The roof still had some life left in it, but the drainage issues were accelerating deterioration and eventually would have led to much more expensive repairs.The scope included removing the old roofing system, installing tapered insulation to improve slope, and applying a new modified bitumen membrane. They also rebuilt several flashing details around the perimeter and upgraded portions of the drainage system. The project moved smoothly from start to finish and the results were immediately noticeable. The first major storm after completion was probably the best test possible. Instead of puddles sitting around for days, the roof drained the way it was supposed to!

Charlie came over and wrote me up an estimate on the spot on a pre-printed multi part yellow form -- warranty included (did I mention old school?), I just went with them without waiting for the other estimate because he said he could do the job the next day, max two days. Well, that solves my problem right away so I go for it without even getting the other estimate. His guys come, the job is neat and clean--no more leaks and done in one day. I have a nice new white colored roof which is greener too. Five days later, I get the estimate from the other guys and it was way more complicated and expensive. The guy was very considerate and looked at everything, then he called Charles back, who called me, and quoted me $6,500 to replace the entire 250 square foot roof. He kept saying it was 500 square feet, which it definitely is not (he had not seen it in person). I tried to talk through various options with him, but as soon as it became clear I likely wasn't going to spend $6,500 on the spot to replace the entire roof, he became disinterested and eventually hung up on me. I get Charles not wanting to waste time, but the numbers he was throwing at me seemed very large, especially for the situation. He wasn't wiling to talk through things at all unless I was going to commit to thousands of dollars on the spot. Also, after some less rushed research, $6,500 is a very high price for a 250 square foot flat roof. Charles seemed like a nice enough fellow - but I can't help feeling that I narrowly escaped being taken for a very expensive ride because i needed work done quickly - as anyone with a leaking roof likely can relate to!

I never needed a new roof...merely new flashing on my skylights. My daughter's ceiling has been repaired and painted twice before these photos were taken just today. Notice the sloppy tar work on the skylights. He stood me up on December 21st, 2017 to 'scrape off' the visible tar. Never showed and offered $1500 back to use someone else. It's all memorialized in text massages. I've yet to receive any restitution. His work and his word are worthless. Since posting this review this morning, I have gotten threatening text messages from Eden Goldenberg with respect to my livelihood. Beware of this businessman. In response to Eden Goldenberg's message below...the house was built in 2003. I don't consider that to be 'very old.' Update...Filed small claims court suit in April 2018. Eden Goldenberg never showed. I was awarded the total amount by the judge (4K+ court costs). I initially asked the owner to come to my place and give me a quote on a gutter that is leaking. He…read morewas very prompted with messaging and gave me a quote on the spot. The one thing that I'm angry about is that when he put his ladder to look at the gutter he actually made it worse. He banged on the my aluminum gutter so hard that it bent. I was on the roof watching him do it. When he climbed the ladder he said my gutter was bad and that is bent... and then i told him that it was straight until he banged his ladder into it and he replied that there was no other way to get his ladder up without doing that. At the moment I didn't think much of it and so today i had another person give me a second opinion and told me that the other person should not have bent my gutter with his ladder like that. That was very unprofessional of him to make my gutter worse and then blame me for it. For that, fuck him.
