That was the best dinner I ever had a restaurant in a very very very long time. Oh my gosh!! You have to be in the "know" to ask for homemade pasta dishes of the day. I had homemade 3 cheese ravioli. Superb!! I also had a lemon cake with ricotta lemon filling. I could have licked the plate on both (in secret). If you are looking for a delicious but not too filling meal, go to Linguine's. Took my son here after we did our back-to-school shopping and it did not disappoint. First thing first, staff was wonderful. I called ahead and the lady who answered the phone was super nice, our waitress was really nice, another waitress I passed in the hall complimented my dress. Great service goes a long way with me and these ladies nailed it! The menu was a little limited and definitely lived up to its name: Linguines! I was hopeful for an arancini app but no such luck. It's ok though... I wasn't sure if there was complimentary bread so I did order the garlic bread ... well there is complimentary bread and butter, which was good, but no regrets on the garlic bread. It was good and my son really loved it! I don't normally order a garlic bread for this reason (comp bread plus garlic bread is too much bread) so it was a nice change of pace you could say! The drink situation was a little odd ... I only drink water for the most part ... sometimes a cocktail but I was with my son and didn't want to have a drink and they will give you soup with your entree ONLY IF you get a paid beverage. You can't have the soup with your entree if you only drink water. THEN we find out no refills on paid drinks. I am glad the waitress at least told us that, but it seems odd and kind of cheap of a restaurant to not give refills. Also weird to only give soup to those who don't drink water. I've never seen a restaurant do this. But the food was plenty so it's fine. My son did get a beverage that wasn't water, so he was able to get his soup. My son ordered the Alfredo and got the Italian wedding soup with it. I got the house made manicotti with meatballs. We enjoyed everything. I didn't love the meatballs but I am so picky about meatballs I wouldn't judge my review on that. If you're a texture person, they are firm meatballs. Me and my son both tried each others food and enjoyed. Our leftovers were gone a few hours later. Again, good service, and enjoyed the fresh air on the patio. The dining room is quite spacious and there is a large parking lot which can make for less stress when going out for a relaxing meal. The service is excellent with apps drinks and entrees served up quickly and efficiently. The menu is probably more limited than other restaurants with the focus truly being Italian food and linguine based dishes but the food was very good. We were in to celebrate a birthday and both the service and food were nice. The only drawback was that the restaurant does not take reservations and when we arrived at 6:00 the patio was full...normally this would not be a big issue but the inside of the restaurant was so uncomfortably hot. There appeared to be no air conditioning and zero fans in the dining room. I did see two large fans in the kitchen/staff area. As I was driving in this very cold and rainy day, I was looking for some great soup and a sandwich. I found it here at Linguines. Linguines Italian restaurant in Bowmansville, NY supplied a fantastic experience soon as I pulled up. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a cozy atmosphere. The soft music playing in the background set the perfect tone for a relaxing dining experience. I was fortunate enough to have Jennifer as my server, and she truly went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed. This is a very difficult review to write because the food was good, actually very good but my server, although very pleasant, was clueless and the PRICES WERE ASTRONOMICAL even by today's higher cost of eating out. Lunch for ONE PERSON: One draft beer $8, bread and butter, a small cup of soup (apparently included only if you order a beverage), ravioli with a small meatball and sausage $28, smallest cannoli I've ever seen $7. Plus tax and tip? $57 for one person for lunch!!! Clean and updated surroundings. Probably a great place to spend the corporate expense account but equally good food elsewhere for a much better value. Will I return? Highly unlikely. Should you give it a try? I've move to Dayton, OH 24 years ago and they don't have spaghetti parmigiana there, so when I come up to visit family that's one thing I go for. My daughter and her wife recommended Linguine's and 8 of us went! We all loved the food there. The soup was tomato artichoke was my husband loved! The meatballs were big! So today went to Linguines for an early dinner. Ask we walked in there were 3 people at the bar and 2 ladies at a table. A man left the bar area went into the back to get the hostess. A girl came to greet us and seat us at a table. At the same time the same man yelled across the restaurant to the people in the bar and said come back here. He was in the kitchen doorway I don't want to sit out there he said. As they walked in he said and I quote I don't give a fuck if people wait until they are blue in there face I'm not sitting out there. The poor girl looked horrified I asked her is that the owner and she said it was the owners son. I told my husband we are not eating here. And I thanked the girl and we got up and left. This was our first time going here and we loved it! My boyfriend and I came here around 230 and we had the whole place to ourselves! There is a lot of room for parking. Like any Italian restaurant I'm sure they get super busy around dinner time but we loved being the only people there at that time! Our waitress Ashley was great and super sweet! She provided us with such great service! The food was delicious including all of our appetizers and main dishes! I thought the meatballs would be better than they were but other than that the food was great! Inside was dim lighting and was a cozy feeling as well. My boyfriend ordered the manicotti parm style and it was crepe like shells rather than the normal manicotti shells and it was so delicious! He enjoyed it! I might have to order that next time! Yum! The food is excellent and chef understands how to make a layered, flavorful classic Italian dish. The atmosphere is less than optimal. It's cramped and austere, something between a NY deli and a Subway. I just feel conflicted about a $20 entree served on a table from a Bingo hall. Weird vibe, but authentic Italian in my stomach makes up for it. If they had a bar, I'd love this place. Update: it now does have a great little bar and the atmosphere is very good. I got chicken parm with no noodles, my dad got the veal parm, and my mother got the gnocchi. I'm not a fan of their meatball. They're flavorless to me. Their stuffed hot peppers were very good. I got the artichoke on my last visit. I wasn't overly impressed with it. Very oily. Very clean place, with friendly staff. All in all I would go back here. Despite that we were able to get a table for 4 right away albeit it was outside on the heated covered patio. Bring a jacket if you end up sitting next to the outside flap. Had dinner here last night. I was expecting a little more out of the new place. I always enjoyed the old place. The bar is nice, beer and wine only. The dining area needs something. Nothing on the walls, no rug, no curtains, it just wasn't comfortable and warm. Normally I wouldn't care but, the pricing is pretty high end. $18. Is ok for eggplant parmigiana but throw in a salad or soup. The portions were pretty small as well. The gnocchis and sausage was ridiculously small, maybe a 4 oz sausage for $22. All the food was good but the price point was too high. I didn't feel the experience matched the cost. They seem to be doing ok, however the attractive side room wasn't set and was just used to fold napkins and servers side work. In the mean time, people waited. read more

We spent $189.00 on take out food yesterday. When we got home we realized 1 item was wrong. After the Owner, Linda, screamed around the restaurant to blame the order taker, she then told me I could bring it back (apparently so SHE could throw it out) and pay the difference of the correct meal. She then added that I shouldn't have called back to order more food during "rush hour". When I asked her to repeat that (because I couldn't believe what I was hearing), she repeated it, screamed at me, and hung up on me. I have since heard other horror stories of the owner's incredibly rudeness. By the way, when we went to pick up the food, there was only customers at one table so apparently the rush hour was over. Most importantly, the food was very rough. Anyone stating their food is good does not know what Italian food is supposed to taste like. Never made it to the old location but decided to try the new one. Looks really nice and we were early enough to get seated promptly. Later there was quite a line to get in. I felt the menu was small and I wasn't that hungry so decided to get a sandwich which sounded good. Our server was friendly and did a good job but when I ordered she told me that even though it was on the menu you could only have it for lunch. I settled for the spaghetti and meatballs. It was a decent portion but was only ok. The meatballs were good but a bit spicy and the sauce barely had any flavor at all. I think it was overpriced as well. Not a horrible experience by any means but for less money I know of several restaurants that taste better and are better priced and include a salad. read more

We have been eating here for over 10 years. We love the food. We drive almost an hour to get it and it's worth it every time. The bolognese, fra diavalo and linguine and clams are delicious. The only reoccurring problem is the hostess, who I think is one of the owners. She is just rude and nasty every time. I am purposefully quiet and polite and she usually leaves me alone but she is always yelling at someone in line or abusing the staff in front of everyone. This place would be so much better if she just allowed someone else to work out front. We will continue to eat here because the food is so good but I just wonder how many customers they lose because of this lady. read more

I am a native of Buffalo that has been living in Florida for seven years. I was a frequent customer (3 or more times a week) of Linguine's when it was a smaller restaurant in a small plaza. I was so upset when they closed and then I heard they reopened again so on my visit home in July 2024, I had to go there. My sister took me there for my birthday at 1:30 pm in the afternoon and there was only one other table in there which I thought was so unusual. The place was much larger (ambiance was not like the old place) and did not have a welcoming feel. I had a glass of wine which I always ordered there and did not look at the wine list so when I saw the bill my sister got and saw it was $14.00, I was surprised. There was no lunch menu, so I assumed the menu we were given by a less than friendly server was the menu for the day and evening. I asked a question about the raviolis, how many do you get? The answer I got was "I do not know I never counted them". I could not believe how expensive the menu became, (especially for lunch) but then seeing no one in the place it made sense. I have been in the restaurant business for 30 years and I have to say "going bigger is not always better" I was so disappointed that such a great place to eat at one time (with great sauce) had changed so much...you cannot have a business with just Friday and Saturday business! Get a lunch menu, get professional servers and stop considering yourself fine dining and get realistic prices for the area. read more

My fiancé took me here for dinner on our second date 4 years ago. I don't remember much about that dinner other than that I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and it was good. I know, spaghetti is such a faux pas on a second date, but I'm not the typical lettuce eating gal, I like carbs! Last year, we decided to check it out again since I did not remember much from my first experience there. We went on a weeknight after work, it was relatively busy in there for a weeknight but not overly crowded. I'm guessing that it's a neighborhood favorite, being in the suburbs. We started with the bruschetta bread and moe also ordered the Italian wedding soup - I can't speak for the soup since I didn't have any, but my fiancé certainly enjoyed it. The bruschetta topping was fresh and flavorful, and had green olives which was a plus since we both like them. It's not listed in the description though so if you don't like green olives i would ask if they have a bruschetta mix without them. Another thing I didn't love about the bread was that it seems like they used sub rolls? Like the "torpedo rolls" that they use for their sandwiches. I could be wrong, but it was definitely not the typical Italian loaf bread I'm used to. For our entrees, I got the linguine fra diavolo with shrimp, scallops and hot peppers. I was disappointed to learn that they did not have fresh clams or mussels (their clam dishes use the clams out of a can), but they were able to accommodate and add calamari rings into the dish since I was looking for more variations of seafood. My fiancé ordered the gnocchi Romano with sausage and tomato Asiago cream sauce - he loved it. We also ordered a side of meatballs to share (yes we eat a lot lol). A real pet peeve of mine is when restaurants have tiny little wine glasses. Red wine just doesn't taste the same in them. They need room for swirling to get the aeration and also to fit your nose in as you take a breath as you sip it to get the full aroma and taste out of it. I don't care if it's a $100 bottle of wine or a $10 bottle of wine, it's just a necessity to have decent sized glasses to drink out of. Now, I understand that this is a family business that's been around for years, but wine glasses aren't that expensive - upgrade them please! The food was good, but not at the prices they charge (in my opinion). They are comparable to semi-fancy Italian restaurants downtown! Think Osteria 166, Tappo, la tavola on hertel etc. So for now, it's a 3-star rating for me. read more

Three dinners, 2 salads, only one drink, a diet pop. Seems WAY WAY WAY overpriced! And the service was merely existent. The space itself is okay. A bit cramped for my liking though. I ordered gnocchi with meatballs. My biggest blunder was failing to ask whether they were homemade or not. I assumed they would be since they claim their pasta is (but I don't think so) homemade. The gnocchi were no different than what I've bought at the grocery store and boiled at home. And for $13/plate (or $14?) they were not worth it. The meatballs were NOT GOOD. Kind of rubbery. The sauce, to me, was a bit bitter, but the best part of my meal. I asked if a salad came with. For $13/$14 per plate for PASTA, which is flour and water, you would think a simple freaking salad would be thrown in, but no. I made the mistake of ordering a salad on the side anyway. It was $5. For a small lettuce salad with some over ripe tomato slices, a few olive shavings, cucumber, a couple of chick peas and other random beans and corn, and awful awful awful chopped celery (I hate celery)! $5 DOLLARS. Jamie got a pop, and was told that "paid drinks" come with a free cup of soup. Huh?! She got the pasta fagiloli but only ate the broth. Ha. I tasted her chicken parm which actually was buttery and melt in your mouth tender, but again upwards of $15, maybe even $17. For a really thin piece of chicken and pasta side. The chicken was the highlight of it all though. The prices alone deter me from returning. If you go to Orazio's, not far from here, you will be guaranteed great service, AT LEAST 2 take home meals, homemade pasta and gnocchi, a great salad thrown in, and a HUGE portion of hot homemade bread. I know my choice the next time I'm looking for Italian food in this neighborhood. It ain't Linguine's! read more

Went to Linguines for the 1st time last night & had a little experience that i feel was quite shocking. There were 6 of us & our bill, without drinks, was over $220.00. The dinners were good, as were the appetizers.Most drank iced tea & 2 of us drank water. Apparently when you purchase a beverage you get a complimentary cup of soup. One gentleman that got the water asked for soup. We didnt know until we got the bill that He was charged $6.00 for a very small cup of soup!!! Now the iced tea was only $2.50... why didnt the server suggest he get one & then get the free soup? So i asked for a container to bring my soup home because i couldn't finish it & was told I couldn't take it home as it was complimentary!?!?! Does not make any sense! I asked why & server told me it was their policy... i asked to speak to a manager & a woman came over & said she was the owner so i told her that i wanted to take my unfinished soup home & she told me no, it was the policy that you can get anything complimentary to go home. i was now getting upset... at the principle of it all. I asked if there was bread left over in our basket, could i take that home & she said yes! I know this isnt a major issue, but im sorry, i paid $6.00 for a cup of soup... which is totally too much, but the complimentary soup i couldnt take home???? After i told that woman i was taking it home & to get me a container she relented & brought one. By now i didnt care about the soup, but i was irritated enough to take it. I didnt get angry, didnt yell, but felt it was my right.
