This was my second visit. The staff were very friendly and welcoming when I arrived, which I appreciated. However, once I was seated and selected my service, the experience felt inconsistent. Halfway through my manicure, another technician had to take over (I assume the original one had to leave), and the rest of the service felt rushed. It was finished quickly, with no hot towel or the same attention to detail I experienced during my first visit. I also felt the service quality varied depending on what you choose. I started going to this nail salon in September, after visiting a seafood place next door. I have been looking for a consistent nail tech and I found them! My first visit was with the owner Rose and she took care of my nails as if they were hers. Her attention to detail, the advice she gave on keeping them healthy and the overall experience of as just great. I think her mom did my pedicure the 1st time and I felt like I was in the comfort of my own home. Julie has been doing my pedicures and she is the absolute best!! When I say, these ladies support healthy and gorgeous nails, it's hands down the best experience. I feel so relaxed when I'm there and I feel like I should plan a trip somewhere when I get a fresh set and color!! There was a time when there was a mixup with the scheduling and the nail tech kept apologizing, but it was truly not an issue at all. I can appreciate a business taking accountability for things, but when it's truly not an issue, I'm always super kind and understanding because we are not meant to be perfect all of the time. Just knowing that if something is not right or I'm not satisfied with service (which I have NEVER been), I know they would do everything they could to make it right and that is top tier service to me. When I walk in the salon, it feels like they came to work for me and that is the best feeling, especially when we live in a world where people are always rushing and always on the go. It's nice to just relax, be in the moment and enjoy a little bit of pampering. And did I mention that my nails are perfect!! Now I have broke a nail, but it was from flicking it wrong on something at the gym, but if I'M careful, my nails don't crack or peel and can last about a month. I LOVE my full set I got yesterday. I am so particular about my nails and any small error, I latch onto. Fortunately, Rose is an amazing nail tech and I have zero complaints! I got dip with tips. They are all the same length and shape which Rose executed effortlessly! She also made sure to keep them thinner because I like a more natural look. My experience at this salon was not only great because of Rose, but also because of Holly and Sam. I went with my sister and her two kids, one of which is only a year and a half and would not sit still and started getting a little sassy and loud towards the end. Holly was a huge help and took my niece and started entertaining and talking to her. Sam did my sister's birthday nails and absolutely killed it. The whole staff and environment in the salon is welcoming and nice. Even the other regular customers were nice and accepting with the kids. 110% recommend this salon read more

Wow! None of these reviews reflect my experience. First....I just moved here & have 4 nail salons to pick from. The 1st did not apply the polish next to my cuticle. I bring my own colors so if I get a chip I can apply until the next pedicure. I also like that they open @ 9am so had no problem with waiting. I didn't see re-use of any product the used on me. I explained the issue of application at prior salon & asked for 2 coats of color & 2 of topcoat. They also give a punch card...altho you don't get a free pedicure...only $20...which is pretty cheesy. read more

I am very disappointed to have to write this review.I've been going here for a while and with few exceptions, I've been happy with the services I had an appt for acrylic manicure and there was a client in the chair already. I wait my turn and as I'm waiting I overhear them telling the client to use a fungus medicine 2 times a day(which why use a medicine if you don't have a fungus??) Later, the client asks someone else for the fungus medicine because "hopefully I can get rid of this"(again, Confirmation that there is a fungus). The client gets moved to another table and I am seated. I'm asked to put my hands under the light and the table is full of clipped nails and filing dust. I ask if the table can be cleaned and they wipe it off. In my head I'm thinking "well, it's Covid season and we are all trying our best. So regardless of a fungus or not, Covid alone should be a reason to disinfect between clients. But even if we leave out Covid and the fungus, it SHOULD be disinfected between clients" I was gonna leave a review, then I felt bad. As a private business owner, I've always told my clients that I would love them to come to me first with negative feedback. I'm always striving to do better. So in that spirit, I decide I'd rather tell him instead of leaving a bad review.. maybe it was a bad day or maybe he just was in a rush or whatever.. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. So I tell him and I get a very defensive response, denying that "fungus" was ever mentioned and that he indeed cleaned the table after I asked him to. I tell him that I shouldn't have to tell him to clean it and that it should've been cleaned before I was sat down. He gets really loud and says that if I'm not happy with this salon, I should find something that I'm happy with and that I "can't just say anything I want". I say ok, as he angrily finishes my nails, I pay and leave a tip(because that reflects more on who I am - though I regret it now) and as I look at my nail, I'm realizing that from the moment I said something to him, the quality of my manicure drastically decreased and now I have unclean looking cuticle polish. This makes me so sad and disappointed. Thought I'd leave this review here, in hopes that other people might find it helpful. read more

Can not reccommend unfortunately. I used to be a loyal customer. Quality of service and care have dropped significantly. Too many other wonderful gel pedicurists elsewhere to spend more money here. I have been going here for years and have put up with minor idiosyncrasies. However, I went for my usual basic pedicure - which has gone up (again) to $40 - and did not receive adequate service. There was only the owner and one other woman doing all the work today. They should have told me when I called for an appointment that they were shorthanded. The woman doing my pedicure rushed from another person, to me and then a new client. She was pleasant but obviously overworked. She nicked three of my toes with the cuticle clippers and the foot massage and exfoliation were short and inadequate. The quality of the nail polish application was also rushed and uneven. *** BUYER BEWARE*** I recently had my 14 year old daughter and her best friend go here and although her friend's nails were done perfectly by who I believe to be the owner, my daughter did not share the same experience. My daughter had her nails done by a less experienced employee and one day after her nails were done it was still tacky, uneven, and frankly just looked bad. I believe it's due to expired polish that no longer has the cure properties as it one did. The guy in charge immediately became defensive, creating a scene in front of other customers and refused to fully refund her money even though he agreed that after one day the nails did not look good. He was very rude in front of my child and even called me dumb. My daughter went down the street to Lily's Nails and fixed the nails done by Serenity. They were kind and knew what they are doing. read more

Came in today for a manicure and pedicure. I always get shellac and their selection is okay, other places have a lot more, but I found a color I liked. It was a Friday morning and there was no wait which was nice. I have been looking for a nail salon around the Mukilteo area as I just moved here. I have gone to a couple others around the area, but have been cut a couple times while getting my cuticles done so I'm still on the hunt. Serenity will not be it unfortunately. I'm huge on customer service and the two gals who did my nails were both polite and friendly. They were careful with my cuticles because I told them I'm really scared now from my previous experiences. The reasons for the two stars: There was a gentleman (assuming he's the owner) who came out from the back room and started manning reception as they started to get busy. I saw him ask a couple people come help including the gal who was just starting to paint my nails. He then sat the new guest next to me and came over two more times rushing her to finish with me. I was literally in the middle of drying my last coat when she started soaking her nails so I ended up having to wait until she was done to finish with me. It wasn't a long time, but it would've probably been another 3 minutes until I was done. I also thought it was really rude for him to rush my service to start on the next customer. This ultimately resulted in a not so great polish job. Both of my thumbs are partly matte while the rest is glossy. Like some of the polish got rubbed off? I have tiny bubbles in other nails... Once I got home - I noticed that some of my toe nails were cut crooked, but polish is good. Not sure what happened here as both women who did my services were nice, and seemed to be really careful, but I'm just disappointed overall and won't be returning. Notes: they use disposable liners for pedicures which is nice. They use the electronic filer to get some of the shellac off first. I don't like this method as they almost always go too far and it gets really hot. I understand it's faster, but maybe not go so deep? read more

I had a very poor shellac manicure here today. It was rushed, with poor hygiene and lack of attention to detail. The filing was done with a used file and the workmanship was shoddy. Let me start by saying my technician did a good job with the time she was allowed by the owner. I made an appointment for pedicure and basic manicure. Everything was very rushed and some parts were completely nonexistent. My services didn't come anywhere near the minimum stated on their services/price list. I understand it's difficult when shorthanded but may be better not to make too many appointments. This has been the case the last three visits. I paid full price for a very diluted pedicure. I still tipped my technician VERY well but I think it's time to move on. Extremely disappointing. Not recommended and I once loved this place. read more

The interior is nice. I went in to get shellac done for my cousin's wedding on Chinese New Year's since the one I usually go to was closed. I've had 5 cuticles cut off too much, not attractive for a wedding. The girl was filing my nail and ended up cutting me. She apologized which was nice but it's still a painful process. The shellac is a different story. I haven't had it for more than a few days and it's already chipping near the tip. I've got a funky air/water bubble at the base of my nail on few of my nails. My toenails are fine though. I had a different lady do them and she didn't cut me or anything. I'd recommend their pedicures, not their manicure. I will return to my regular salon. If I could I would get it fixed at my usual salon but unfortunately I'm out of country for the wedding. read more

Worst experience I have ever had. I went in yesterday for a walk in pedicure and lip wax. The lady was so rough with my pedicure that she made my big toe bleed while working on my cuticles. Today my toe is swollen and red and it hurts to walk on it. And she didn't even exfoliate my feet well! If you look at my picture you can also see polish on my skin The wax, she had no knowledge what she was doing. She put on the wax, put on the strips and ripped it off without holding my skin at all!!! That is basic wax 101 to hold the skin taut while ripping off the strip. I was in shock. I should have made a fuss but I was in shock. Hoping I don't have to go to the dr for my toe. I'm cleaning it like crazy and putting neosporin on it read more

Very clean & nice place. They have great xmas decorations up right now. I go every 2-3 weeks for an acrylic fill. They only have 2 techs who do them. Tom or Angel. Both do a great job but I prefer Angel. She actually did my nails at a different salon a while back. For a fill it's only $15 - great price. They have a decent section of colors, regular & shellac. Wish they did have more though. I don't like to have to buy my own color to bring in. Definately sticking with this place though. I have brittle nails & need the strength of the acrylic. I used to not like them since they looked bulky & unnatural. But Angel does a great job making them look like my natural nail. All other places either make them too long or too thick or too wide. read more

Enjoyed my experience here. It was clean, there was plenty of selection and staff were courteous. Getting my nails done isn't really my thing and I only do it a few times a year when my nails desperately need the help of a professional. I usually feel incredibly awkward and out of place but didn't feel that way here at all. I also really appreciated that all foot baths had the liner in them. It was nice not having to ask for that. Have been coming here for a while now since moving to Mukilteo. I've tried a lot of the places but have landed on Serenity as my favorite. It's clean, they even have the disposable tub covers, they sanitize the tools, they wear gloves for pedis. I've never had problems or felt like it wasn't sanitary. They always to a good job, making sure the gel isn't on my cuticle or skin, my manicures always last the 12-14 day mark. They are also open to me bringing in my Pinterest photos of designs. They also just have a lovely salon with a crystal chandeliers, relaxing music and art murals. It's a nice place to be. There is also the Starbucks on the same strip mall so it's nice to treat your self before you treat yo self. read more

I'm new to this state and this is the first salon I've been to in WA. I called prior and came in for a pedicure with gel polish and acrylic on my big toes, ( my usual every 2-3 weeks) and the total at this salon was $57 not including tip. I told the lady doing my pedicure the water was cold when she asked how it was and she did nothing about it, she didn't realize how cold it was until the last 5 minutes when she happened to feel the water while placing my foot back in and finally tuned the machine on.. I told her upfront I wanted my 2 large toes filled in with acrylic and after awhile of soaking in cold water she started using a metal tool to pry the acrylic I already had on off. At first I thought she was just clipping off lifting but when it started hurting badly I knew she was ripping them, I think I saw some blood in the corner so I had to tell her to stop. (Any good nail salon would only soak or file acrylic off anyway) They then charged me extra to apply acrylic back on the toe they ripped acrylic off of and the other toe too but they filed them down so short and uneven that the extra cost was pointless. They had me walk across the nail salon to the manicure area for Tom to apply the acrylic instead of him bringing his dappen dish etc to me at the pedicure station as every other salon in the past has done. He wanted me to put my feet on the manicure table top and I told him I thought that would be uncomfortable so I brought my chair beside him and put my feet on his lap. Tom is also the ONLY nail tech there who currently works with acrylic at all and it's been like that for a month according to him so I said thank goodness I didn't also want a manicure with designs and he said he doesn't do designs anyway then had me walk back to the pedicure station BAREFOOT for the lady to apply gel polish badly. I did notice there was much more visible dead skin left than usual and I believe it's because this salon only uses an exfoliating sponge with no actual foot files or callus remover gel and it didn't help that the water was cold for nearly the entire pedicure. The people were for the most part nice, but the quality is terrible, it took nearly 2 hrs and I'm confident there's more quality salons in the area. Would not recommend or go back unless there were serious changes made to this salon read more

This spa is right next to where I live and usually when I come here, they do a really good job. My most recent experience though was a little interesting. The woman giving me my pedicure talked to her coworker the whole time, and ended up messing up my shellac nails, causing them to fall off within a couple days. It's just a hit or miss with the person. They usually do a great job, but this time it wasn't that great. read more

While nail specialists in this establishment are awesome because they don't gossip in different languages about you, they did miss a small portion of my toe nail when painting it. They also commented on the amount of cuticles they had to cut out (which didn't make me feel that great). We walked in to the establishment and asked for 3 mani's and pedi's which they could not accommodate. They were able to squeeze us in for the pedi's but were not able to squeeze in our mani's.
