Cheap and clean! Wasn't expecting much of the breakfast, but was happy to find a smidge of protein (nukeable mini sausage biscuits). And the coffee was surprisingly GOOD (which for me can make up for all kinds of shortcomings). Would certainly stay here again. read more

NO... RUN AWAY! Blood & Vomit stained mattress cover! If negative 5 stars were available that is what I would have chosen. The bedding looked decent upon entering, and that is usually the first thing we check. We ate and showered before getting comfortable, that's when we discovered the comforter was wet(as if the bed was made that way). So all linen was damp, asked for new, when I stripped the bed is when I saw what was clearly vomit in 1 corner and dried blood on the opposite end. Desk clerk came in with new bedding, when I showed him the grossness that was very evident, he said it could be an old drink spill... "Ummm do drinks have CHUNKS??" Needless to say we checked out and asked for a refund only to be told we could get $10 back...HUH??? For a full refund we would need to see the manager at 7am. Long story short we went back there at 7am the next morning for our full refund and the RUDE -COULDN'T CARE LESS that the room was unfit for humans....no make that Anything.....told us we could get back $25 of the $74 that was paid ...due to the room being "USED" (yea...a couple of showers, and using those paper thin towels to dry off with) a FULL REFUND WAS OUT OF THE QUESTION. WE HAVE NO WORDS for such IGNORANT NEGLECT to expect any guest to want to stay at your property under such conditions, we had to wonder if Management thinks that is a clean room what conditions do they live in at home??? A couple other things ......mattress pad also covered in hair and dirt. Bed skirt simply Gross! 30 minutes after showering our feet were filthy; clearly the carpet is never cleaned. We put socks on and l threw them away when we walked out of that room because of the many black BUGS that found their home in them. Grease all over the coffee maker. Electrical socket covered in grime & dust. Bug in ice bucket. Stained & burnt blankets on bed. Pillows dingy & grey (pretty sure original color WAS white). They have made lots of updates since I was last here. The carpets are new and there is fresh paint on the walls, flat screen TV's and all the rooms are non-smoking. The beds need an update, but other than that, it's a nice room for a very low price. They even have a small fitness center with a treadmill, elliptical, bike and a weight machine. The staff is very nice and helpful, the breakfast is pretty standard, nothing fancy, but they keep it very well stocked and clean. Most of the people who stay here are either orchestra members (during the season) or they are contractors who are usually gone before you get out of bed. It's not luxury accommodations, but it's a nice clean hotel for a good price. I'll seats stay here when I'm in Augusta. :-) read more

Just please don't go to West Bank Inn located at 2904 Washington Rd., Augusta Georgia. Bedbugs woke me up around 4:00 AM on June 8, 2021. I'll pull the covers back it was black mold on the sheets. I called the front desk to let someone know and it was supposed to be reported this morning to management. Upon checking out this morning we spoke to management to No one seem to care of the young lady said the bedbugs could invite bite through A sheet shine are you Trippin young lady are you really serious. I proceeded to show her where the bite was on my arm she still denied that bed bug but me steals in tonight at the bugs bit me. We're was not compensate us our money back we're not even give us half of a refund back. So whatever you do be aware bedbug live there!!! Mold on showe curtains and the sheets also. Was looking for a hotel and came across the West Bank Inn. I must admit I was skeptical at first, you know you hear stories about BED BUGS at hotels. Nobody wants to get that. Any moving forward to my experience..... We Stayed here for 3 nights. The first room we received was unclean but the lady who checked us in was nice and changed our room for us. Pros - inexpensive - near the highway, restaurants and gas stations - shower was GREAT ( water pressure was awesome) - Wifi - Gym - Breakfast - Parking Cons - Towels barely cover you - Need a room attendant on site at all times ( our room did not get cleaned after the first day) - Make sure all appliances work ( our fridge had mold) - Bathroom missing a few essentials items such as a toilet brush - Alarm clock was stuck on 2:23 ( thank god we had our phones) - No elevator read more

Spent a relaxing night here on my way north from Florida. It's well located just off the highway and the rooms are beautiful. I was upgraded from a single (the only room available was ADA accessible) to a double. My main gripe is that this is one of those tiny-pillow hotels. I grouped them together as best I could, but I never sleep well when I slide off the pillow every time I turn over. Other than that, it's nicely appointed and you can enjoy the free breakfast, available earlier than you are (5:30 due to the prevalence of contract workers here, I was told). Didn't notice any of the usual contract worker issues, such as late night rowdiness, bad crowds outside, etc. read more

For the price, this motel did its job quite well. We stayed here just one night as a half way point on our trip. The room seemed cleaned. It had a microwave, fridge, and a flat screen TV. The AC kept the room nice and cool which is a must in the summer. The linens seemed clean. The hotel staff were very nice and welcoming. Only two things we didn't like - it was supposed to be a non-smoking room but upon walking in it smelled like somebody had broken that rule once or twice. After the AC got running though it smelt a lot better. Also, there were about three or four flies buzzing around the room. They didn't keep us awake or anything but it was kind of gross. This is my favorite place to stay in Augusta. Its quiet for being on a main road. The owners and staff are so very cordial and greet you like you are friends. The rooms are clean and the beds are decent. I am going to suggest new pillows. But for the money, they are my home away from home. read more

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the price is right. My husband and I stayed 2 non-consecutive nights during our PCS to Ft. Gordon, and it was SO helpful to have a clean, safe place to rest our heads. The water pressure is exceptional, and the shower heads have different settings. Between all that and the free breakfast, and wifi, there is really nothing else I could want from a hotel. There are also some really nice features like an iron, and beautiful wood hangers -- both a fridge and a microwave. Plus! They have white duvets, and I literally won't stay in a hotel without bedding that can be bleached on the daily. If you're in Augusta, do yourself a favor and stay at The West Bank Inn. Well I was traveling for work and I found them in a Google search. Read the reviews and had my company pick them. Checked in was very friendly staff at the office. Room is very nice for the price of the stay. It's an older style hotel with parking outside the door. I like that. I lucked up and got the handy capped room. Has some what of a smaller bed but the bathroom is huge . Bed is firm , no smells in the room. Nicely painted walls. They have a free breakfast in the mornings which is nice. It's very close to McDonald's and a place called cook out. I have enjoyed my stay here , I have even brought in another employee for the company to stay here. Was exhausted after a long drive on little sleep and had booked a room online a few days before. Though the young woman checking me in seemed more preoccupied with her CNA training book than looking me in the eyes and being welcoming, the West Bank Inn lived up to its reviews in every other way. My room was clean and super accommodating. The fridge had a freezer (overrun with ice but a freezer nonetheless which is harder to find, especially on a budget) and the microwave was decent. I had great wireless data coverage there so I was able to stream right to the tv in the room with my Roku. The breakfast was appropriate, bagels, mini sausage biscuit sandwiches, pre-made pancakes, cereal, juice, tea, coffee, oatmeal, yogurt. Great location with lots of food options. My gym was a few miles away. For the price, and given its location and cleanliness/essentials, this was an amazing value and I would absolutely return if I ever had a trip to or through Augusta. read more

I Enjoyed my stay in Augusta Georgia. Because of it's picturesque décor and architectural styles, brought there by settlers from countries Greek, Spanish, Italian, French along with Victorian, Colonial, Queen Anne, Gothic , Federal and Rome. They remain today because I think Gen. Sherman liked it didn't destroy this town on his "War March To The Sea" 'near Savannah. the River Walk: your first stop, It will relax you ,listen to the river flow by. Places to dine and I-520 make travel fast around city. My hotel , WEST BANK INN, was great, breakfast daily, clean, quiet, rest well, short walk to any type fast food, great desk help and assistance. This was the first time that I ever stayed in a hotel for $100 a night and I certainly would have ever stayed in a hotel that the doors are not confined.. Well I did and I was not disappointed. My wife and I stopped in Augusta from Fl going back home to Roanoke Va.. I was very hesitant at first, my wife said come on we are staying here. Many improvements with new ownership. Stayed here several years ago during Masters golf week and again this year. Very clean and the staff is friendly and available. Only downside was that there were several middle of the night delivery/garbage trucks that were very noisy at the adjacent properties. read more

This has got to be the worst hotel ever the first few nights there were pleasant. The girl who checked me in the first night I believe her name was Faye was the nicest person there out of the whole staff and another girl named Ashley I housekeeper. The other housekeepers we're rude would not even give me towels or toilet paper just because my room number was not on their list. I had to check out after a week stay just to switch rooms I had accidentally left clothes in the room went back to get them and I was told they were no longer available. the next day they were found in the trash and some were found in the other housekeepers cart. There are cameras everywhere so we were told that they would be able to find them well nothing was ever done no kind of payment was offered in return not even a single discount for a room I do not recommend this place to anybody. The staff did not know I was sitting in the lobby waiting when they came in bad-mouthing me and my guest that was staying with me. When they realize they were standing right in front of us they turned around and looked at us like we were in the wrong and did not even apologize. So if you are looking for a hotel that will bad mouth you and that will steal your belongings then I recommend the West bank inn. read more

Great spot! I found this place on Orbitz, and the reviews were all fantastic. The building looks a little aged from the outside, but my room was extremely comfortable and clean. The front desk person was very friendly, even though I got in pretty late at night, free wi-fi, and the hot breakfast in the morning was very good. All this, for a very reasonable price. There was some noise and light pollution from being on a large street, but I am from Los Angeles, so I hardly noticed it. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Augusta. read more

My son his stationed here on Ft Gordon. I now know I have a great place to stay every time I come to visit. Front desk staff treated me like family, so warm and friendly. The room was so clean! Comfortable bed, great shower. Microwave/frig in room. Convenient central location to all the places I had to go, as this was at the end of a business trip. We just stayed there on May 7-9. The staff was very friendly and the lobby was small but clean. We were in the room right next to the lobby and I was happy about that. The room was clean, smelled nice, I was never afraid to walk around barefoot. The bed was a little hard but the bedding was nice and clean. The hotel was very convenient to everything we were in town for. The room was very comfortable and I was impressed with it. I was in town with my daughter and my infant granddaughter for my daughter's graduation from med school. It was a very warm day so I invited a couple people back to the room to sit in the nice air conditioned room, to my surprise and horror, the room had not been cleaned. I went to the desk and the young man was very apologetic. He asked if the do not disturb sign had been out most of the day and I said we took it off the door between 10 and 10:15 but we didn't leave til around 11:30 and no one came to the room. I would have let this go but my daughter showed me a spent needle from a diabetic test kit on the counter. IT was very tiny and could have been missed when the room was cleaned. But if we had had a toddler with us or an inquisitive child they would have found it sooner and could have been a disaster. Again, I would have let this go..because it was so small and I would have never seen it if my daughter hadn't pointed it out to me. Then at 3 in the morning, there was a car outside our door for over 20 minutes. The people in the car were very very loud, they woke me up, woke my daughter and the baby. I complained at the desk the next morning as were checking out and the desk clerk was very apologetic about all 3 incidents and told me, when I inquired, that the owner would give me a small rebate and she would have her call me. I waited and never got a call back, so I called yesterday. I was called a liar and told that there was not a needle on the counter and that the 3 in the morning wake up was from late night check ins and they were told to be quiet. And that we left the do not disturb sign on the door all day. Being called a liar is what got to me..I am not a complainer and would not have complained about any of them, except to let them know what we saw, heard, etc. If the woman I spoke to yesterday had been apologetic and even said, " I am sorry about what happened, thank you for your input, we will make sure it never happens again" I would have let it go..instead she called me a liar. read more
