I was the one communicating with the owner, Doug, during the visit and he even texted me the receipt directly while I was standing there in the store. Within a day or two, around February 12th, we decided to cancel the order. From that point forward we spent weeks calling and trying to get a refund. On March 12th I texted Doug again regarding the refund. Screenshots of that conversation are included with this review. In those messages he discussed giving a partial refund and repeatedly asked that we remove the review. On Friday March 13th I personally went back to the store and picked up cash from Doug in the amount of $2,355. Even then the full amount was not refunded despite the order being cancelled almost immediately after the purchase. After I posted my original review about the experience, Doug began calling and texting me asking that I delete it. I have included screenshots of those communications so people can see exactly what was said. Doug also replied publicly to my previous review claiming that I was not a customer of the business. That is not accurate. I was present in the store during the purchase, communicated directly with Doug, received the receipt from him by text, and I was the one who returned to the store to collect the refund. I have also included screenshots of the original review that was removed. People rely on reviews when making important decisions, especially when purchasing medical equipment. Because of how this situation was handled and the communication afterward asking that the review be removed, I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. All of the statements in this review reflect my direct experience with this business and the communication I personally had with the owner. Supporting screenshots have been included for transparency.

I have an electric wheelchair and a manual wheelchair a few weeks ago the back wheel on my manual wheel Wheelchair fell apart. The rubber came off and the ball bearing were not in the best shape. I spent well over a week trying to find a supplier that had a replacement wheel for this wheelchair, I finally came across pomona medical supply. I gave them the serial number of My Wheelchair and the brand. They had an extra wheel that would fit My Wheelchair! We delivered the wheelchair to their office and within 40 minutes. They had replaced the wheel given all four wheels a little bit of a tuneup and sent me home with it! The staff was very nice. They charged me $110 for the new wheel which is on point with what every other Supplier I talk to you told me the wheel would cost. I highly recommend this business. They are in a bit of a dodgy area so be sure you lock your car before you go inside lol overall I give this business a 10 out of 10 I am very grateful that they were able to meet my needs While I am mostly dependent on my electric wheelchair. There are times when my electric chiller will not fit in places that I am trying to go and we have to use my manual wheelchair so it is a very important part of my day-to-day life and I am glad to have it back Thankyou, thank you, thank you Pomona Medical Supply

I bought the S-Ergo 125 which is only 25 lbs and has flip back arms for easy transfers. Most standard manual wheelchairs are over 40 lbs making it difficult for some people to load into a vehicle. This Southern California company is a leading manufacturer of wheelchairs and distribution of home medical products for over 28 years. Benefits of Karman are that you can buy online from them directly or they have distributors throughout the United States, which are listed on their website. Another reason to choose Karman is their excellent Customer Service. Amber in Customer Service is impressive. She not only understands the technical aspects of her company's products, but is also kind, caring, knowledgeable and goes out of her way to understand your needs. I was impressed by Amber's knowledge and technical expertise. Amber is an outstanding role model for Customer Service.

I contacted Karman customer service and was told all they would do is send a replacement part. I was left with a dysfunctional wheelchair for over one week. Karman knew I was totally wheelchair bound. They said they could not send any instructions or applicable hardware. Karman did not even expedite the mailing of the replacement parts. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING A KARMAN WHEELCHAIR. Poor quality construction and pathetic customer service makes this line of healthcare products a bad choice. Diane Roubaud

Israel was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He used FaceTime to get all the details: measurements, number of stairs, etc., and sent us a very reasonable estimate while we were still online. The great part is that he was able to schedule installation in less than a week. German Ceja came this morning, and was done in less than three hours. German was great! He went over all the necessary items, like how to ride the stairlift (no placing your full weight on the footrest, how to charge the stairlift, etc.) If anyone is thinking of putting in a stairlift, please call Gamburd. They are the absolute best.

At the time, it seemed like the only option having just bought a stacked home with 2 flights of stairs. We waited about 6 months for them to be built and installed. About a year later, one of them started to malfunction. We called several times, often with difficulty getting through. We spent time with customer service diligently trouble shooting, cleaning as recommended and requesting service. 4 times, the same repair person was sent out, was there for about 15 minutes and then said he'd the unit was fixed and that we needed to do a better job cleaning the unit. But almost as soon as he'd leave, the unit would start beeping loudly again. We were told that the unit was out of warranty and so needed to pay for the servicing. First we were asked to pay $400 and then they company agreed to let us pay $200. Today, we had a different technician come out who found that there was something actually wrong with some of the parts which would need replacing - luckily these were under the 2 year parts warranty. Hopefully this will fix it for good. When you pay this much for a product, it shouldn't break down that quickly - especially since we barely use the lift. What's clear is that we're having to pay for faulty equipment and installation. If you need to purchase chair lifts, make sure to go with a company that has warranty of at least 5 years. This is ridiculous. * Wanted to respond to the "business manager's" response below: We were told that there is a lifetime warranty on parts - that's one of the reasons we felt confident to make the purchase. However, there was no mention that this was only for outdoor units. This should be clarified at the time of purchase - especially since most people have indoor units. You can imagine our shock to find out that the warranty is actually only one year for service and 2 years for parts.
