3.5 stars. Really good, but not great. The bed was a little hard for my taste and not the plush, sink into it kind I am used to. The room was also smaller than expected. The hotel itself, especially the downstairs area, is beautiful and the service from the front desk to the valet was EXCELLENT. Still, some details missed the mark. The TV signal kept going out, the room service orange juice was not good, and the water was tap with visible particles. The also shower didn't get super hot. The location is unbeatable and I would stay again, but we moved to the Marshall House afterward for less money and preferred it there. The location was basically identical.

The epitome of southern hospitality and hands down the best place to stay at in Savannah, Georgia. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by the most beyond amazing staff along with being offered ice cold water and an easy check in process. The staff was very accommodating throughout our stay. Being that I lived in Savannah 20 years ago, I have bragged about how incredible Savannah's hospitality is and the staff here definitely showed up. Huge thank you to Joey, Jackie, Cindi, and Darnell or as I refer to them as the dream team for making our stay so incredible. I hope they promote you all into management. Our room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Honestly, one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Perfect if you have jet lag. I love that the toiletries have peppermint so you repeal bugs, which is a must in the south. Great alternative if you forget the bug spray. There's a coffee bar, restaurant, and a speakeasy bar that was Alice and wonderland themed. In the afternoon you are offered champagne, which is such a nice touch. They have bikes available to sightsee rather than walking. This hotel is close to everything in case you want to walk and explore shops, dining, etc. Overall, this hotel is beautifully decorated and charming. Something Savannah is known for. I highly recommend this hotel. Especially because it's pet friendly!

The Drayton Hotel remains one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. It is also one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. The staff is so so welcoming and helpful. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous as is the restaurant/bar attached to it. I had a complimentary breakfast for each night at the restaurant attached and it was absolutely delicious. Amazing coffee and a few great options to eat. I also visited their rooftop for drinks and a snack and it was so lovely. The bartenders were great and so were the drinks along with the views of Savannah. Finally the door. Oh, how lovely it was! I absolutely loved the decor. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was so spacious. The floors were a little dirty with crumbs and hair but honestly it didn't take away from how great the room was. You have amazing snacks and a fridge full of drinks to choose from as well. The location is lovely, very walkable. I thought maybe it would be too loud since it was next to a main road but fear not, it was super quiet! I can't wait to visit Savannah again and stay here!

We loved the Drayton! From the moment we walked in, it had an amazing vibe, the lobby is a great place to sit and have coffee or read or just unwind and relax. our room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The mini fridge with drinks and snacks was perfect. We asked for extra blankets stepped out to eat and when we returned we had a huge cozy comforter waiting. We had breakfast from the hotel restaurant daily in our room and coffee from the on-site coffee shop. Drinks at the rooftop bar and went down to the speakeasy bar in the basement it was closed but looked really nice The staff is very friendly and helpful. 100% would stay here if we return to Savannah and totally recommend the this hotel if you are staying in Savannah

Definitely adding this to the list of places to stay in Savannah. The lobby had a great boutique vibe and is well located within walking distance of commonly toured places. I only experienced their rooftop bar. It had a rich east coast beach look and feel with a great rooftop view of the river and the town hall. They had a great musician that brought the guest together.

We had a wonderful night at this hotel. From this historic building to their staff and their breakfast:) . Ambience is wonderful too :) I would recommend this hotel and we are pretty sure we are coming to this place whenever we are this area.

Overall, I would not come again. gorgeous interior design and lovely staff however not very accommodating. we requested extra blankets because the double beds were so small we could hardly fit and our request was shut down throughly. small room for the high price anddddd our rooms were not cleaned!!! however the hotel does have a lot of special touches for example I came to celebrate my birthday and someone brought up to the room champagne and cake and a hand written letter which was very thoughtful. I recommend this for a girls trip or younger adults who are coming to barhop bc the location is primeeeeee. but if you're looking for a very comfortable stay that is relaxing this is not it because the wooden floors make it very noisy. ps. does any one else experience damp bedding, carpet, rug at hotels?! this is like the 2nd time it's happened to me n it's gross n uncomfy to sleep and walk on!!!! UPDATE: the hotel manager had called and was veryyy sweet about the inconveniences and offered accommodations, i think this was more of a situational issue!!!

Jacob was the best!! My fiancé and I were visiting from out of town and were so wowed by the drinks he made- we came back the next two days! He was so friendly and we could have hung out at the bar with him all night! This drink also changed my life it was so good. I also love the vibes of this rooftop- it's so chill but beautiful and modern. 10/10 for us

On our way down to Florida to visit family, my wife and I wanted to stop in Savannah for one night. We brought our two small dogs with us and everywhere we have stayed in Savannah before that were dog friendly, have been terrible. So we decided to pay the extra money and book a night at The Drayton. And so worth it! The hotel is beautiful. It's designed well, has a swanky feel and is surrounded by gorgeous prints and greenery. There's a little coffee shop and a full service restaurant on the first level. The rooftop bar is indoors but they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor space is private and again great for bringing your well behaved pups! I booked in advance online and had to call them multiple times to ask questions and get clarification. They were so incredibly patient with me. Upon arrival, they were really helpful with bringing our luggage up and even brought up additional things we needed. We also asked them to microwave our homemade dog food, and bless their hearts - I could tell they were annoyed but did it nonetheless. While our room was small, it was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was clean except for you could tell they hadn't cleaned the floors in awhile. I had to wipe some water that spilled and the whole napkin was black. Otherwise, great. Comfortable and quality linens and bed. Checking out was easy breezy. Valet parking is available, and hard to find. It's right in the alley of the hotel and no clear signs. I suggest calling them upon arrival to send someone to meet you outside. Definitely going to be our go-to hotel when we are in town!

We loved this place so much we came back for dinner!!! We only came here for the rooftop bar but ended up walking around the hotel and checking everything out. The rooftop was very nice and cozy and had plenty of seating. I was too focused on making new friends that I couldn't even remember what I ordered to drink. I do remember the view was very beautiful and we enjoyed our time very much so.

This is a review strictly of the rooftop bar. I haven't stayed at the hotel overnight yet. The lobby of the new Drayton Hotel is well done, warm and inviting. It smells almost as good as the Alida and is designed with a sophisticated retro vibe. We took the lobby up to the roof for a cocktail and was impressed by the decor and cleanliness of the lobby, hallway and elevators. The rooftop was deserted, but that didn't stop the bartender from making us feel right at home. He was very professional, personable and proud of the space. We didn't order any speciality cocktails, but the drinks were well made and potent, albeit a bit pricy. The rooftop has a nice wraparound area, with a view of the river and city hall. The view is somewhat obstructed by a high barrier wall around the outdoor area. Seating was arranged in various configurations with classy wicker furniture. The seating could be a touch more comfortable with some cushions. The outdoor area would benefit from some nicer lighting, a fire pit or two and maybe some heaters. Some classy live music would also be welcomed. The hotel just opened so I am sure they will tweak the space in the coming weeks. All in all, the Drayton is a positive addition to the bay st corridor. I look forward to trying some of their food and seeing how the put the excellent rooftop area to use.

This place is class all the way! We had to park in the parking garage across the street and the bellhop rolled a cart over to get our luggage and bring it up to our room. The hotel is GORGEOUS! The check-in desk is beautifully decorated with lots of plants and the lobby is eccentric, funky and comfortable. The staff are amazing. Very personable, overly accommodating, and very helpful in suggesting different restaurants and shops to visit. The rooftop bar was empty but the bartender was ready to serve. We were on our way to dinner so we just wanted to check it out but it's a beautiful, serene place to relax and have a cocktail. Our room was on the small side but very chic and tastefully decorated, very up-to-date. We took the time to have a cocktail in our room and sit on the large window seat looking out over Fitzroy's next door. It's perfectly located. Everything you want is within walking distance. We can't wait to go back.

In town to price out hotel room blocks and ceremony space for our upcoming wedding. We were in town on a Sunday so most sales staff were off and back on Monday, which is understandable. Upon visiting the Drayton we were expecting the same response as the other hotels we visited earlier. The front desk attendant at The Drayton went out of her way to show us what she could and made sure to get the GM to show us around since the sales team was also not available. This was very nice of her and Nikolai the GM was very accommodating and informative about their establishment. The hotel is fairly new and remodelled. They did an amazing job in the redesign with a West Indies meets retro 20s vibe. The rooms and event spaces were beautiful and meticulously designed down to every little detail. I definitely would recommend a stay and possible event destination.

A Perfect Anniversary Stay in Savannah!…read more We recently visited Savannah for our anniversary and stayed at the Perry Lane Hotel, and we absolutely loved our stay! From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, and has such a great atmosphere. What really stood out to us, though, was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They truly made us feel special throughout our stay. The location is fantastic, too. You're just a few blocks from River Street, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, bars, and things to do within easy walking distance. It was the perfect home base for exploring Savannah. And the rooftop bar was phenomenal! The drinks, atmosphere, and especially the view were absolutely stunning. Watching Savannah from up there was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I also have to mention one of the funniest little things about the hotel. Every time I got on the elevator, I was greeted by these two little statue sculptures with the most hilarious expressions! They honestly made me laugh every single time. I eventually had to take pictures of them because they became part of the experience! Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Beautiful hotel, amazing location, wonderful staff, and a rooftop with an incredible view. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return!

I asked one of the male staff about it in the front desk and they said that there was nothing they can do and that the elevators will be both back up at 8:30 AM. We went out and took a stroll, came back around 9:00 AM and the elevators were not yet fixed. It was just ridiculous! Later on in the day, they managed to get ONE of the elevators working :) The next morning, we went to breakfast at 7 AM and everything is broken! Only one elevator is working, there is no coffee at all, no pancakes, and even the juice machine got hit! It was honestly insane. If you go on vacation, just go somewhere else.

The lobby is sensory overload when you first enter it. It's colorful with silver dinosaur bones and pterodactyls overhead. I kid you not! If that wasn't impressive enough, there are humongous crystal geodes on display. Some of the were even larger than me. There's an entrance to an African themed bar which served African inspired dishes, which I'd never had before. All this may seem like it shouldn't go together, but it does. The rooms were stylishly elegant. The bathroom is spacious and well stocked with bathrobes, slippers and quality toiletries. The beds and pillows were plush and cozy. Since we were there for a conference, the ample work area was appreciated. There is a chaise lounge right next to the window where I watched steamboats and cargo ships sail by on the Savannah River. The location was predictably right next to the river. I spent a whole day just walking on the River Walk with a variety of restaurants, dessert shops, candy stores, bars, cafes and souvenir shops. While it was geared towards tourists, which I was, I didn't have to go far from my hotel to get a taste of Savannah. There are historical buildings complete with the moss covered tress and cobblestone streets (which sounds quaint until you walk on it without twisting an ankle). Coming from hotel industry, I can appreciate a well run 5 Diamond hotel. While the stay was extra ordinary, there were a few things I wasn't fond of. The hotel has 3 parts to it. We were staying in the 3 Muses, which is a separate building and bit of a walk from the lobby. The walk isn't an easy one, which was an issue for my elderly father. Since we visited in the summer and the weather was hot and humid, walking out of the airconditioned lobby to trek over to the 3 Muses was less than ideal with my glasses fogging up at each entry and exit. But these were minor hiccups in an otherwise fantastic stay.

I would think that quiet hours for the pool would be 9 PM, but apparently they aren't. I believe they are 10 PM. There was a group of what appeared to be teenagers screaming nonstop for about three hours straight. I don't know, if I was staff at a hotel, I would probably tell them to keep it down after 8 PM, but that's just me. It sounds like the rooms on the other side of the hotel are really noisy as well, so I guess moving and wouldn't have done much. The valet took a really long time in the morning. I wouldn't have minded that if they would have told us in the beginning, but when you check in, they tell you to give them five minutes to retrieve your vehicle. It took the guy 20 minutes to respond to my request (I was first in the queue) and I had to go walk down and grab the car myself because I needed to leave immediately. It sounds like he was managing two properties, so not his fault. When not knowing where the valet was, the front desk wasn't helpful. She kind of dismissed the issue. She did end up calling him, but she didn't act like she cared about our situation at all in the beginning. It actually prompted us to take action and another gentleman waiting for his car went and looked in the valet garage to see if somebody was even there because he was having the same issues. Anyways, my first and last time staying at this hotel. Too many other options in the area. I really need a reliable valet, unfortunately.

I was honestly frustrated by my stay here, especially after reading past reviews…read more For years, guests have mentioned the truck noise, and management keeps replying with the same line about "sharing feedback with the appropriate teams." After staying here, it's clear nothing has actually changed, which is disappointing. I was on the 5th floor facing Bay Street, which turns out to be a major truck route near the interstate. The AC unit was loud, so I turned it off since it was cool outside. That's when the real issue became obvious. There's a traffic light right by the hotel, so trucks constantly stop, idle, and then accelerate again. The noise was incredibly loud, to the point where it felt like I was standing right on the sidewalk. Sleeping was difficult. It also made me wonder about room assignments. If this has been a known issue for years, you'd think they'd avoid placing guests with status in those rooms. A quieter-facing room would have made a big difference. There were a few other issues: * Couldn't access the pool or jacuzzi with the digital key (only the gym worked) * The jacuzzi itself looked worn and in need of refinishing * No complimentary water in the room or lobby, which is surprising given the Savannah heat (though there were cookies and coffee downstairs) * Toilet seat was oddly shaped and uncomfortable * Bedside lamp outlets were loose and didn't hold a charger securely * The clock on the nightstand was extremely bright at night with no way to dim it On the positive side, the lobby has a nice fireplace, and I appreciated the bathroom nightlight. All the staff I encountered seemed very young, under 30, which made me wonder if most roles here are entry-level. I couldn't help but notice a consistent pattern in who was working which positions, while visiting the south. Overall, the biggest issue is the noise and the lack of real action on something that's been raised repeatedly over the years.

Wow! What a great hotel full of southern charm and wonderful staff. Recently did a sister trip to…read moreSavannah and chose this hotel. Everywhere is walkable in Savannah in the historic district, but this hotel is in the heart of the city. The hotel is historic, but clean and updated. The staff is amazing. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included, plus an evening gathering with a historian one night, a singer one night, and a harpist. Every place from the restaurants to the waterfront were all a 10 minute walk or less! Highly recommend!

The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of food, and the dinner was delicious. They also offered popcorn and drinks, which was a nice bonus. The pool and hot tub were clean, and every staff member I encountered was extremely nice. My only small issue was with breakfast. Being military, sometimes I have to report to work around 4-5 AM and need to grab breakfast to eat on the way. When I asked one employee for a to-go container, her response came across a little snobby NO. Thankfully, another gentleman overheard and kindly provided me with containers. I really appreciated him and wish I had gotten his name! Other than that one interaction, I had everything I needed and truly enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely stay at Drury Inn again anytime!

A big bonus was the morning breakfast and evening happy hour with complimentary drinks, including a free cocktail, which was a really nice touch after a day out. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The walk-in shower was large and well designed, and the beds were very comfortable, making it easy to relax and sleep well. The gym was also perfect for what we needed, just enough equipment to get a solid workout in each day. The location was convenient, close enough to downtown Savannah while still being quiet and easy to access. Overall, we highly recommend staying here, and it's a great option for anyone traveling with dogs since they are pet friendly.
