Coffee Ice Cream is the bomb

Love that this Old Fashioned Ice Cream shoppe is right next door to my son's apartments. If I lived here I'd probably be in trouble. Ain't nuthin' but a hop, skip, and jump away. My wife and kiddo came here on a late evening for a treat. The ice cream selection had a plentiful and the flavors were had were splendid and creamy! A perfect way to end the day. Definitely recommend a pit stop if you're nearby. As always, Enjoy & Happy licking!

The menu of the different flavors

From the time I walked in the door the atmosphere was so inviting and kind of overwhelming with all the different flavors. How in the world do you choose? I chose Blueberry ice cream on a sugar cone. It had fresh frozen big blueberries. Hmmm... The ice cream tasted so fresh like they just churned it. Is that what they do:)- Nevertheless, the staff were congenial and patient as they indulged my questions about other flavors. I'm visiting from out of town and this was such a great find by accident. Such a nice accident. If you live here or visiting please make your way to this shop; your tastebuds will thank you.

The staff here were super friendly, and the service was impressively quick--especially for a spot that makes their ice cream in-house. I ordered the lime sherbet, which I'd rate an 7.5/10. Also went back and asked about the fan favorites: country pecan and old fashion Sunday. The country pecan was my favorite of the two but that's just a preference because the Sunday was just as delicious. I really enjoy that the flavors don't feel overly sweet, and they are at the perfect texture to enjoy! My total was about $29 with a 15% tip for two waffle cones and one cup. The cones were eggnog in one, and pistachio/vanilla in the other. Overall, great service and solid ice cream!

My granddaughter loves ice cream as much as I do so I took her for a treat at Beth Marie's. This location is located in a nice shopping area right off of I-35. The ice cream parlor has plenty of seating, it's spacious inside. There are so many flavors to choose from you stare at the menu planning future visits. I'm glad my little cutie pie enjoyed her scoop of chocolate ice cream because it costs more than $3 after tax for one little scoop. Beth Marie's is delicious and also pricey.

Such a great spot in Denton. The flavor selection was really vast and unique, and the interior was really cute. Definitely recommend

It is always bustling and busy at Beth Marie's Unicorn Lake location, and for good reason! Everything is super tasty! Their cobbler is amazing, ice creams are amazing, too! Feeling adventurous? The phosphate is amazing and not really all that adventurous but served as a nostalgic treat for my septuagenarian father. It is crowded and stressful upon entry, stress even permeates from the super hardworking, super busy employees. Definitely not a place to go for a calm dessert. It is a frenetic lively place that channels old timey ice cream shops. Worth the line stress, I promise! They get you through it safe and quickly.

Texas Doctor(pecan praline), trick or treat (seasonal eith lots of candies), cinnful oat (cinnamon oatmeal cookie)

First of all, this is one of the cutest ice cream shops I've ever seen. It's stlyed after an old-school soda shop, with a menu to match! In addition to the sundaes and cones, there are ice cream sodas and phosphates (never had this before, I'm definitely intrigued). I split a sampler boat with a friend, and it was enough for us. We got Texas doctor (pecan praline), trick or treat (a seasonal full of various candies), and Cinnful oat (cinnamon and oatmeal cookie), and we loved every flavor. My favorite was the cinnful oat, oatmeal cookies are an underrated ice cream mix-in. Our ice cream was served in a glass boat, which fut the vibe perfectly. I recently moved nearby, so this is looking like a great place to treat myself!

    Espresso Chip Brownie Sundae
    Santanu S.

There were many flavors on display but none of their chocolate flavors, unless you consider S'mores and Rocky Road chocolate. I was told the regular chocolate was available in the freezer. I decided to get the espresso chip in a brownie sundae. Since I was not asked a size, I assume it comes in one size. At over $8, I was saddened of the small size of the sundae. The brownie itself must have been small to fit at the bottom. The whipped topping being as enjoyable as the ice cream pleasantly surprised me. There is signage requiring a facial mask and social distancing. I wished I had known it was an old sign prior to the vaccines. My car was parked at the opposite end and it would have saved me the walk to get my mask. About half the adult customers were not wearing a mask and they were packed like sardines.

My friend delightedly agreed. Beth Marie's, designed as an old fashioned ice cream parlor, serves up a plethora of ice cream flavors and confections. Some particular flavors that caught my eye were whiskey and coke and watermelon with chocolate chips. They offer other ice cream concoctions such as sundaes, malts and banana splits. Where does one begin with so many choices? But my heart was already set on a hot fudge sundae for old time sake and my friend decided to try one as well. Beth Marie's at the Denton Square location opens at 11:30 a.m. so it was perfect for our ice cream lunch and a cooling respite on a hot July day.

Ohhh... Beth Maries... Y'all can do better!!…read more I went out of my way for an ice cream at your cute little place; I had not been there in years. One employee (the only one there) was servicing a group of five or six people. They paid and left the shop. The employee looked at me and said, "I'll be right with you....(something something...mumble mumble...". He began packing pints and placing them in their little white (To-Go) bags... it took a very long time. Then he handed them to a DoorDash driver. (okay - that's what he was doing... a little communication would have been lovely) He then turned to me (no thanks for waiting... nothing). "What can I get you?" I (laughed, giving a little grace) told him what I wanted --a waffle cone with a small scoop of the Salted Caramel (push it into the bottom, please), and I would like to taste the Peterbuilt. So, he handed me a baby taste. I said it's really good, please add a scoop of that on top. He must've packed the bottom of the cone with the salted caramel, then added another salted caramel scoop, before adding a Peterbilt scoop (which I asked for, "not a large scoop, please"). I even said, "That's too much..." He didn't acknowledge. I asked him, "Do you not have any help today?" he said, "Well, we didn't plan on being so busy today ... Columbus Day...(mumble mumble); we are shorthanded. He placed the cone (wrapped in the messy napkin full of ice cream) on the scale that already had someone else's ice cream drips on it... How many people have also paid for his napkin full of ice cream, and others (who have already paid for) ice cream? I loudly said, "Thanks for charging me for the dirty napkin". I couldn't even see the iPad screen... I tried to tap my card, but couldn't tell if it had been accepted. He then said, "Did you want your receipt?" I replied, "Oh, it worked, I didn't even see how much it was...". $10 .... T E N dollars for an ice-cream cone?? Seriously? Not even a thank you... By then, another customer had walked in, and the employee moved on to assist them. There are so many issues with this visit... We won't be back, but I hope this review helps others prepare for the upcharges of ice cream by the ounce. $.90 per ounce... and watch out for those extra napkins on the scale --they'll cost you! Oh ... your customers shouldn't be made to feel like an inconvenience!
