     variety of potted plants
    Andrea A.

What a great little find! This place popped up a couple times in my plant groups since "The Propagation Station" is a separate business inside Betsy's so I made my way over last weekend. The place is recently opened and I mean kudos to anyone who chosen to start a business during a pandemic. That takes some balls lol. But so the place is still pretty bare. The bagels themselves are okay but not the best. They have smoothies that looked really good and milk substitutions upon request. The coffee is self serve unless you want iced, which they'll make for you but I saw the lady come around to grab stuff for it at the self serve station so I think they just have some kinks to still work out. The guy (didn't catch his name) said he owns both businesses and was more knowledgeable about the plants. I was really impressed with the kinds they have available as they are not very easy to find normally. This made prices kind of all over the place. They also sell some terracotta pots too. I'm looking forward to seeing how this place evolves overtime. It's a great idea for a cafe/bagel shop. The stain glass above the entrance was really pretty and there's seating inside as well.

Usually my go to breakfast spot when I'm in the area. Coffee is great, Green Goddess smoothie is amazing, and the breakfast quesadilla are my go to choices! Keep up the great quality work its much appreciated :)

This review is based on the sandwiches…read more I have always passed by here and my friend suggested to try this spot out for lunch so I was open to it after seeing pictures of the hero sandwiches. The place is a grocery store that has a deli serving hot lunch and sandwiches. I have gotten the #2 (grilled chicken with smoked mozzarella, roasted peppers) and it was really good and fresh. My second visit I got the #1 since it came with fresh mozzarella with grilled chicken and sun dried tomatoes. This sandwich was solid as well and I believe they put olive oil with it. The bread was fresh and tasty especially since the olive oil soaked well into it. It's a good amount of food, I usually split it in half and have it for lunch and then dinner. I highly recommend Piccolo's if you're in the mood for fresh mozzarella sandwich. * Parking on premise * helpful service * variety of samples to try

So I checked the expiration date. Given that this is an Italian product the date comes before the month. These cookies expired in February 2026. I really hate wasting money. Boy, I gotta say I was not disappointed as soon as I walked in, I got a sense that I was definitely in the right spot. The look , feel & smell of it immediately brought me back to my cherished Jersey City roots. Everything on display looked fresh & inviting. The guy behind the counter (damn I don't recall his name) was super friendly & helpful in assisting me with my choices. Ordered the Godfather Sammy, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes & pulpo salad. Everything was delicious ! I travel will be back to NJ several times a year but I think I found my new "Go to spot" ! Just writing this review & thinking about my next trip up (in 3 days) has me salivating for another trip to this place. I will follow up this review with another very shortly to ensure that this wasn't just catching them on a good day but I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed. Stay tuned & I promise to include the counter guys name as he was Aces !

We had a terrible food experience this last Sunday. My boyfriend's father wanted the Sunday Special…read morewhich he hadn't had in years, but it sounded good to him. So we got that to go. When I was in there, I saw the stuffed bread. After a bit of a conversation about what was in them I opted to get two of them one with broccoli Rabe And one with mixed vegetable vegetables. Boy were we both unhappy with what we got. My boyfriend's father found his braciole and sauce to be so salty it was inedible. He likes food and he is rarely disappointed in an Italian meal. But he said it was so bad that he couldn't even eat it. He ended up throwing it away. I was equally disappointed. Maybe more so. There was no way that vegetable roll was made that day let alone any sooner than two days before. It was so stale. It was hard as a rock. And I hadn't even heated it up. I cut into it right after I brought it home. It also tasted stale. I ended up throwing it away too. Broccoli Rabe roll was a tad better. It wasn't hard as a rock. But it wasn't fresh either. It tasted meh. The only thing I was happy with are the prepackaged taralli. They were imported and were lovely. Go there for the prepackaged imported food products. Don't waste your money on the dicey homemade food experience.
