She is the best doctor I've seen in a long time. She listened to everything I had going on and she even listened to what works best for my body and then referred me to a pcp and a chiro! Me and my service pup Mister had the ultimate experience! I went at 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Idk if there's a difference in morning or night. But def ask for Julianna! I visited the clinic. an overweight woman in my 60's, walking with a cane, while in extreme pain, not knowing if I was having a heart attack, panic attack or something else. I told the receptionist "I am in extreme pain and feel like I may pass out." The receptionist showed no concern or sense of urgency. She told me to have a seat. Once I was seen by a doctor and MA, they addressed my issue and made recommendations but I found their rather lukewarm response to my situation disappointing, under the circumstances. They did not ask probing questions or acknowledge my concerns about what was happening and why I was experiencing the pain. Today my adult son and I came in for him to be seen. We walked in, rhe waiting room was empty. The person at the desk did not greet us or acknowledge we needed to be seen. My son registered at the kiosk, still no interaction from the receptionist. I realize the purpose of electronically checking in, bit I find it unprofessional when a medical provider basically ignores you until they're asking for payment. I've never felt the need to leave a negative review for a medical provider before, and I've seen many! Best Med, do better! read more

The receptionist refused to ask the doctor if he would refer me to a specific specialist. Bestmeds has the clinic on the computer and could do it with the stroke of a key. Receptionist kept repeating the doctor already made a decision. Refused to pass any information forward. She will bring a nice malpractice suite one day. read more

I visited recently for a sinus/ear infection. They didn't have a doctor on-site, which they made me aware of, and had a virtual visit instead. The kicker for me was after I received the final bill nearly a month later. The visit alone, no tests, medicines, etc., was $374. I have very good insurance and that only paid for about $85 of it. The combo COVID, RSV, flu test I received was also $427 prior to insurance. Both seem outrageously high for not seeing a doctor in-person and just having a tech take a look in my ears and swab my sinuses. My recommendation is to call around other offices before visiting Best Med. read more

Great care, unforgivable billing experience Back in November, my daughter and I visited the BestMed Urgent Care on the same day both suffering from sinus issues. We were in the treatment room together and both received the exact same testing and treatment for what turned out to be sinus infections. The experience was excellent. The physician was thorough, kind, and compassionate. The staff was amazing. And then came a bizarre billing experience. A few weeks later, we received the bill for our care. After our insurance contributed its part (we're on the same plan), the cost for my care was inexplicably more than $200 more than the cost for my daughter's. It made no sense as our care was identical, delivered at the same time in the same room by the same staff members. It is not that I wasn't willing to pay my bill, but I wanted to understand why my care was more than double the cost of that of my daughter before I did so. I immediately reached out to Best Med's billing department. The staff there were kind, but not able to explain why the charges were so different. I then called the clinic manager who was very curious and promised to look into the issue and get back to me. A few weeks passed with no return call or email. I called again three times, leaving voicemails each time with the clinic manager and still no response. I also emailed both the clinic manager and BestMed's home office, but still received no response. It was very frustrating, to say the least. Ultimately, I paid the bill rather than risk being sent to collections, but the whole post-care experience has left me so disheartened by their lack of communication and professionalism, not to mention the time invested in attempting to clarify this ridiculous (and somewhat unethical) billing discrepancy. I've still never had any explanation as to why my care was so much more expensive than my daughter's. I am so thankful that we have wonderful options for urgent care in Central Oregon, however find it so unfortunate that I cannot recommend BestMed, as our in-office experience was quite stellar. I typically don't take the time to write reviews like this, but I've since noticed that I don't appear to be alone in my experience. I've seen several other reviews online highlighting similar issues with BestMed's billing practices. It appears to be a common issue and one I think potential clients should be aware of before they use BestMed's services. read more

$365.00 new patient fee I've used this clinic for years, last name Your Care...when they switched from ??? Whatever name prior I wasn't charged a "New Patient Fee"! Clearly, if anyone was notified at check in you would be charged $365 bucks plus physician fees you would walk (unless dying) and you should be at ER if that was the case. Doctor was pleasant, and seemed knowledgeable. I do NOT recommend this clinic if you have a sky rocket deductible like myself! I went in to this clinic about two months ago for a sinus infection. I paid a $35 copay at the front desk and provided my insurance information. TWO MONTHS LATER, I noticed that BestMed had charged my credit card $150. No notice, no bill in the mail, no notification whatsoever. I initiated a fraud dispute with my credit card company and got the charge reversed, however I can't ignore the fact that this company essentially tried to steal money from me. The TV is cranked up so loud it's obnoxious, they claim it's for patient privacy but it's actually disturbing the patients. Not very friendly, they act like they don't want to be there. I was bit by a dog while traveling. We're in Sisters, Oregon for a month so I had to seek medical help in a different state where my health insurance is not accepted. I found BestMed Urgent Csre on Yelp and the reviews were varied. I went in on a Saturday morning and realistically probably expected to spend most of the day there. But to my surprise I was in and out within an hour. The lady at the front desk checked me in and took all my information, she did a great job and was very knowledgeable at her job. The nurse that took my vitals was fast and efficient. The physicians assistant did a great job diagnosing my swollen hand and proscribed antibiotics and had me on my way. This urgent care facility is well worth the 5+ stars from my experience there. read more

Hi there, l went to You Care with a grade 3 ankle sprain today it was so swollen it looked like a tennis ball was covering the spot where my ankle bone should be and l was in a great deal of pain which is to be expected so they gave me an X-ray and determined that it was not broken. The staff and Doctor were very polite and professional, but when l asked about pain meds l was told sorry there's not much we can do for you. So l understand that the country is in the grips of a horrible opioid crisis and has been for some time but when people who legitimately need pain meds can't get them it's a real shame, so l had to call my family care provider and make an appointment to see her so l could get the proper care that l needed. Bottom line is unless it's a minor injury don't waste your time and money. read more

I walked into the waiting room (where only one parent and child were waiting) and started going throught the check in process, and when the lady at the front desk realized I didn't have insurance she basically said to go kick rocks and find service elsewhere. I was passing through Redmond, running a fever and fairly sure I had Covid. I stopped by for a test here based on their rating. I requested a PCR test, as the most reliable way to know if I was sick. When informed the testing would cost something North of $500, I said "I can't pay that", and the person responded with "Can you pay $25?" I said yes, I paid, and was tested. Instead of a PCR test they did a rapid antigen test, the sort of test I could have done myself out in my car with the test kits I already had, but since it came back positive we called it good. Today, more than a month after service, I get a text message billing me for $557 for a rapid test I could have done myself, which I did not agree to pay this much money for. They did nothing for me aside from confirming what I already suspected, I received no treatment, no medication, no assistance, and certainly did not agree to such an egregious cost for routine health care. I spent time on the phone discussing this, had to get kicked up a level in management, and got an offer to pay a little less than $100 additional for the service I had already received for a price already agreed upon. At the time of service they stated my insurance (Lifewise) would not cover this, so BestMed acting like it's a surprise my insurance refused their billing is a bald faced lie. This is fraud, an outrageous attempt to collect money I NEVER agreed to pay, for the most minimal service possible, and they'll just file with a collection agency when I refuse to pay them the money they are not entitled to. Staff and service were just fine, but the corporate overlord is just foul and fraudulent, and is attempting to extort funds from me that I did not agree to. read more

They raised prices by at least four times, but didn't bother to notify self paying patients, they have run out every good employee, and the entire corporation is run by a bunch of incompetent personnel acting as bratty teenagers with no customer service skills or accountability. The waiting room was very nice. I was offered a bottle of water to drink. From my experience, that was the highlight. The billing specialist was a poor listener and tried telling me I had a different insurance coverage than what I had told her. It wasn't until several minutes later when she looked me up in the system that she finally believed me. As a former healthcare administrator and someone who RAN a health plan, I thought I would be a credible source. My visit was for a torn Achilles tendon. I knew there wasn't much they could do for me at an urgent care clinic, but I did need a referral to an orthopedic specialist right away to get it evaluated and establish a treatment plan. The Nurse Practitioner cane in and didn't seem very confident. Her English wasn't outstanding. She asked me a few questions, then said there wasn't much you could do about that and just told me to rest it and elevate. With that, she was ready to send me home. I wasn't satisfied with that, and pointed out that on one leg you could feel a nice, tight tendon and on the other it was just soft. Also, I could not perform important functions like pushing down with my foot. She looked surprised and said she needed to go "make a phone call." She came back in about 10 minutes later and said she couldn't reach anyone (phone a friend didn't work). She had some printouts from the internet and said she thought my tendon might be torn. She also tried taping my ankle up, but couldn't figure out the diagram from the internet, so she asked me to tape it up - but the office didn't have the right kind of tape or padding! I was eager to get out of there and see a specialist the next morning. Sure enough, the tendon was torn and I scheduled for surgery within a week. read more

After 3 weeks of coughing that sounded like a barking seal, I had enough. I went to Urgent Care because I figured at this point I had a sinus infection, bronchitis or even pneumonia. (No chest x-ray- they don't have equipment there to do it!!) I was given Prednisone and an inhaler. I was told if I didn't feel better in a week to come back. Well, I ended up going back a week later, feeling even worse. This time I was given an antibiotic. It took me nearly a week to feel "better" but I still have a bit of cough (nearly 5 wks). During this same time, my son also ended up in Urgent Care with the same symptoms. Same...exact...outcome. Prednisone and inhaler, and now a repeat visit to his regular physician, 1.5 weeks later. Not impressed. This has been very frustrating AND expensive for us both (approx $400 and counting- even WITH insurance!); not to mention missed work & school. Maybe now they have a down payment to get the x-ray equip? When you aren't feeling well, the last thing you want to have to do is go to the doctor TWICE. It would be really nice if they could help you on the FIRST visit! read more

While dry camping in the backwoods, proceeded to dump a pot of boiling water on my stocking covered foot. I knew what to do to minimize the results, but ended with severe second degree burns across the top of my foot. We were 80 miles away from any medical assistance. Called them, they said to come right in. Arrived, was rushed in and immediately provided with excellent care. Still hurt like heck, and could not undue the damage, but the result was no infection, and expert advice on care. The facility is spotless, staff very helpful and friendly, not that I want to hang out here or go again, but if I do, this will be the place. read more

The facilities are fine, the staff are reasonably pleasant, but this place is absolutely incapable of clearly communicating anything. They tell you they'll call, and don't. The employees contradict one another. I was given a false diagnosis, then a call to correct it. Not trusting them anymore I called the next day and was unable to speak to anyone. I called 3 times, waited on hold, and finally got a call back at around 7pm telling me that there was a final lab result pending, and it would be ready the next day. I waited for a call that never came (again) and called them once more to be told that there was nothing further pending, they don't know what the person I spoke to the day before was talking about, and if I still have symptoms, go find a primary care dr. If you have something simple, I'm sure they can handle it. If you have a real issue, find a real Dr. I am trying to be as fair as I can in this review, but to be honest I'm pretty angry at this point. read more

Don't expect the same care from one day to the next. The PAs are not aligned on treatment of COVID. I went in Saturday and was told myself and my family could get treated with Paxlovid and the next day a new provider would not prescribe it to my daughter. This is concerning since PAs have to be supervised by an MD. This was time consuming and I would not return there. read more

Phenomenal care! I recently moved to the area and haven't established a primary care physician yet. I have a very rare pre-existing condition, which causes recurring lymphatic issues, so when I had a flair up I was nervous. Most urgent cares misdiagnose me or disregard my explanation, but Your Care was completely different! The front desk lady was so funny and sweet, nurses were very helpful and friendly, and Melinda (I believe she was the nurse practitioner) was amazing! She knew of my condition, listened to what I had to say (and what I know works for me), gave some great suggestions and sent me off with a prescription and a list of primary care doctors in the area. I was thoroughly impressed with her knowledge, kindness, and care. If I ever need to go to an urgent care again, I will definitely come back! read more

Im not one to write reviews but I've gotten to the point where I want to warn others. I took my daughter in last year because she had rsv. MAs and PA were great my issue is all with the billing department. Insurance was not properly entered and I got footed the entire 450 dollar bill. Reached out updated the insurance and don't hear anything assumed it was taken care of. Just got another bill in the mail. They are telling me they reached out to pacific source and I was marked as patient responsibility in their system. My insurance has confirmed my visit should have been 100 percent covered and this is a nightmare trying to fix. Every time I call they are super rude to me. Apparently they can't look up my insurance companies address and phone number but told me to Google it and figure it out myself. Completely awful. I will never return to this establishment. Super disappointed that they took over all the family choice urgent cares. read more

We're in Redmond for 6 days & both hubby & I caught a cold while near The Dalles. Hubby's became bronchitis, and he was worse than me (mine became a short bout of laryngitis). I knew he needed something for his sinus pain, chills, throat & cough because he'd been feverish, so as soon as we set up our campsite, we headed over to nearby Your Care. I'd read the Yelp & Google reviews, yet still hoped for a great experience. There was one gent waiting in the lobby, but that was it for around 3pm. Tina at reception was great in expediting us to a room (from paperwork to room took no longer than 10 mins) & Jamie took us back. Both these ladies have great personalities & knew what they were doing. Hubby was seen by their FNP, not the doctor. Between hubby & I, we'd given a fairly good account of his illness to Jamie, & hubs was coughing his head off. So when the NP came in, she states "You're the one doing the hacking & coughing?" Hubs said he was. She checks lungs, ears, throat, asks about sinus pain, then calls his problem "bronchospasm" & wants to give him only prednisone. What?! I pointed out his productive cough, which needs an antibiotic. So she adds one to his notes & leaves. We looked at each other & said, "That's all?" Took less than 5 mins start to finish! I get that NPs are limited in scope of practice by their states. We're from AZ, but I did my nurse's training in OR over 30 years ago. We were never taught to rush through things & this was seriously rushed. In all my years of medical experience, I've never seen anything quite like it. She never asked about his cough, even though she clearly heard it, and she gave us no recommendations on what to do for it. Jamie & I at least talked about homeopathic therapies! As such, this just adds to my continuing lack of trust in traditional medicine. Today, hubby had a coughing fit while drinking hot lemonade. He was coughing like he did when he had whooping cough 15 yrs ago & would pass out. When he has to ask for help, it's bad. To not address his cough, even worse. So I guess it's up to me -- again -- to advocate, protect & assert myself for my loved one. I recommend that you do, too. My review reflects 5 stars for Tina & Jamie, who are wonderful, and 1.5-2 stars for the NP. Wish it could've been more. read more

Traveling through Redmond, OR, the wife was not feeling well. We stopped at Your Care, seeing it off the highway. The staff had a friendly greeting. I am sure at times, the wait maybe long, but I was seen in 15 minutes. The attending physician was helpful and friendly. I was out of the office within 45 minutes. The office took all my insurance info and billed the insurance for me. I am pleased with my treatment and services. read more

I have been here twice now, and this place is HORRIBLE! I went about a week ago and paid cash for a simple issue I am having, and they did a test and sent me home. Symptoms are still here a week later. I talked to a cousin of mine who is a doctor in Atlanta and she said it sounded like a very simple case of a specific thing and could easily be fixed with antibiotics. I looked it up and had 5 of the 7 symptoms of what she told me. I simply called back to run this by James who had seen me there and was told that I would need to come in and pay all over again. This is step one of what I told them was going to happen if they didn't respond. Step two, is contacting my attorney to get my money back! I couldn't care less about the money........ Now it's the principle of another place just wanting to take advantage of you, and doesn't care....... Take this into simple consideration. As with all visits to medical places, my experience is typically broken down into three sections: getting a better bill of health, the amount of the bill and (if the bill is outrageous) dealing with the billing department. As far as getting a better bill of health, this place was excellent. My wife came in and was diagnosed with Pneumonia and within days was feeling much better. The staff was all very professional and excellent in addressing the medical aspects of our visit. But then comes the actual bill. And it really pisses me off when I feel like a medical provider is extorting a patient in order to get better. I myself had Walking Pneumonia a few months earlier and went to Zoomcare in Portland and received a total bill including all of my meds for $184. These guys charged us $485. Seriously, is $300 more a reasonable amount for the next level of Pneumonia when it takes a half hour additional at most to treat? I argued at length and played about a month of phone tag with just about everyone at the office and they wouldn't budge on the price complaining about how they'd break contract with their insurance companies, etc etc. It all sounds like a massive collusion between whoever they deal with. The process of arguing with the billing department was professional, so I am tempted to bump up my overall rating to 3 stars. But you know what, I'm not going to because I shouldn't have to deal with your billing department in the first place. Hmphh. read more

Went here to have staples removed from a scalp wound. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. Stephanie did a GREAT job explaining the procedures and costs and it ended up being less than we were expecting to pay. they do NOT know how to draw blood they tried 5 times, I've never experienced anything like this before it's usually very easy for phlebotomist to draw blood from me. It also seems as though they don't communicate well within the office because I got 4 phone calls about the same thing regarding my appointment. Very unorganized and undertrained. Just a bad experience. When I went in I was experiencing stomach pains and muscle cramps and a very intense way that was not normal for me. I waited in the waiting room for over two hours and then they took me back to a room. The assistant came in and took my vitals and asked me why I was there, then left the room and I proceeded to wait for another hour. During that time I open the door and checked with the staff twice to see if anyone was coming. After three hours of waiting, I got up and left because I could not wait anymore. I received a bill in the mail for $225. When I called into the accounts department to explain that I never actually saw anyone, she informed me that the doctor had charted everything and I had been diagnosed with stomach pains. I asked how that was possible since I never actually saw anyone. She was rude and explained that it didn't matter and I had to pay my bill but I could file a complaint if I wanted to. This it's the finest urgent care facility and I recommend them highly! They treated me with respect and they left no stone unturned. Because of them I learned of two conditions about which I had no prior knowledge and ones that need attention. They called me in the evening and on a Sunday with test results and recommendations.
