Walked in, and the lady put me in a chair and asked how I'd like my hair cut. I told her the same just shorter. She said ok and went to work. She didn't ask what type of men's haircut I wanted (online it has 3 different levels at different prices). I'm assuming the default is the $25 "premium" cut, which online still says $24. You don't get a hairwash at first. She sprays you w/a misting spray. The shampoo comes after your haircut is finished followed by a really quick "scalp massage" (don't expect anything great. Just a quick simple 5-10 second lather with some oil or something). I asked her to cut one part of my hair a little more at the end since it was sticking out. She knew exactly what I meant. And she happily touched it up. At the end, pretty happy w/the results. Haircut looks great. I wish I knew her name so I could say thanks. Likely coming back!

Over time, I had two concerns about billing--one involving an unexpected charge and another involving what I believed was an overcharge. I raised these concerns respectfully because I believe clients should feel comfortable asking questions about pricing and services. The situation that ultimately ended my relationship with the salon arose while I was trying to coordinate my keratin treatment and hair color, appointments I had planned well in advance. After an unexpected change to my keratin appointment, I communicated with my stylists while trying to find a solution. I genuinely did not understand that communicating with them in this way was considered outside the salon's preferred communication channels or that anyone was uncomfortable with it. My intention was simply to work out my appointments, not to cross anyone's boundaries. Once I was told there was a problem, I apologized, explained that I had not understood the salon's expectations, and assured them that I would respect those boundaries going forward. Nevertheless, all of my future appointments were cancelled and I was told that I could no longer return. I respect that salon employees are entitled to boundaries. What disappointed me was not being made aware that there was a concern earlier, when I could have understood the expectations and changed how I communicated. If a salon has specific rules about clients communicating directly with stylists outside established salon channels, I believe those rules should be clearly communicated beforehand. I valued the stylists who worked with my hair and would have happily respected the salon's communication boundaries once they were explained to me. I wish this had been resolved through a conversation and an opportunity to correct an unintentional misunderstanding rather than ending a longstanding client relationship. Unfortunately, the way management handled the situation left me feeling uncomfortable and deeply disappointed, and it has completely changed my opinion of the salon.

I usually rely on Yelp for everything, so I was a bit hesitant when I didn't see many reviews for this salon, yet they didn't just recently open. I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad I did! Kristin is the owner and cut my hair tonight. About a month ago, I went to another salon and asked for a long bob (lob). It was left too long in the back, it was too thick and didn't have any movement. When I described what I didn't like about it, Kristin knew exactly what I meant. I also showed her some pictures and my cut looks spot on. She also had great attention to detail and was very thorough. She would see how the style would move and then make adjustments and cut a bit more. My bangs kept separating, which would have looked stringy. So Kristin ended up making them a bit thicker, which was a good solution. Before, I was always afraid to get my hair cut in fear that it would turn out choppy, uneven, they'd cut too much off, etc.. But now I'm actually looking forward to the next time I need a cut so I can keep my lob looking sleek or even experiment with something different. Kristin is really friendly too and the salon is so cute! *UPDATE! It has now been one month since my haircut and I have received tons of compliments. It's SO easy to style and the layers still fall right into place beautifully.
