Let me start off by saying the star I did give this hotel was ONLY based of the GREATE customer service, compassion and care provide by Manager Alexandria and Corey, Bree in housekeeping and front desk agent Mike and holding the customer service standards Best Western promotes. But unfortunately this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Over my stay here I had somebody do a hit and run on my car in the hotel parking lot and the hotel could care less about the hundreds of dollars of damage I endured while my property was on the property while being a PAY CUSTOMER. After I noticed my car was DAMAGED, I immediately go to the front desk to ask if I could see the camera footage so I could report the crime of the person hitting my car and doing a hit and run on my vehicle. Immediately general manager Tim working on July 4th 2025 was very rude and unprofessional about the situation and could've cared less about the crime that was committed in the parking lot. Made statements talking about "he could see my car" and then the next minute "he can't see it or who hit my and I need to call the police". Like sir if you can see my car on camera you CAN see who hit my car and I really didn't want to call the police and press charges about the property damage really just wanted it for my insurance company. Then employees stated" we can see your car so i don't know why Tim said that, the issue is we don't have access to the footage". So I called the police thinking that would help the General manager Tim realize the person who hit my car and left was wrong and he needed to get on the phone with his bosses to rectify the situation by giving me or the police the license plate number and description of the person and vehicle. Nope he still done nothing and wouldn't speak to them and could've cared less the one of his customers cars just got damaged in the parking lot. Customer service is HORRIBLE from corporate, to management and 50% of employees at the hotel. This hotel has been having issue with the safety of customers and customers property and general manager Tim, owner and corporate couldn't care less. This hotel allows non paying customers to come there and do whatever they please, party's in the parking lot, reckless driving through the parking lot, and are allowed to come in and out of the hotel like they are guest. Pool wasn't opening on time, things like (towels) will be locked and only provide at certain times, if your staying multiple days they won't do the bare minimum of taking trash out and bring trash bags or fresh towels to the room. I've spent weeks on the phone with corporate and the hotel try to resolve this in the best way for them, and myself. But unfortunately I have received no help or response from them and they couldn't care less about the damages people are doing to customers at the hotel. This hotel does have security camera that do work but Tim, the owner and cooperate office "don't have access to it" which is very concerning "They don't have access to it and after weeks they still couldn't get access " which is very concerning seeing as crimes are happening to customers staying at the hotel. Best Western Plus Augusta is NOT the family friendly hotel you'd think you're staying at. I have reported them to the better business bureau and have chosen to take legal action against as well as the person who damaged my property because. Yes I understand the hotel didn't grow legs and hit my car BUT the hotel is withholding evidence of a crime by refusing to go speak to the officer that came that day and turn over at least the license plate of the person who left the the scene of a accident, the hotel and corporate have refused to respond to me or my insurance company so my insurance could deal with the person who committed the crime of a hit and run on my vehicle and now the hotel is playing into the emotional and Financial damages this situation has caused me. It sucks the hotel wants go through all of this for somebody else other then them to be held accountable for the damages they caused to me. read more

I recently stayed here for business and the hotel is not as described or advertised. I booked a king jaccuzi room. I was assigned room 122, it was at the end of the hall right at the exit door, I smelled smoke from the construction guys staying at the property, although they advertise NO SMOKING. Second, the rooms are dated with disgustingly smelly carpet, the jacuzzi tub in room 122 is dated, filled with hair inside the jet, dirt stains and did not properly drain. I didn't even get in it. Then, there was construction going on, failed to mentioned this on their website, breakfast was cold egg/cheese omelet. They advertise hot breakfast. When i first arrived I was not able to opearte the T.V. had to get help from the front desk clerk. It took more than 30 minutes to get it working. i asked to be moved to a different room but was denied. the next day the internet and T.V. went out for two days, the printer did not work although they advertise a business center with printer. This hotel is older and the prices they charge are ridicules; $121 plus taxes a night is ROBBERY! And the rates change daily, even though I booked through the Best Western website for one night the rate change to $147. 75. Based on the dated condition, old plumbing, old electrical, below average cleanliness and the shortage of competent staff, this hotel should not be allowed to charge no more than $50 a night taxes included, until it is MODERNIZED, completes a deep cleaning, update the rooms and furniture. I do not recommend this hotel if you are a business traveler unless, its construction and you smoke and don't need WI-FI, T.V., hot breakfast or printing. I requested a full refund and after 13 days, I was only credited one night stay. I want a full refund. The GM Christie Cowart has failed to contact me offer an apology or honor their "WE CLEAN CARE INITIATIVE" promise. I stay at hotels at least twice a month. Different hotels in different states but never have a weird feeling like at this hotel. I feel like something in the room, and seeing something on the corner of eye. My boyfriend said he couldn't sleep the whole night. He keep hearing sounds come from the bathroom. He said he feels like something is inside the room too but the entity just there with no negative though. Oh we stay in room 215 so I don't think we going to here again. read more

I stayed at this best western two times on two different weeks with one being a tues - thurs visit on my first stay and a mon- wed visit on my second. Both visits were wiith very similar stays each time. Pros for this Best western were they're very clean. I never saw any part of this hotel that made me weary of staying. They also have, on both visits had no trouble with noise. Outside of a few doors closing while people went in and out of their units, I never heard any phone conversations, random bumps or anything that would detract from my own rest and quiet A constant bad for me has been their internet. WiFi is free with your room, and there is a code provided to log on. I've been using WiFi and had the network just vanish for 5 minutes or so. One time? Pretty forgivable, but it happens enough where I put my device down and wonder what's going on. With my first unit, I had a fruit fly issue, and while I didn't have an issue on my second visit, I did notice the little pests flying around in the common areas. A king sized bed was my first unit, followed by two queens on my second. The beds were firm but slept well. Standards like flat screen tv, microwave, coffee pot, mini fridge safe (costs extra to use) and things like a swimming pool and elevator are all things everyone has access to. There is a continental breakfast which is slightly more than that. Your standard fare includes bagels, muffins and bread for toast. THey also have biscuits, sausage, egg, waffles you make on your own and a little yogurt station where you can make your yogurt cup. Pretty decent breakfast. Parking is located in the front and the rear. Front parking gets full quickly, so if you want easy exit onto Park west drive, you would do well to park early to get a spot. Exiting the lot is no problem though, and fortunately I-20 is literally less than half a mile away. Best western has a points system, like other hotels, but I do like their little gift bag for "preferred" members. In a bag came two bottles of water, a granola bar and a small bag of chips. Pair all of that with a free continental breakfast and you have free breakfast, lunch and a snack taken care of. Nice! I like this hotel. For its price, cleanliness and customer service, I can and have stayed more than one time, and wouldn't be shocked to find myself staying a third time, but I will keep it at a 3 star experience though based off of the complaints I had. Should you let those complaints stop you from staying? I don't think so. It's a decent place to lay your head and gets the job done for me! read more

This place was NOT it. Bugs and worms not only in our room, but in the DINING AREA! It is super run down. Felt like a motel 6. Stunk like moldy water. Would have left if it wasn't the only hotel with availability for the night on our cross country drive. Would not recommend. read more

First room tv didn't work! Second room the ac unit barely worked. The ac unit didn't actually cool the room just keep it manageable. Second room also had an m&m center of the floor as you walked into the room. Bed sheets had small tears in them as well. read more

I stayed Friday-Sunday. For the most part everything was wonderful except the coffee maker didn't work and my keys took forever to let me in my room every time. It literally took like 10 tries each but then I discovered a trick of putting it in the wrong way then the right way for it to work. Customer service was good and breakfast was good. We stayed here because the VA booked our room. While we were supposed to have a smoke free room as soon as we opened the door the stench just about knocked us down. It was ridiculous. At checkout we informed the desk clerk of the issue, and she simply said, "Okay. I'll let them know." Who is "them"? What are "they" going to do about it? We won't be staying at this hotel again if we can help it. read more

Usually stay here when I or my husband have a doctor's appointment at the nearby VA hospital. Never had any issues until this time. We both woke up to bed bugs biting us ! There was actually an infestation because they were in both beds and huge enough to see from across the room! It was 3am and hotel was supposedly full. We ended up sitting up rest on of the night, which defeated the purpose of staying to rest! So very disappointed Covid clean but bedbug trouble read more

Great hotel, Management was very accommodating. I did have to change rooms, because someone vaped pretty hard or smoked in the room. I was relocated to another room, very clean. Cookies are a great touch. Easy access to freeway, as well as restaurants. Nice place! read more

We stayed here for 3 nights, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was fresh and great and the staff was AWESOME. The night staff esp. Robin at the front desk was so welcoming and ready to help with what ever we needed, she is definitely a valued employee. We hope to see her again on a future visit. read more

This was my second time staying here. The first time I stayed the room was okay it was just very muggy and humid. That's the only thing I didn't like. Other than that my first stay was okay. This last time was the same with the muggy humid air & when we first walked in the room smelled bad!! It smelled like feet & we told the front desk she just gave us freshener. She was a nice lady but I was hoping she would offer to move us. Also our phone was broken & we had to have someone come fix it. Overall it's not a bad hotel compared to others ,but it does need some improvement. read more

Great stay! Close to everything, easy access to highway. The continental breakfast was a little limited for those who don't eat me (like me). Very nice clean hotel. Victoria at the front desk could not have been more helpful! We arrived late and tired after riding motorcycles all day and her patience and demeanor were outstanding. She was very helpful! We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and the coffee was the best I have ever had in a hotel and I did tell the gentleman in the dining area that. It actually tasted like coffee! Our room was clean and quiet and our 1 night stay was very relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

The night I checked in I asked for a late check-out, 12:00pm & my request was granted.The next morning housekeeping is tapping on my door, with what I think was a coin, & calling out "housekeeping". I realized I had forgotten to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door so I got up & put that sign out on the door handle. I got back into bed but could not fully return back to sleep because the housekeeping crew kept talking & laughing loudly. Approximately at 10:40 the woman at the front desk called me & asked me did I forget to drop my keys off before I left, & mentioned that everyone else in the hotel had checked out.At this late hour there was no reason to try to get back to sleep. I immediately called back down to the front desk & told the woman that I had a late check-out scheduled and she confirmed that she just looked in the computer and saw that was true.If this woman thought I had left the hotel then why didn't she call MY CELL PHONE? The loud talking in the hallway never stopped & I could see the shadow of of feet standing at my door.When I went out to get the suitcase cart all 3 housekeepers were silent until I got onto the elevator then there was loud laughter.Upon returning to my room I saw that SOMEONE HAD TAKEN THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN OFF MY DOOR!As I closed my door I Immediately hear the housekeeping crew burst into laughter.When I dropped the keys at the front desk, the clerk looked straight at me & said nothing. No apology.All this was INTENTIONAL HARASSMENT. I am disabled and need 10 to 12 hours sleep every night. This caused me a miserable trip back home and a miserable weekend from chest pains and heart flutters which are a physical response to high anxiety. I did not feel safe being targeted by the hotels own staff. I can say this hotel is in a convenient area...too bad for me from now on. read more
