This is one of two hotels available in the area because there's literally nothing around lol, but it was actually a really nice hotel experience. They were clean for the most part, the hotel staff was super nice and welcoming. I do wish they had a little bit more breakfast options, like bacon but for overall the sausage patties and gravy was really good. I also had a banana nut muffin and it was moist and really good flavor. I was impressed with my experience there. read more

The hotel rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. In room 310 when you start the shower in the bathroom it smells like chlorine from the pool. When I turn the light on it did not turn on intel you flick the light switch a few times then the light turns on. Also, I can hear the traffic. read more

This motel was exactly what we needed. First, the LOCATION was perfect for easy access to and from I-95. Also, the RATE was reasonable at less than $100/night. The beds were comfortable and the room itself was quiet. There was no shortage of outlets in our reach. Next, continental BREAKFAST was included this morning. The bar included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, sausage gravy, biscuits, sliced bread, muffins, various cereals, various flavors of yogurt, various juices, coffee, and a make-your-own waffle bar (regular or cinnamon). The tables in the dining area even had outlets for making sure our gadgets were completely charged before we resumed our trip. Overall, we highly recommend this location. The staff was kind, attentive, and courteous. The star is lacking because the fridge in our room was hot - an unfortunate surprise for a nursing mom and infant. We were tired and opted to just retrieved ice to pull through the night. read more

My second day there I had no way to Myrtle Beach from the hotel cause Uber doesn't come there. Ranee referred someone to me to take me to the airport. If you're afraid of the dark, this is the hotel for you. After a 12 hour drive on our way back from Florida we were exhausted and happy with the fast and friendly check in. The room was clean and looked like it had been recently refurbished. The beds were comfortable. There was a floodlight right outside our room that was so bright you couldn't look directly at it. It was brighter than the floodlights at my town's football field. The pictures don't show the full effect. The new drapes didn't close. They weren't on a rail, they were stuck to the ceiling and permanently open. If you like to sleep in the dark, don't stay here! read more

Quiet, clean, comfy and great team! This lovely BW is located right off I-95, but amazingly quiet, and we felt safe and comfortable. From the pleasant confirmation of our reservation by phone with Christian, to the warm welcome received from Lakilia at checkin, and the proud smile at breakfast from Cheryl who kept the complimentary breakfast area stocked to the General Manager Roy who checked us out and was asking for feedback, this is a lovely team of happy faces. The hotel was very clean, and I appreciated a jug of hand sanitizer on the checkin ledge. I like their choice of Argan Oil Complex soap and amenities which smelled lightly of coconut. I also appreciated Lakilia's offer of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice available 24/7. Our bathroom was very clean, and we appreciated the tub rail. Our bed was soft and comfy and we rested well in the quiet. I did use their business center to print, and it worked fine. We were impressed with the French Toast at breakfast, had not seen that before at BW, and sanitizer there as well. This hotel is located next to a nice PILOT station which was very cheap, $1.95/gal last week, and had a nice Dairy Queen and Wendys, also clean and nice. I arrived here due to miscalculation of an Amtrak stop. Disembarking in Dillon instead of Florence caused me a nightmare of epic proportions but I am not going to use this review to expound on all of my troubles. But I was stuck in Dillon for the night and I needed a place to stay. I called the only cab around serving three states and he just happened to be available. He took me to Latta where the Best Western was located. All I was looking for was a nice clean place to rest my head. What I got was over the top customer service from Ranee, the best sleep ever, and an amazing fresh and varied breakfast to start my woes all over again (It sucks being stuck in the middle of nowhere!) . So I arrive, in from the pouring rain. I am wet, tired, and depressed.  The first face that I encountered was Ranee, and she had a glittery spirit holiday hat on. This really cheered me up. She put me on a quiet floor in a nice quiet room. She told me about your wonderful breakfast and all of this hotels amazing amenities. She was cheerful and smiling during my entire interaction with her. my room had two queens. One flight down was a soda and snack vending machine. There was a 42-inch TV in the room which I watched all night and almost missed check out. There was a full breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage, grits, french toast, bagels, cereal, waffle making station. juices, coffee, tea, oatmeal, and water. It was constantly being replenished. While I remained stranded in Latta for the next few hours, it was due to Ranees cheerful spirit and this wonderful breakfast, that allowed for me to realize that things could be so much worse and I am thankful I had a pace to rest that evening and a place to sit and dine. I never take my fortunes and blessings for granted. Thanks Ranee for being the best guest service agent ever. read more

I usually don't review hotels and places like that but the staff here was very friendly. I was coming into town with someone and hit heavy traffic. Since we arrived so late we got extended check out and they helped us by answering some questions about the area. Definitely glad we stopped here en route to our final destination since we needed the rest. The people who work here have to be the friendliest I've ever met in a hotel. read more

Stopped here on the way to Maryland from Tampa. Basic room with old lumpy mattress. Place is not very well maintained. Dirty carpets and bathroom floor. Ended up leaving at 1:30am because we could not sleep on the beds. Nothing special here. In town for a wedding, really the only place close enough to stay to "Hidden Acres" for a wedding. I'd say it's good for a night or two, but more then that, I would probably try and find something better, even if it were further away. Attention to detail is missing here, dusty headboards, only one towel in the room, missing handles from the dresser. Internet seemed fast enough, tv offered the standard channels. Coffee was alright. Check-in/out was quick. When requested, an extra towel and sheet was quickly provided. Quick on/off I-95 and close to a gas station. If hungry, Shulers about a mile or two down the road is well worth the extra drive for amazing BBQ. Would stay again. read more

The staff was friendly. The beds were comfy and if you don't mind traffic noise from truck drivers it is a nice place to stay.

This was a completely average stay. Nothing above expectations. While swimming in the pool (which I was a little disappointed didn't have a hot tub) I spotted a GIANT roach on the ceiling. While it was just one, that combined with the fact there was one bed bug review (didn't see any), I was on edge all night looking for creepy crawlers in the room. The beds weren't particularly comfortable, the blankets were pretty thin, and the room always felt a little TOO cold or TOO warm. Also I noticed there was a ring around the toilet. The breakfast was pretty good but the coffee was really hard to stomach even with lots of cream. Nothing that I experienced was so horrible and terrible that I wouldn't stay here again or tell someone not to stay here, but it wasn't the best night I've ever had at a hotel or even at a Best Western. read more

When we first pulled up the hotel, I was concerned because it was obvious that the signage and lettering had been removed from the front of the hotel. Nevertheless, we pressed on and went inside. We were assigned to a room on the third floor that was comfortable. BUT there were NO towels and the hand towels that had been left hanging in the bathroom were wet and used. The cleaning staff came through and brought clean towels, wash clothes and hand towels. The room itself was comfortable enough for the one night that we planned to stay on our road trip. The next morning, we received a knock on our door at about 8:30 am. We went to the door but no one was there. We shrugged and got back in bed as check out is not until 11 am. However, there was no sleep to be had. Within 10 minutes of the knocking, there was loud bumping, banging, thumping and talking in the hallway. Something with a metallic sound kept hitting our door. We realized that there would be no more sleep so we got up and proceeded to get dressed so that we could check out. Imagine our shock and surprise when we opened our room door only to trip over broken down metal bed frames. There were mattresses and box springs, dressers and mirrors, construction equipment lining the hallway of the entire third floor! Carpets has been pulled up and rolled into the hallway. In order for my family to make it down the hallway, my oldest son had to go ahead and hold mattresses against the wall so that we could get by. Apparently, we had been booked into a room on a floor that is either getting a massive overhaul or they are moving things out to tear down the hotel. Either way, the experience left much to be desired and Best Western will not be patronized by me or my family again. read more

I stayed there for 2 days this week so that I can be closer to the Plant that I work at in Dillon. The staff was friendly, but I wouldn't stay there again because it's overpriced and old. I thought since it was pricier than the ones in Dillon and it says "Executive" in, that the place would be cleaner and nicer. The halls are dirty and it seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed it weeks. The towels were thin and sheets old as well as the furniture. I could have stayed at others in Dillon for the same type of hotel. Next time I will stay in the nicer hotels in Florence and pay the extra $20 per night. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone visiting our plant from out of town. read more

Pretty good for a 1 night stay back from Disney heading home. Room was nice nothing special. I liked the bed it was soft and comfy. Breakfast needs to be improved somewhat. Offer more fruit selections everything to sweet. Make oatmeal instead of the client having to make it in the microwave. read more

Stayed here one night on way to Myrtle beach. Could not sleep because of uncontrollable child(ren) in the room above us. Tried to get hotel staff to help but no one available at night. It went on all night and into the morning. Finally got someone on the phone from the hotel who advised that "they have a young child" . Regardless, it went on and on and on even until we checked out the next morning. I realize the hotel cannot control their guests but at least make an effort. I should not have to listen to a track meet all night long. read more

We where traveling back from Florida and found this area to be a good stopping place. We found this Best Western on Orbitz with a good rate. The general manager Roy was very pleasant and helpful, the rooms are comfortable with soft and offered a much needed night of rest. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family passing through. read more

Stayed here when my car broke down on the way to the beach. My father came to change the alternator in my car; they allowed us to do so in their parking lot which was very nice. We didn't get in the indoor pool due to the fact that you could barely breathe because the chemical smell was so bad. Once we got upstairs, we showered and laid down. Ten minutes later my boyfriend felt something burning on his feet, upon further inspection there were BEDBUGS! Tons of tiny bed bugs; the size a pen would make if you dot an i. He scrubbed and use alcohol, acetone, soap, everything! It took me over and hour and a half to SCRAPE all of the bed bugs off of him one by one. Luckily no one else got them. I immediately took all our stuff into the hall. My father went and told the front desk and she said she could take us to a new room, on a different floor, on the opposite end of the hotel. The fact that is was 230am, we moved rooms. I inspected this room and it was fine. The lady at the desk got me everything I asked for to handle the situation like trash bags to seal our bags in case there were bedbugs inside. The next morning I saw the house keeping lady in the old room looking around and talking about the fact that there were no bedbugs in there, so I am assuming they did absolutely nothing about them. Never would I ever return. Always check every single layer of the bed and mattresses closely! read more

The next lady on helped with locating a rental and let the teenagers I was traveling with sleep in and extended our check out time. The room was clean and quiet. I stayed at this property from Mar 31 - April 3, 2016 room 307. I have a couple of issues with my recent stay. The first is the rate charge I know that the rates change but i did my reservation with the government rate and Friday and Saturday night rates should have stayed the same for $94.99. I was charged $129.99 for Saturday night. The other issue is I called the hotel directly on Saturday April 2 to make my brother a reservation. The clerk took down all his information along with payment and said he would be in a non-smoking room with two double beds. I said okay please email me the confirmation so he can have it when checking in. I never received the confirmation but I told him it was okay you have a reservation. We arrived at the hotel and the clerk at the front desk a feminine heavy-set white male was rude and unprofessional. The first thing out of his mouth was we don't have any rooms I can recommend you to the Super 8 or Econo Lodge. I was taken back and said we have a reservation and i completed one today for my brother. I gave my brothers name and he said I don't see a reservation, I said call the clerk before you and find out what did she do because she took all the information with credit card. The clerk basically looked at us and dismissed us. I told him we wasn't leaving and I wanted to see a manager. The fact that he dismissed us and rude and not doing his job. I basically told him to cross reference the last four of credit card that was used for reservation. The reservation mysteriously popped up on the reservation screen. The clerk was way out of line. I have used this hotel on many occasions when doing business in SC. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone and let them know of how we were treated. I have already told many of my military friends to not use best western if this is how they treat their customers. If it wasn't for the customers the employees like the clerk would not have a job. I'm still outraged at the whole incident. On checkout I explained the situation to the clerk on duty. I just called the hotel to talk with the General Manager apparently he's off today. Something needs to be done about the unprofessionalism of the staff that work at these establishments. I also would like a credit back to our credit card for myself and my brother. His name is Willie Reed and his confirmation #3843 he was in room 222 with check-in on April 2. read more
