We needed a hotel late at night and were expecting to be stuck with what we could get. This place was a pleasant surprise. An old style hotel with doors that open to the outside, it has been completely redone and everything is clean and fresh. By far the best hotel we have stayed in with all our travels. The rooms were very clean by my standards and it takes a lot to impress me with rooms as I am very particular. I check every corner low and high, against every seam floor to ceiling, window sills, ac screens, hair dryer screen, microwave, refridge, blankets, pillows, sheets you catch my drift, but everything was spot on clean. Kudos to the cleaning staff. The check in young lady was so nice, sweet and courteous, you couldn't help but like her, and the young lady who checked us out was just as sweet, nice and friendly too. Now let's talk about the breakfast. Can we say quite the spread? Why yes we can!!!! There was definitely something for everyone. Breakfast definitely was the feast as you'll see by the pictures. This hotel is pretty solid. The room was clean & was just what we needed for our 1 night stay. I was awoken by our neighbors deciding to have a 5am jam fest of "Sound of Silence" & then a loud love-making session for over an hour. So, the walls are thin. Keep that in mind while you're calling out God's name. You can also hear the road noise. At least from the room we were in (203). The beds were okay enough. The pillows are much too "fat" for my liking & I ended up using my folded hoodie as a make shift pillow. I have to say, the breakfast was most impressive. They take good care to stock it with plenty of options. It's your basic hotel breakfast fare, BUT, there are tons of additional toppings & condiments, cut fruit, many cereal choices, cashew milk, soy milk, V8, and more. Organic items & non-gmo. What a great Choice for our family reunion in the area! We had a Cousins Ancestry Reunion in the area and we pondered on whether to stay at the more expensive Hampton Inn or this Best Western. We chose BW and what a good decision we made. Everything was perfect and better that we expected. The entire place was clean and the breakfast area was the best I have experienced for this type of hotel. They had great selections of hot and cold breakfast choices. The rooms were clean, the beds had good mattresses, with clean bed linens and bed spread. The bathroom and vanities were like new and very clean. Nice furniture and flat screen TV. And by the way, Ginia the very hospital manager offered treats for us to take on our daily outings. The Desk clerk Tim was very accommodating to our group and kept a close eye on the breakfast area for any needed food replenishments and clean up. Nice place, clean, very friendly and responsive staff..... ....to a point. The tub did not seal. Had to keep water running full tilt for the whole bath. Ran the hot water for over 40 minutes to keep enough water in the tub. There wasn't any soap so we used shampoo for the time we were there. We did mention the tub plug not working and the lack of soap. But we didn't have maid service since we were there for 3 days and didn't need that service. Using shampoo was fine with us so that wasn't a huge issue. read more

I stayed here on a road trip, when traveling with a couple of little kids. The hotel is basic but has what you need: it's clean and comfortable. We were there in the winter, so didn't experience the outdoor pool. Why five stars? Because of the surprisingly excellent free breakfast buffet! It's got all of your hotel breakfast basics - waffle machine, cereals, eggs, yogurt, breads/pastries. But what makes it special is the fact that it's friendly to all sorts of dietary restrictions; there are lots of vegan and gluten free options clearly marked. There's tumeric for making golden lattes, and about a half dozen different kinds of non-dairy milk. Almost all of the cereals are organic (as are the blueberries on the fruit bar!) Seriously, I've never encountered a motel breakfast like this even in California, and it was a delightful surprise to find this in a small town in Kentucky. had car trouble so stayed over nite.. We arrived at BW and i MUST say it was very clean and nice no trash in the parking lot, parking lot was well lighted,the check in place a sparkling clean.. The counter workers are very nice and welcoming. He helped find places I needed. I had no stuff because like I said we broke down. Got up the next morning for there breakfast and coffee THEY HAD EVERYTHING U COULD IMAGINE.. i had a burrito and starbucks pumpkin spice latte... The 2 room suite was huge and easily fit 5 of us. The front desk clerk when we checked in was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was nice and clean. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. My only complaint was our bathroom really needed a deep clean and some new lights. The hotel looks to be old but you can tell they really trying to update it. And for the price you couldn't beat the space. Be aware that there policy is if you pay cash you also need $100 deposit when you check in. read more

Traveling from VA to Colorado we stopped here for the night. We called to reserve the room, speaking to Kristin, who was very helpful. We stopped around 12:30 and everything was ready for us!! The room was very clean and comfortable! The next morning we went down to a wonderful buffet breakfast! There was a great selection of food! From cereal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, French toast, English muffins, pancakes, to fresh fruit and granola bars! Then as we were walking out Kristin asked if we would like to take a brown bag of complementary snacks. There was granola bars, fresh apples, bananas and bottled water!! Talk about service!! The staff went out of their way to make sue I was comfortable, indlucing a call from the front desk asking if I was satisfied with the room. Yes. Breakfast was the most comprehensive array of breakfast foods that I have ever seen indluding gluten free cerial, almond milk, lots of nice juices, and some pre-fab standards such as french toast, sausage-gravy-biscuit, scrambled eggs, HB eggs. This is one of those court style buildings where every room has an outside door. The management did a total refurb, renewing EVERY SURFACE in the place. I will return. ;-) read more

I was shocked by the quality of this motel for the value. Room was clean and attractive, the bed was comfortable, the water pressure was decent, the outdoor pool was clean, the TV had Disney for the kids, and THE BREAKFAST. Y'all. It was a healthy breakfast bar. I'm in here now and this is what's available: 6 kinds of yogurt, Danimal yogurt smoothies, cottage cheese, 3 kinds of oatmeal, an oatmeal/French toast/eggs toppings bar, eggs (real eggs, not egg beaters), bacon, sausage, grits, sausage gravy, French toast, bananas, oranges, fruit salad (watermelon and cantaloupe), toaster waffles, the normal pastry case offerings (muffins, bread, bagels, etc), hard boiled eggs, 10 kinds of cereal (Kashi and other organic brands). Plus 4 kinds of Honest Kids juice boxes, a juice dispenser, chocolate milk, almond milk, regular milk, and really good coffee. The customer service was great -- they called to see if we needed anything and to make sure the room was OK about an hour after we checked in. Only complaint: the AC was a little noisy and it kicked on intermittently so I vacillated between hot and cold all night. Would totally stay here again! read more
