This property was clean and welcoming. The Best Western app club make it so easy to reserve stays while on a roadtrip. You can add directions so you are never lost. The front staff was very helpful when we needed to find a place to eat late. They extended our time so we could rest just a little more. We will gladly return to this property. read more

Overall: A great hotel option with plenty of shops within walking distance. Parking: Plenty of parking close to the front door! I checked in at 4 pm and was able to park basically next to the main entrance. Location: Lots of restaurants within a reasonable distance and Burger King in under a minute walk from the front door! Lobby/Service: The lobby was very welcoming and the the team was able to help me out quickly. Their check in time is at 4 pm with checkout at 11 am. Something that I really like was their personal touch by leaving a welcome note in my room. Rooms: It's spacious and very comfortable. There are plenty of USB outlets in the room. The bathroom was a bit small, as you open the door it barely misses the toilet. read more

It is a Best Western in the tinny tiny town of Redmond, that is and of it self explains a bit. We had a wedding in Terrebonne and a bunch of dinners in bed, so decided on the Redmond. If I have it to do over again I would have just stayed in Bend. That being said, this a a classic motel/ hotel. It was relatively clean. The carpet in our room and in the hallways was stained. The bathroom and sheets were very cleaned and that is really what I care about. It had a inside pool that was over chlorinated but the kids had fun for an hour. It was fine! read more

Staying at this hotel brought back memories of staying in hotels in downtown Las Vegas. The dark wooden accents in cheap veneer, dated... well, everything. The only things really going for this place is that it's close to the airport (I service RDM so that's a must) and the free hot breakfast. You can see my pics for an idea of how tired and old this place looks. I think the vibe resonates down to the staff because no one had any interest in checking me in when I shuffled into the lobby close to 11 PM thanks to the late flight being late. No greeting, no eye contact. In fact, I think she walked to the front desk by accident because she hesitated before verifying that I was checking in. I just let it go and walked to my room. Strengthening the illusion of traveling back in time are the vending machines you pass to get to room 115. They are dollar and coin op only. Drink and snack machines were fully stocked and I'm sure that's because people don't carry quarters around anymore. (Prices were $1.25 etc.) On the plus side, they did have a drinking fountain with a spigot for your water bottle to save you the pain of knowing you have no quarters for the vending machine. Lesson when traveling in late to small towns in central Oregon, BRING SNACKS. Once you step into the tiny bathroom, it's a dance to get around the door so you can step into the tub shower. Water pressure and heat are great. Someone is going to get stuck on the clothesline that they leave strung up and hidden behind the shower curtain though. That's gonna be funnneeeeee... What else? Oh, the bed is surprisingly comfortable which is a nice changeout from the much more modernized Holiday Inn Express in Portland. And they do offer a free breakfast starting at 6:30 AM. It's the same stuff you'll see at Hampton Inns around the country. Pre-fab mini omelettes, made from a mix scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and sausage. Or you can grab breads, muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. I planned ahead and had some of the eggs with tasty bread I brought from home. Unfortunately my room microwave had no power so I ate everything cold. :/ Wifi performance was mediocre but at least it worked. Parking is free as well and they even leave out a community scraper in case your car is encased in ice when you head out to commute. Aaaand the room was nice and quiet so it was not an issue sleeping. Not sure if that's cuz I lucked out or because the hotel was empty... As far as I'm concerned there are plenty of options near RDM until the Hampton Inn opens in March 2023 so I'll be sleeping around in a manner of speaking. :/ read more

Very solid well run hotel. Room: We book a Jr Suite for just a little extra and it was nice to have a separated desk and couch area from the two queen beds. That way if someone wanted to sleep while someone else was watching TV or on a computer it didn't bother the sleeping person. Beds: Actually very comfy! The pillows are all thick, no flat ones, and the bed was very comfortable. Cleanliness: This is a slightly older styled hotel but I was impressed with how clean everything was. Our room was spotless, it was very nice to see. Breakfast: Hot, cold and grab and go options. Something for everyone. The scrambled eggs were a little salty but everything else was good. Options included: eggs, sausage, an automated make your own pancake and waffle machines, Chobani yogurt, silk yogurt, 2% milk, silk almond milk, a orange juice, apple juice, and cranberry juice machine, canned fruit cocktail (no fresh fruit I could find), cereal (special K w/ strawberries, Raisin Bran, fruit loops ) blueberry muffin, eclair, plain bagels, raisin bread, white and wheat bread, other pastries, coffee and tea Staff: All great, professional and friendly Also has a nice indoor pool, hot tub and gym read more

The person working the front desk is everything a tired traveler wants from a hotel receptionist. We had booked online and while the front desk was preparing our keys the conversation turned to the availability of a two room suite. A quick search showed that there was a two room suite available and the price was reasonable. I asked if we could look at and we given a set of keys. It took us just a few minute to decide that we wanted the two room suite. Back at the front desk it took several minutes to change the reservation but we soon had our suite for the night. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet in spite of the fact that the big rig parking lot was on our side of the building. Breakfast was a Grab-and-Go Bag. The only negative was that some of the breakfasts required a microwave to warm them up; however, bagel and cream cheese is the perfect Grab-and-Go Breakfast. Five stars for the customer service. Best Western Plus Rama Inn will most likely be our go to hotel in Redmond OR. read more

I would give this a zero if I could. When I walked into this hotel it immediately smelt like fish. It was disgusting and I felt like I was about to throw up. The pool was disgusting and the water that was supposed to be cool was a weird warm. Next to the hot tub there was a weird brown goo that I stepped in by accident. The hot tub had weird black thing floating in it. The room smelt fine thankfully but there was lots of hairs everywhere on the bed. The walls were dirty, furniture is outdated, and the tv doesn't have HD which makes it look pixelated. In the bathroom, the curtain was gross and had brown stains. The bathtub had gross gunk in it. Also there is gunk around the drain and the bathroom handle was partly broken. The breakfast was also nothing to write home about. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

This is a pretty nice place and the location works out nicely as well. They tend to be a bit overpriced (like everyone else in town) in the summer but the winter rates seem a bit better. I'm not sure what the difference is between a Plus and a regular Best Western but this has everything you need. They have a pool, hot tub, exercise room, laundry, and the breakfast which has many choices. The gal that works in that area is always quick to replace items prior to them going empty. A few other staff in other hotels could take a lesson from her. She's there pretty much every weekend/holiday I happen to frequent this hotel. Note: Leave her a tip in the tip jar it will be appreciated. The beds were comfortable (much better than the Prineville Best Western-maybe that's the plus??). Super convenient to walk to movies, restaurants, and Bi-Mart for whatever you forgot. We took advantage of all of these as there was close to a foot of snow on this last visit. During covid-19 era, we're happy the hotel was so least open! Clean, modern and comfortable rooms. Flat screen TV with Food Network! Swimming pool was open but you have to reserve it on 30 minute increments. The photo was from a "breakfast bag". I call it the breakfast of sadness since their buffet was closed due to covid-19. Went here after a MAJOR failure at my usual place in Redmond and glad I wound up here. Lady at the front desk was very professional, friendly and efficient and looked up the info where I work (we have a direct bill account) and within less than three minutes was on my way with room card in hand. Room was very clean and had all the usual amenities as well as the typical morning breakfast. When going to Redmond, this will be my new place. I am a Hilton and Marriott brands loyalist. Many BW's that I have stayed in are hit and miss. This Rama Inn Redmond, OR did not disappoint! Clean lobby, interesting metal sculpture art throughout the first floor. Spacious room and the beds weren't worn out. I stayed here because it's closer to the job site. If you're spoiled by the Hilton line or Marriott, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the friendly professional staff, the up to dat decor and the rooms. Good job hotel owners! read more

I give this place 4 stars because this is Redmond we are talking about and my expectations were affordability, comfort for my family (Me, Wife, Kids 12, 8, 4). I was not looking for a Westin or a Hilton here. We stayed in a family suite which is basically an over-sized room with 2 queens and a wall separating the living area. I am not sure of the age of the hotel but the room was clean and functional, a little narrow and could use some more lighting but worked okay for us. The beds were better than average for a Best Westerns and I have stayed in Westins and Hiltons with worse beds for twice the price. The rooms had two nice flat screen TV's and a nice desk and work area. It also had a fridge, microwave, and little sink in that area. Complaints about the rooms would be that the restrooms were small and my wife and I could not get ready at the same time. The room could also use a little more lighting. The staff was great. Check in was easy and quick. They were helpful when we needed coffee, extra towels, etc. Breakfast room staff was very nice as well and the waffles were good in my opinion. Nothing special but a decent free breakfast. The kids had a great time at the large clean pool and I enjoyed the hot tub which was nice and HOT and great for relaxing. The wi-fi throughout the hotel was excellent as well, even in the pool area. Would stay here again if overnighting in Redmond. Not sure about the other hotels but this place was a great value and we enjoyed ourselves and the staff was very good. read more

Totally fine. Pros: Clean(ish) rooms Suprisingly modern furnishings, including big leather headboards that are nice to lean on when watching TV or reading before bed. Nice big TV, nice pool, free breakfast. Cons: Still use those 1980's style blankets that don't look or feel washed between the bedsheet and duvet. Assuming you are a very delicate sleeper, this is not an issue. If you move around in your sleep, chances are you're getting more contact with that carefully hidden gross old blanket than you'd like. Not for germ-o-phobes. I can convince myself it's fine and only looks dirty and they do somehow wash this. I keep telling myself that, anyway. The nice big TV doesn't get a single HD channel, out of like 250. Not a big deal, but on the big TV, the pixels look chunkier and more sad. The breakfast room is fine. The selection of cereal is underwhelming compared to similar places like a Super 8. Three selections: generic corn flakes ready to get instantly soggy, generic raisin bran that tastes like it's from a bulk container ship that just pulled in from the Bermuda triangle from the 1980's, and Fruit Loops. I went with the Fruit Loops, and my teeth did not thank me - although my kid-again taste buds enjoyed it. No outlets near the bed. If you move things around, you should be able to charge your phone. Interestingly, they put one of those more moden lamps that has an electrical outlet on the table far from the bed, where no-one wants to charge their phone. At least it's an option - and having your phone on the other end of the room forces you to get up if you set an alarm! read more

I live on the road 180 nights a year, here's my take on this place: booked 3 rooms for 4 nights over the phone. arrived late at night to only one room booked for one night. Receptionist was unapologetic, and cold. 2 of us had to drive 30miles for any room. Later that week, similar scenario but they had availability but they swapped the existing room to another person. they said they would honor the price on the new booking. at the end of the week they charged $40 more per night (more than was listed online the whole week). I wrote them and explained the many problems throughout the week including being charged the Unagreed price, I haven't heard back. will not stay here again nor will any in my crew. room was adequate with no problems that's why I give it two stars. This location is lower end of the spectrum for a BW property. read more

This Best Western turned us away and claimed that the rooms that we ALREADY BOOKED were not clean and they had rooms available in Bend over 20 miles away. Sometimes you just get lucky and find a gem, that is this great western. We got here early, no problem, our room was ready. Pool was great and quite warm and clean with lots of towels. The whole hotel is very clean, even the parking lot was clean. Lots of items for breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One time we were hunting for our key to get into the pool as the maid was walking by. She hurried up and opened the door with her key. The manager gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. The hotel is okay, by no means great and I'm pretty sure this will be our only stay at this hotel. We were dismayed at check-in to be told that the pool was closed for the duration of our stay - one of the primary reasons we booked this hotel. The receptionist kindly offered to cancel our booking for us if we weren't happy, but we weren't about to go hunting around Redmond on a busy Saturday night looking for another hotel. We were further informed on checking in that maintenance crews would need access to our room the next day (we were staying 2 nights). I asked whether we could have a room that didn't need maintenance or whether the maintenance could be done after our stay and we were informed that neither was possible. I asked that at the very least someone from the hotel be present while the unknown third party (we were told that they were outside contractors) worked in our room. I also had a couple of questions about the locality, but the receptionist, although nice, was completely unprepared with any knowledge of the local area, which was disappointing. I was left a little concerned about whether the room had been well cleaned prior to our visit - few yucky hairs in the bathroom and also there were items in the room left by a previous guest, so I was left with the impression that cleaning the room was not all that it should have been. Further, on our visit, we returned to the hotel around 6 pm and were a little dismayed to find that the room had not been serviced yet ... perhaps they were understaffed? - we put up our 'do not disturb' sign as we were going to relax with the children - I presume they would have come around at some point to provide room cleaning, but we were tired and didn't want to be disturbed at that time of night. Breakfast was okay, nothing awful, but not great either. Overall - an okay stay at best. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I had a reservation through another travel site and they would not honor my reservation because I live in Central Oregon. The pretense was that the rule was COVID related. Although after further probing the assistant manager noted that the reason they weren't taking local people was because they didn't want people doing drugs in the room or being sick. As a nurse I was unclear how the owner of Best Western knew that out of town people were less sick than local people. I then asked if the owner of the hotel could send me an email regarding this rule and regulation. The manager then said that they owner would not even take the time on the weekend nor would he take the time on Monday to email me about this. I reached out to the online portal that I booked with they would not offer me a refund I told the hotel this and they would not offer me a refund either. Nothing is posted on either website saying that you are not allowed to stay there if you live in Central Oregon anywhere. read more

Made reservations the day before. We arrived to find that the room was $232. Told the person at the desk that we were not told that amount, but did not have the reservation sheet with us. Asked if they had anything cheaper and she told me no. She said she can do nothing about the price. We went to our room, changed into swimsuits and went swimming for one half hour. Since the lady at the desk had to check our &25 & $50 promotions we brought and claimed that would take a long time, I went back about 45 minutes later. I waited for her to help someone and heard her quote him for a room like ours for $60 less. When it was my turn, I asked her why he was quoted so much cheaper. She appeared flustered, She went to two different computers and finally changed our price. The next morning I talked to the general manager who made no apologies, and gave me my bill. I feel that they were both caught gouging, but could care less. The other complaint I have is we are diamond reward holders of Best Western, and we never had such a small room as this one, or treated like this. Pathetic! I can give this place only one star because other than these two people, the rest of the staff was friendly. read more

Room was average, nothing special but nothing bad. The staff were very friendly the night staff and morning staff, something that always makes me smile. Gym was open for 24 hours which is nice; not surprisingly, it didn't have much, but still enough for me to do my workout. Nice breakfast that's complimentary, and complementary wifi. Clean, but air conditioner in the room barely cools the room on lowest setting. Couldn't sleep last night, just not cool enough. Breakfast barely warm and fewer choices than other brand hotels. Great place to stay! We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. The room was clean, nice flat screen TV, refrig, updated furniture and tasteful. Bathroom was spotless and plenty large enough for me and my husband. Staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was a highlight with eggs, sausage and bacon, biscuits, waffles, fresh breads, yogurt and more. Very tasty and really nice to have 2 meats to choose from. We only stayed one night so we didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub but looked clean and functional. The hotel is located right on Highway 97, but there was no road noise! This is particularly important as my husband is a light sleeper. We will definitely stay here again. read more

This hotel has no ADA handicap rooms by code. Toilet seats are all 15-16 inches bathroom floors flood, sinks are installed sideways. I've contacted the building department in Redmond also corporate headquarters in Phoenix. read more

Stayed for a week. The staff was super friendly, taking the time to give me directions, and always ready with a smile and greeting. The hotel was clean and surprisingly quiet. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the poor quality of exercise equipment. The weight machine didn't work right and the stationary bicycle seems to be falling apart.
