I was referred to Beto's by Monkey's Mufflers (close by) to install an anti-theft cage around my newly-installed catalytic converter after mine was stolen. They're normally quite busy but they got me in and out in under an hour -- they did an amazing job and were decently priced at $240 for everything including the cage and labor. Trust me, it's worth it to get the cage with the rampant theft happening - you'll end up paying more for another catalytic converter or your insurance deductible when it eventually gets stolen again. They were kind, explained everything to me, and let me under the car to see exactly what they did. Would've preferred OEM cats, but 2 aftermarket cats and the security deterrent, installed, cost me less than one OEM cat. The price included the O2 sensor the thieves cut off with it. I have been here multiple times and have never once been disappointed. I came to Beto's for a muffler delete, resonator deletes, and muffler re-attachments. Every time I went, he's provided me with excellent prices and finishes typically between 30-40 minutes. I recommend calling before going as they are usually quite busy. I recently visited Beto's Muffler Shop, and I must say, their service was outstanding! They quickly diagnosed the clogged muffler and efficiently checked the catalytic converter. The test drive after the repair ensured everything was in perfect order. I highly recommend Beto's for their expertise and top-notch service! A muffler shop you can trust! To go in detail, After an engine rebuild my car didnt have the power it used to have. Different mechanics kept on saying it was the catalytic converter and the cost would have been more than $4000 since there wasn't any aftermarket and the original part would go for over $3800+tax on the dealers website. However, Beto checked each catalytic converter, showed me how clean they are and that the issue must be from somewhere else. After each change he tested the car outside to see if the issue was resolved or no. Eventually he found out it was from the muffler tank and he replaced it with another one he had. We drove it it was fine and he told me he could either keep that on and charge me for it or take it off and there would be no charge! He had two customers ahead of me and he managed to finish their work in 20 minutes. Brought my car in and he placed it on his lift. Took him less than 10 minutes to weld the converter in place. Spoke with him and he said he gets several cars everyday with stolen converters. He recommended a security wire to wrap around the converter to stall or dissuade potential thieves. I really can't recommend these guys enough! Someone stole my catalytic converter overnight and I had no idea what that even was. I was recommended to Beto's by 5 Speed Motors (which was very nice of them) and called about bringing my car in ASAP. I thought I had to tow it but they assured me I could drive (I really know nothing about cars) and to bring it in anytime before 5pm. Because I needed my car for a trip tomorrow, they installed a temporary straight pipe literally as soon as I pulled up and finished in less than an hour! I didn't even have a set appointment. The reason I brought up that I know nothing about cars is that every time I go to a garage I know I could get ripped off pretty easily. I tried to google what it cost to replace a stolen catalytic converter with a straight pipe and the only info I saw was that it was maybe around $130. I would have been ok being charged under $200 because they took care of it so quickly, but it cost $90! I'm really grateful because I was worried about the time and cost, and it's a huge relief having my car working again so quickly.
