It's taped to the work desk as though I'd want to steal this

Staying at this hotel brought back memories of staying in hotels in downtown Las Vegas. The dark wooden accents in cheap veneer, dated... well, everything. The only things really going for this place is that it's close to the airport (I service RDM so that's a must) and the free hot breakfast. You can see my pics for an idea of how tired and old this place looks. I think the vibe resonates down to the staff because no one had any interest in checking me in when I shuffled into the lobby close to 11 PM thanks to the late flight being late. No greeting, no eye contact. In fact, I think she walked to the front desk by accident because she hesitated before verifying that I was checking in. I just let it go and walked to my room. Strengthening the illusion of traveling back in time are the vending machines you pass to get to room 115. They are dollar and coin op only. Drink and snack machines were fully stocked and I'm sure that's because people don't carry quarters around anymore. (Prices were $1.25 etc.) On the plus side, they did have a drinking fountain with a spigot for your water bottle to save you the pain of knowing you have no quarters for the vending machine. Lesson when traveling in late to small towns in central Oregon, BRING SNACKS. Once you step into the tiny bathroom, it's a dance to get around the door so you can step into the tub shower. Water pressure and heat are great. Someone is going to get stuck on the clothesline that they leave strung up and hidden behind the shower curtain though. That's gonna be funnneeeeee... What else? Oh, the bed is surprisingly comfortable which is a nice changeout from the much more modernized Holiday Inn Express in Portland. And they do offer a free breakfast starting at 6:30 AM. It's the same stuff you'll see at Hampton Inns around the country. Pre-fab mini omelettes, made from a mix scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and sausage. Or you can grab breads, muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. I planned ahead and had some of the eggs with tasty bread I brought from home. Unfortunately my room microwave had no power so I ate everything cold. :/ Wifi performance was mediocre but at least it worked. Parking is free as well and they even leave out a community scraper in case your car is encased in ice when you head out to commute. Aaaand the room was nice and quiet so it was not an issue sleeping. Not sure if that's cuz I lucked out or because the hotel was empty... As far as I'm concerned there are plenty of options near RDM until the Hampton Inn opens in March 2023 so I'll be sleeping around in a manner of speaking. :/

I would give this a zero if I could. When I walked into this hotel it immediately smelt like fish. It was disgusting and I felt like I was about to throw up. The pool was disgusting and the water that was supposed to be cool was a weird warm. Next to the hot tub there was a weird brown goo that I stepped in by accident. The hot tub had weird black thing floating in it. The room smelt fine thankfully but there was lots of hairs everywhere on the bed. The walls were dirty, furniture is outdated, and the tv doesn't have HD which makes it look pixelated. In the bathroom, the curtain was gross and had brown stains. The bathtub had gross gunk in it. Also there is gunk around the drain and the bathroom handle was partly broken. The breakfast was also nothing to write home about. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

During covid-19 era, we're happy the hotel was so least open! Clean, modern and comfortable rooms. Flat screen TV with Food Network! Swimming pool was open but you have to reserve it on 30 minute increments. The photo was from a "breakfast bag". I call it the breakfast of sadness since their buffet was closed due to covid-19. Really nice staff and was helpful.

    Very clean bathroom.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was clean, pool is warm and the hot tub was perfect. When a group of obnoxious teens came in diving, and doing canon balls in the pool, we left. It's too small and quiet of a hotel to have all that going on. They have a breakfast too.

This is a really great place to stay. It costs a little more than the average in Redmond, but it's worth it. I would stay here again.

I go to RDM to work on a regular basis and this is the hotel I try to book. The Best Western that I stayed in on one of my first visits was unspeakable. This HI lets me request and use my digital key without a front desk visit first which is great when I don't get there until late after work. In other respects it's what you expect from this Hilton brand. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. You get plenty of room to repack and there's a little fridge to keep your drinks and leftovers. An oven as well if you need it. Prices rise with the temperatures in the summer so book it early if you know you're going or you'll get stuck with the Comfort Inn where the patronage is on the sketchy side.

No help from desk, nothing is availble, not even a shower chair. We left, and drove four more hours. To add insult the next day they added another charge to our card. Over $300. After a 20 minute call they said they would remove the charge for a double entry in 5 to 7 business days. The person claimed it was due to a new employee. I think it was poor training. But 5 to 7 business days is their policy, even it is their mistake. Seems to be a nice place, but be extra careful on your reservation, and look at your charges. It is quite expensive for a basic Hotel.

There was a rack…read moreto hang clothes on, ON the wall next to the bathroom door... but the rack was in the walk way of one side of the bed. I took that side, since I'm a munchkin: didn't have to worry about hitting my skull on it. There wasn't a coffee maker in the room which was really weird, slightly annoying. Having the option would have been nice but oh well, 6$ Starbucks it is! Our bathtub wouldn't drain. Well, it did, but it took FOREVER. Who knows how many people and how many years worth of hair was built up in that drain. Me and my man had to stand in a pool of our own soapy/dirty water mess. Grody. In the bathroom we got two little bars of soap, a lotion and a conditioner. No shampoo. Wtf? Luckily I hoard hotel shampoos and conditioners, so I already had some. The A/C was the jankiest thing I have ever seen. It looked like they sawed a hole through the wall that wasn't really the right size for it... and it was apparent. It was also SO LOUD. The curtains wouldn't open how I wanted them to open, and I wanted to open the window to get some fresh air but it took both of us to scoot it open it was so stuck. Was an OK deal, I guess... we both slept alright. So did the dog, lol. More comfortable than the last motel I stayed in, for sure.

We returned to Eagle Crest on an Interval International exchange using our Kona Coast Resort unit…read more Eagle Crest is a large project and it's a little confusing about which projects are managed by what company, so I am specifically reviewing the Worldmark Resort property and should not be applied to any other hotels or resorts at Eagle Crest. We have stayed at several Worldmark properties in the past, and this is our definite favorite. First off we were able to fly directly into Redmond from SFO, avoiding a two drive from Portland as that's how we came last time. The airport is small but that's a plus as far as we were concerned, and our Costco rental car from Budget was fine. Our check in was easy and Kiyah was a great rep for Worldmark. We got a text from her a few minutes after we were in the unit asking how things were, and that was a nice touch. The 2 bedroom 2 bath unit was perfect. We own two vacation rentals and live in Kona and are appreciative of a job well done. Everything was immaculate, and it seemed like it had been recently updated. I had called the week before, asking for a unit on the Deschutes river side, and we happily had an end unit with a great view. The gal I spoke with was friendly and let me know that checkin had moved so I had a google map address which made it easy to find. The kitchen had everything one could ask for and more. The dishwasher was the only appliance that needs retirement lol. The bedroom with attached bath and a work desk was excellent. It was relaxing to take a long hot bath in a huge tub after a long flight. We used the Weber grill on the patio three times during the week we were there. The Sisters meat market in Redmond is well worth a visit. One word of warning for people that have problems with stairs: this is a multi floor unit. You enter at one level and go down a flight of stairs to the living room and kitchen and one bedroom with two twins. From the entry you go up a flight to the main bedroom with huge bath/shower and king bed. So there are lots of stairs if you are going up and down from the living room (which is so cozy with the gas fireplace) up to the main bedroom. I'd find someplace else that had less stairs if that's a criteria. I'm typing this as I use the fast 500 mbps (ookala speedtest) internet and we are streaming from our ipad all of our regular addictions. My one complaint, and it is a major one, is the horrible cheap mattresses. There were far too firm, and terrible for both of our backs, resulting in back and neck aches. Perhaps they'd sourced them from a cheap manufacturer, but saving money on mattresses is foolish especially these days when you are judged on how comfortable a nights sleep is. We managed to survive by taking the comforters from the twins and placing them across the king mattress where our hips and shoulders were aching and then got a couple more blankets from housekeeping. It helped, but not enough. We fortunately were staying in an airbnb the following week with a fantastic mattress and the contrast was stunning. I complained about this on our last visit, hopefully with the management change that happened in the summer they will allocate funds to refresh a crucial part of the guest experience, a restful nights sleep. Again, this is a Worldmark exchange and should not be confused with any other property at Eagle Crest. Interval International exchanges have different rules and costs and things like internet access are included. Your experience without being an II member or Worldmark owner may be very different. We exchanged a week in a beautiful timeshare in Kona to stay here and were quite happy. For us, this is one of our favorites and we will definitely be back. Mahalo.
