     variety of potted plants
    Andrea A.

What a great little find! This place popped up a couple times in my plant groups since "The Propagation Station" is a separate business inside Betsy's so I made my way over last weekend. The place is recently opened and I mean kudos to anyone who chosen to start a business during a pandemic. That takes some balls lol. But so the place is still pretty bare. The bagels themselves are okay but not the best. They have smoothies that looked really good and milk substitutions upon request. The coffee is self serve unless you want iced, which they'll make for you but I saw the lady come around to grab stuff for it at the self serve station so I think they just have some kinks to still work out. The guy (didn't catch his name) said he owns both businesses and was more knowledgeable about the plants. I was really impressed with the kinds they have available as they are not very easy to find normally. This made prices kind of all over the place. They also sell some terracotta pots too. I'm looking forward to seeing how this place evolves overtime. It's a great idea for a cafe/bagel shop. The stain glass above the entrance was really pretty and there's seating inside as well.

Usually my go to breakfast spot when I'm in the area. Coffee is great, Green Goddess smoothie is amazing, and the breakfast quesadilla are my go to choices! Keep up the great quality work its much appreciated :)

We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

The servers were nice and polite, but the overall service felt more friendly than genuinely warm or welcoming. I ordered the tonic, which definitely did wonders for my stomach, but I wasn't a big fan of the taste. It was a little too tangy and bitter for me. The chicken tasted similar to frozen breaded chicken tenders, and the waffles were pretty simple. Overall, the dish didn't really wow me. That said, it wasn't a bad place. The restaurant has a clean aesthetic and a cute atmosphere, so it may be worth checking out if you're in the area. It just wasn't quite my cup of tea.

Starvin Marvin was very subpar, the potatoes were deep fried and too tough, French toast was bad no taste (some burnt, some under cooked), syrup was standard store bought, over easy eggs were oily and for $21, this plate was a dissapoinment. The mangu slider was delicious, I guess it's their speciality in this place as most guests ordered this dish. We ordered two coffees, with cream and sugar but came without any spoon, so we used dining fork. No one offer the refill when the cups were empty (but they charge $4 for bottomless coffee), so you had to flag them. They have many staff working for the size of the place but they seemed to have very inexperience servers, despite they are nice and courteous. I am still eating, they cleared all other plates. My husband was drinking the coffee, they took away the saucer. I think they need to train the staff for better service especially your price is on the higher side for breakfast. The place is small but acceptable, they open the doors but wish they have better air circulating system if they decide not to use the ceiling fans or AC.

We ordered a classic sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll and this time, I also wanted to investigate their bagel game. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and it took just a few bites to remind this newly transplanted Southerner that bagels in the Northeast are in a league of their own. Food comes out fast. We both watched admiringly from our tables as the short order cooks moved like tornados at the grill, furiously beating bowl after bowl of eggs to fulfill the counter endless string of orders. That's another thing. During the whole half hour we dined at a table, things never quieted. As soon as a table cleared, someone else would grab it right away. Over the years, I've found that when in doubt, it's best to follow the crowds. On most Saturday mornings, it seems this is the place where all the crowds in Ridgefield Park are congregating. This breakfast spot is as local as it gets. As a lover of small business, I can't tell you secretly happy I get to see lines at the door here while the Dunkin Donuts across the street languishes.
