Bookclub night
Kristin H.

Absolutely love it here. The staff is amazing and the place is cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The bookshelves are full and there are many, the art on the wall is fun and you feel like u are in a place that would be like in NYC and you arent. A nook where u can get away, relax and yet there are people talking and socializing and others reading. You can have a drink and sit, read, socialize, do a puzzle, and buy books! What more can u ask for!?!?!? The food is so good and they offer some amazing gluten free options. They are careful about the cooking for us gluten free peeps too. I cant say enough good things about it here. I will be back so much!!!!! Go here. Trust me u wont be. disappointed

The place is cozy and perfect for book club meetings. That's exactly what we went for and it did not disappoint! The food is very affordable and decent. The spinach and ricotta pastry along with the crepe cake taste ok but what stole the show was the corn dip. I wish it came with pita bread instead of the chips, but it was tasty nevertheless. You order at the bar and they bring the food to you. Service was quick enough although you are probably sitting there for a long time if you are really there for a book club discussion. They do their own book clubs that you can sign up for and have a huge collection of books you can peruse.

Our book club met here for our last get together and I loved it! Nice spacious room in the back for a larger group with comfy chairs and a couch! The place itself was quiet and just the type of vibe I was hoping for. You can order at the bar and they bring your food to you. There wasn't service at the tables though so I assume you have to go up if you want a refil and you empty your plates ima garage and put the dishes in a container when you leave. I tried the spinach dip and it was ok... I liked that it was served with bread and not tortillas but it could benefit from more cheese and something thicker like cream cheese. The staff was so nice and the place is clean and very relaxing. I wish I lived closer so I could frequent it often!

My husband and I visited for the first time a few weeks ago and were underwhelmed. It does not have a very cozy vibe which we were seeking. There is no fireplace and that would probably be a nice touch. It definitely felt like more bar than cozy atmosphere that you would want in a bookstore. I like the concept we both did, but it isn't the vibe we were hoping for. The desserts offered looked great and we are both gluten-free so we went with the gluten-free almond cake, which was extremely sweet - I was only able to finish half. The coffee is not good - and there are no espresso drinks offered. Not a lot of tea options either. I asked about the menu and where the flour is sourced and they were unable to answer. The canned mocktail was good but pricey. In fact it's a pretty pricey menu. I wouldn't seek this place out again but I wish them success.

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. My cousin and I picked this spot to trauma bond. First, I purchased 2 books. They have free ARCs, which were cool to see. I purchased a used book and a new book. My cousin and I sat at bar. She enjoyed her mimosas, that are offered in other flavors than then original one, ans I enjoyed 2 European wines. They offer mocktails, tea and coffee, and beer. I also ordered the sandwich on gf. It waa delicious. I love a good sandwich, and this place has it. It was served with chips They give you a punch card abd when you spend $100, you get $10 off. I'm almost there after one visit. Cant wait to go back.

BestCellar Book Bar is a truly magnificent gem - a locally owned bookstore and bar operated by a father-daughter duo in Clarence, New York. I love supporting small businesses, and when a bookstore is paired with a restaurant and bar, it's the best of both worlds! My mom had been eagerly awaiting the opening of BestCellar Book Bar, and when she heard I'd be visiting for the holidays, she knew we had to go. I'm so glad we did - this place is incredible! The cozy atmosphere, the carefully curated selection of bestseller books, and the reasonably priced food all make it a standout spot. They offer a variety of options, from breakfast and lunch to light bites, so there's something for everyone. As for drinks, they have beer, wine, and some cocktails. I enjoyed a comforting cup of hot coffee, but they also offer tea, soda, and even a non-alcoholic beer option (if memory serves me correctly). I really appreciated the inclusive NA offerings and hope to see mocktails added to the menu in the future. The food/coffee service was great and I picked up a cute book while I was there, too. Wishing BestCellar Book Bar many, many years of success - this is such a special spot, and I can't wait to return!

What a nice aetup. A book store and a bar together that also serves food. There's a private room in the back that can be reserved (free) for book club meeting. What a great idea, enjoy your book club in a comfy setting with a glass of wine (or beverage of your choice) and a meal or snack from their food menu. We'll be back soon to do exactly that! 2024-94

Great concept. A bookstore/wine and beer bar/restaurant. Great place for friends to gather, chat, have a beverage and a few appetizers. I saw someone enjoying pretzel balls and dip, looked yummy. I recommend any book clubs in the area to check this place out for hold their meetings..

Love the look of the place and the multiple seating options including tables and chairs, but also a bar, comfy couches and chairs, a back room for book discussions and window seating. The bar area looks great with a casual relaxed ambiance throughout. Perfect to take in a good book. Of course they sell new and used books and offer a variety of drinks and snacks. The food was rather so so but the place is new, so give it some time. Prices are very reasonable so stop by, pick up a new book or bring one of your own and enjoy with a glass of wine.

This is a very unique place with a one of a kind concept. They offer a variety of literature options to enjoy with eating or drinking. The place is immaculately clean. Very smooth layout. They have very nice options for food and drinks as well

Went here after a yoga class next door. Very neat concept. Love how clean and opened it was. Bar area, tables, couches and back room for groups. Very clean and new. We were given menus and they told us to order at the bar. We ordered the croissant breakfast sandwiches and a cinnamon roll. Everything was good, not amazing. I really liked how it seemed to be a place you could go and hang out like a coffee shop.

Eggplant Caprese 9/10 Very crispy eggplant breading. The eggplant itself was cooked good. There was also more eggplant than there was Mozz and tomato- so I would suggest adding another couple slices to balance out every bite. I'd add a touch more balsamic too. Bison sliders 8/10 Meat was good, the slider burgers were pretty thick and juicy. I would recommend since they were so think maybe cooking them a minute less for a more medium cook. I liked the goat cheese paired with the meat but you really couldn't taste it, i wish there was more. I'm not sure if it was the onion jam or the blueberry BBQ but something was a little spicy. Bbq pork belly tacos 7/10 The pork was cooked great, and the bbq was a good flavor. I liked the idea behind the double shell (one hard, one corn tortilla), but I think it would have worked better if it was a flour tortilla because both shells ended up breaking and I needed to use a fork to eat it. Between the hard shell and the sweet potato crisps, there was too much crunch for me. I did like the pairing of the pineapple with the BBQ sauce.

While reviewing the happy hours specials I noticed "bottled and draft beers: $5.95". Not the greatest deal but went with it. I then proceeded to order 2 Corona Extras. We enjoy ourselves, finish our drinks, and now it's bill time. After reviewing the bill we notice that my Coronas were charged at $8.95 each. We bring this up to the bartender and are told "that's only for domestics"; not anywhere on the menu is this stated (don't worry I double checked). We ask if this is an error in our favor to which the magic happens. We must have said the magic words to this dirty blond bartender because that's when the tantrum happens. She then proceeds to reach into her tip jar and throw a single dollar bill and four quarters in front of us (technically still owed us $4). I've never seen such blatant disrespect and utter lack of candor or customer service. There's 100s of different ways to handle that situation if she disagreed with our thought on the bill and her reaction was literally the worst one. I had all intentions of coming back because we thoroughly enjoyed our time until literally the last minute. Obviously, we will not be back and I will share this experience with anyone that asks me about this place Take my experience for what it is and be mindful of the service (or for the love of God don't try and call them out on their specials!). I called ahead and the lady who answered the phone was super nice, our waitress was really nice, another waitress I passed in the hall complimented my dress. Great service goes a long way with me and these ladies nailed it! The menu was a little limited and definitely lived up to its name: Linguines! I was hopeful for an arancini app but no such luck. It's ok though... I wasn't sure if there was complimentary bread so I did order the garlic bread ... well there is complimentary bread and butter, which was good, but no regrets on the garlic bread. It was good and my son really loved it! I don't normally order a garlic bread for this reason (comp bread plus garlic bread is too much bread) so it was a nice change of pace you could say! The drink situation was a little odd ... I only drink water for the most part ... sometimes a cocktail but I was with my son and didn't want to have a drink and they will give you soup with your entree ONLY IF you get a paid beverage. You can't have the soup with your entree if you only drink water. THEN we find out no refills on paid drinks. I am glad the waitress at least told us that, but it seems odd and kind of cheap of a restaurant to not give refills. Also weird to only give soup to those who don't drink water. I've never seen a restaurant do this. But the food was plenty so it's fine. My son did get a beverage that wasn't water, so he was able to get his soup. My son ordered the Alfredo and got the Italian wedding soup with it. I got the house made manicotti with meatballs. We enjoyed everything. I didn't love the meatballs but I am so picky about meatballs I wouldn't judge my review on that. If you're a texture person, they are firm meatballs. Me and my son both tried each others food and enjoyed. Our leftovers were gone a few hours later. Again, good service, and enjoyed the fresh air on the patio. Parking lot has no shortage of space and is easily handicap accessible with a ramp. You can sit indoor, outdoor, or at the bar. You can order takeout or delivery too.
