Here currently and having a lovely experience - chose it because of its close proximity and complimentary airport shuttle. Airport shuttle arrived promptly and staff here are quite friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and clean (always appreciate having fridge, microwave, coffee maker), bed was comfortable, plentiful outlets and large desk, wifi is fast, breakfast buffet had a nice variety including make your own waffles, eggs, bacon and potatoes, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, pastries, cereal, espresso maker, pool (no hot tub), laundry, included nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, quiet and safe - would recommend and would return! read more

Honestly one of the best stays I've had at a best western in the lower 48. I am from Alaska and I stayed here for 1 night with a friend for a concert in Vancouver. It's about an hour from BC Place. It's clean and quiet. The staff has been amazing got us on an early check in and a late check out which was very nice and unexpected. If I need to stay in Northern Washington again I'd definitely come back. Thank you! read more

An overnight stay while attending an event. My suite was cozy and clean. Hotel staff was pleasant at the check in. They offer me complimentary water which was perfect because it stopped me from having to leave to get some. The bed was comfortable and roomy. It felt good to spread out without my spouse. The morning breakfast was eggs, sausage, bacon, sausage links, waffle, biscuits and gravy. It gets busy down there with people hanging out around the food area. The hotel offers a gym and outside pool. Walking distance from a little coffee spot if your not into the pot made bland of things. For a Beat Western I was impressed. 3 1/2 Stars. read more

This Best Western Plus was renovated and newly reopened this year - I stayed back in June and had a great experience!! The staff were all awesome - so welcoming and friendly! They even had my name out on a sign welcoming me that made me feel so special haha! I believe they do that for their elite tier members (I was gold then but have since made Diamond :P LOL!) The entire hotel, from the lobby to the breakfast area to the room was spotlessly clean and all seemed brand new - even the pool! I had a king room - nice view of the pool and mountains. Just a standard hotel room - nothing crazy - but nice and clean and plenty of space to move around. And plenty of counter space in the bathroom which I loved! My room had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker - everything I needed! Bed was comfy - even had a couch and seating area!! They give you a nice hot breakfast - waffles, eggs and meats along with all the usual cold offerings. Plenty of hot, yummy coffee and lovely staff attending the breakfast area eager to help! There's tons of parking and it's very nicely located for exploring the beautiful Bellingham area. They also offer an airport shuttle which is convenient! Oh fyi their pool is seasonal from March to October! Would happily stay here again! read more

This BW is a cut above the rest. In room 116, besides being clean and comfortable, all the half dozen lights worked, and there was a comfortable sofa, chair and movable desk with office chair. There were plenty of plugs for charging, a card with excellent directions on how to connect to Wi-Fi along with a 24/7 number to call for assistance and a very simple remote that worked perfectly with the smart TV. The coffee maker, microwave and fridge were easily accessible without being hidden behind doors. There were full containers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the large shower which had a sturdy sliding glass door instead of a curtain. We were so happy with these attentions to details. The compact, well managed and well-appointed breakfast room featured eggs, omelettes, meat, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fresh fruit, cereals, waffles and beverages for a very complete American breakfast. There was an open swimming pool, a business room with two working computers and a nice workout room. All of this for a very competitive price. We will continue to choose this property over Hotel Bellwether. read more

We reserved two queen beds two weeks ago for a reason, checked in online the day before. They ask when you'll be arriving and where you're coming from. I said after 8:30 pm and the central Oregon coast (275 miles). We arrived at 9:30 going through Portland and Seattle rush hours and road construction. When we arrived they said since we "were late they didn't have the two queens and UPGRADED us to a king." Their job is not to assume the 2 occupancy sleep together, in fact when 2 people in a room request two beds they should assume they don't want to! The king bed taco'd in the middle and the pillows were hard and lumpy. I didn't sleep a wink. My husband has jumpy legs and I wear a cpap and sound like Darth Vader. To top it off when we mentioned it, the young woman was nonchalant and rude. We have been diamond select members for about 20 years (meaning we stay a lot all over) and this was horrible. They had multiple busses of basketball teams arriving when we arrived and I'm sure they gave out the two queens to them to accommodate the team. read more

Just got back from a week at the Best Western Plus in Bellingham WA. We booked this hotel for its proximity to our family in that area. The hotel advertised "Microwave and Refrigerator in the room" and "free hot breakfast". The room actually was quite large with a microwave and refrigerator plus a freezer unit above the refrigerator. The hot breakfast buffet was fabulous. There were eggs and potatoes and 3 or 4 types of breakfast meat, sausage links and patties and bacon but also some days ham pieces and chorizo. The waffle station had 3 types of fruit compote and whipped cream. There was oatmeal. The bread case had bagels, muffins and an assortment of breads. There were fresh fruits as well as sliced melons. They definitely under sold and over delivered! read more

I travel quite a bit and stay at a variety of hotels up and down the star rating. Generally, there aren't big differences between the hotels in the same chain, little differences but the basics are pretty similar. What makes the real difference for a traveler is often the staff. And at BW Plus Bellingham, they have a staff that is wonderful and makes you feel appreciated. The desk staff was very pleasant and helpful, proactively scheduled housekeeping when I checked in (it's on-demand at most hotels now) and it was such a pleasure to walk in and find the room made up on the day promised, on an especially exhausting day. The special treat was the sparkling woman who managed the breakfast service each day, Ruthie. She started every day with an ever-present, genuine smile and kind greetings for every guest. And she introduced me to their high tech, all-in-one coffee grinder and brewer, "Lulu" which made fantastic coffee each day. This was my first visit to Bellingham, it's a beautiful area with great people and my stay at the BW Plus here really "plussed" it all. We stayed in room 336 and were very impressed with the quality of our room. It was all very clean, fresh smelling throughout the hotel. We had a king sized bed with a pull out sleeper sofa. The bed has actual king sized pillows for a change. The bathroom was nice, a touch of luxury. Toiletries were provided including a shampoo, conditioner and body wash set smelling or oranges and and lotion smelling more lemony. Not oily at all on the skin. Conditioner was almost like the shampoo, not leaving any films on the hair. The only things were there were only 2 sets of towels and the shower curtain was like a thin cotton sheet, no liner. It worked but it was kind of strange. There is a microwave and a refrigerator and a pull out desk/table. The pull out couch was already made with fresh sheets, though no extra pillows in the closet. My kids brought their own so that wasn't an issue. The breakfast was provided, a nice variety. There's a huge coffee machine(with a touch screen on the front) in the lobby. read more

We moved to this hotel for our vacation after having a bad experience at another. We are so happy that we did. Our room is clean, quiet and super comfortable. The pool is working and open. Breakfast is open each morning until 10 am with workers to replenish items if they run low. The coffee machine works well and available all day. To be more environmentally friendly, they won't change the towels unless asked if you are staying multiple days, but that is standard these days. Next time we come to Bellingham, we would happily return to this hotel. read more

Best Westerns are great because you know to expect, a better than average experience compared to other hotel chains of its rating. This hotel is clean, friendly, and the bed/linens are comfortable. Our room has a bathtub but it has been disabled in the latest remodel. read more

Booked for 1 night on an excellent government rate. Front Desk staff incredibly welcoming, the hotel room was clean/sanitized. The fitness center perfect for a simple morning workout. The continental breakfast was plentiful, although I noticed that many of the items were out by 8AM with guests overloading Togo boxes. This is no fault to the staff, but an inconvenience to other guests! I saw a man fill his box to the brim and then fill his children's, with two additional visits to the breakfast bar and then more food on the go! Unbeknown to us, They don't clean your room without a request. You can get fresh towels and whatever, if you call for HELP at the front desk before noon. if not? you kick your dirty laundry out the door. The poor guy that comes to pick up your nasty stuff looks embarrassed. We were embarrassed too. Completely over priced. 250.00 a night. No made bed, no clean towels or wash cloths, Stay home STAY. We stayed 3 nights out if necessity. Relatives funeral. No third night free. We got robbed. I'm not blaming the staff. But avoid these situations if you can. Terrible policies and extremely over priced! I want a refund. It was stinky and dirty-ish. Ew read more

We get to our room. Crap on the floor. Obviously not vacuumed. Go to switch rooms and we get down graded to a 2 bed small room vs. the King Suite I paid for. Jerk at the desk had no other kings but also claimed he upgraded us for free. He starts complaining that he was being nice as an upgrade. No, ya don't go from a suite to a 2 bed room and call it a free upgrade. read more
