Was looking to buy a tiny space saving microwave and really wanted the Whirlpool brand .5 cubic sq ft corner compact microwave. It sells for about $180-$300 on the website and through retailers and I was definitely NOT gonna spend that much on such a tiny microwave, so I started browsing Facebook marketplace to find a cheap used one. When I first came across Daud's listing I was shocked! Brand new and only for $65?!?! It sounded too good to be true. I messaged him and he was super nice and very helpful with sending extra photos. I ended up picking it up the next day. When I arrived Daud showed me the the different colors of the microwaves on display, let me pick the one I wanted, and went to the side to grab me a nice new and fresh unit still in its box. The box was kinda beat up, but he took out the product for me to inspect and it was perfect! He assured me that all the parts were included and it even still had it's original factory warranty card. We checked out quickly, got my receipts and invoice printed, and was outta there in under 10 minutes. He was courteous and very efficient. He even carried out the microwave all the way to my car since he noticed I was there alone and the microwave was heavy. Overall, my experience was all positive! The microwave is perfect for my needs, brand new as advertised, and runs beautifully. I'm obsessed with it! I noticed a lot of bad reviews on google and yelp for this business but for my experience, Daud took care of everything professionally. Make sure to ask lots of clarifying questions and check warranty thoroughly. I made sure to register for warranty on Whirlpools website when I got home. I also chose to do pick up to avoid any delivery complications and the whole transaction went smoothly. Hopefully this microwave lasts me a long time! These guys are a scam They delivered a dishwasher use that leaked then they retrieved it. they said the dishwasher works fine when I had my home repair guy look at it with a flashlight showing me how it was leaking water when it was turned on. We have wood floors. So that's not a good situation On O4 July, the appliance company was suppose to issue me a refund and credit my card. Moreover, they were only gonna issue me a credit for the actual dishwasher. They were gonna keep 125 for dishwasher installation and delivery. That's absolutely ridiculous They ended up reversing their partial credit and cancelled it. so now I'm out several hundred dollars with these guys. S can you ask what is the name of the dishwasher appliance company with a better appliances or best? I wouldn't go there if they gave me free appliances. read more

Horrible business that scams clients, please do not buy anything from this place. We bought a washer dryer set from this place that broke the very first it was used. My entire basement was flooded with incredible floor damage. I tried to go back to them to replace the washer and dryer time and time again but they would never be available and always tell me to come back later. This carried on for months. I have lost thousands of dollars due to the floor damage and a broken washer dryer set as well. Moreover, the man who works in the front is extremely hostile and threatening. My husband and I had a horrible experience with this place. We bought a GE Cafe fridge from them, which worked fine in the store but somehow when we got home, the freezer completely stopped working. When we called to let them know, they asked us to call their repair service place but that was completely useless. We had to get someone from GE to come out and fix everything. When they came out, they let us know that the serial numbers had been scratched off everywhere, which was very suspicious. Also, the fridge was missing the freezer handles and some containers for the inside. The sales person told us he would order them and get them sent to us that week. We never saw those. How much should it cost if they sell you something that doesn't work? I bought a washer/dryer set. They delivered it to my garage because I wasn't home. When I set it up the dryer didn't heat up. There were other issues: both were too noisy, the dryer had a lot of dents on the top that I couldn't see in the store because they were displayed stacked. I paid what they asked plus a $75 delivery charge (even though they only dropped it at my garage). To return them cost me $150 (another $75 pick up charge, they wanted to charge me another 25 percent of the purchase price on top of the $150). Maybe the most shocking was the owner wasn't surprised they didn't work. He told me stories of other things he'd sold that didn't work and wanted me to feel bad for him because he said he wasn't making a profit. I'm fortunate. I can afford to lose $150 for this lesson. They sale cheap, damaged and open box items for cheap and promise a 4 month warranty. I bough all my kitchen appliances from them for a remodel, refrigerator, dishwasher, range, and microwave. They promise a 4 month warranty to repair or replace their products if they fail within 4 months. And now they are not standing behind their 4 month warranty when my dishwasher never worked immediately upon installation. Don't shop here! I bought a new lightly dented fridge that supposedly worked. When I plugged in the fridge it wouldn't cool past 67 degrees. I contacted the store and was told to use the warranty card. I attempted to register the product online under the warranty number but kept receiving an error stating, "The warranty serial number doesn't exist or has already been registered." If I could, I would give this place zero stars. I have never been so frustrated with this business! I purchased a French two door refrigerator, gave them my old refrigerator (which was still running). They DO NOT honor the 45 day policy, since within 3 days of purchasing the fridge, it broke. I had to throw everything away, which was a waste of food. Then I called them from the moment it broke down, with no answer. It would automatically go to "this voice mailbox is full, goodbye" and no one would answer nor would give me answers. When they did answer, they gave me false hope about coming and fixing the fridge. They did not come for three days, until someone finally came out after three days. Keep in mind, I bought this fridge from them and they said if there were any problems to contact them. How in the world am I supposed to contact them if they do not answer! After calling them and empty promises, we finally got a technician out, who unplugged it and left. Told us to replug it back in after 24 hours. Cool. Great. Until the same issue happened again after two days, I called, no answer. At this point, I was not going to waste my time. I called another technician, from another company. Even with the 45 day warranty, I had to call someone else in to come fix my fridge for another $400 dollars. This is getting a little ridiculous. I've ordered used appliances from SOMEONE called "Better Appliances" for over a decade. Usually they work adequately for used appliances, but I got a SBS fridge around 1 Sep and it stopped freezing about three weeks later. I don't want to be unfair, but now I'm being told by someone at Alexandria Better Appliances that they're not exactly the same company. They really shouldn't have the same name if they're "sort of" the same company but not really. I think Mr. Talal at the Alexandria store is going to close the loop with these guys and get me resolution in the form of a simple switch-out of another used 36" fridge. Worst experience ever. We bought a house with a new refrigerator from this store with a warranty and factory coverage. What a lie. No coverage no warranty the serial number was even scratched off so I wonder if it's stolen. Two weeks of no help so service promises to deliver a new refrigerator only to have it be a scratch and dented one that was smaller and didn't have an ice maker. Delivery scheduled for two days in a row. Never showed. Was to come back on Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving never called or showed. I have been going to Better Appliances since 2010. I need to give you a little back ground on me. I was a new home owner in 2010 and had no available credit. Maxed out with the purchase of my new house. So I went searching for a affordable washer and dryer. I found better appliances. I have purchased 1 dryer, 2 used washing machines and 1 "NEW" washing machine in the past 9 years from Abdul and Mohammed. I have purchased 1 used Fridge, a new range and a new dishwasher. The 2 used washing machine have lasted a total of 9 years. Not bad. I still have the dryer after 8 years. The used fridge works okay. It will not keep ice cream cold. I have to adjust the temperature to the freezer and fridge everyday. I Adjust to make colder, a few degrees. Some how it goes to a higher temp automatically. I'm not mad you get what you pay for. Now this year I went to the Better appliance to get a new stove and a new dishwasher. Just had my kitchen updated and needed a new stove and new dishwasher. I had used my debt card to pay for the items. 1300.00. 2 printed out receipts were taped on "MY" new stove and new dishwasher. I purchased these appliances 6 weeks before my kitchen would be finished. 1 week before the kitchen would be finished and I needed to set up delivery. My stove wasn't ready with the promised fixed door. The door was shattered. I was told it would be fixed. With the hefty discounted stove I agreed to a fixed door that was guaranteed to be ready by a 6 week out delivery date. NOT DONE... my dishwasher was just gone. Like gone. Mohammed did right his wrong. He gave me a huge upgraded range. I love this range! It's a 1400.00 range and I paid a fraction of the cost for it. My dishewasher was upgraded also to a very nice kitchen aid. Once again a fraction of the cost. I love these appliances. 2 months later I needed a washing machine. The washing machine that I had bought from them 5 years earlier had stopped draining water. So back to Better Appliances. I was told that I could get a brand new whirlpool washer for about 58.00 less then what it sells at Lowe's. It will be delivered today. I was like score!!! The first time I used the washer something wasn't right. A huge bang ever time you would run the washer machine. I let Mohammed know immediately of the problem with the Washer make a banging noise and was told to contact Whirlpool. I Paid whirlpool separately for a warranty and then scheduled their earliest visit. Whirlpool told me that this washer is about 2 years old. That the parts put in it are all wrong. Wrong everything and when I called Mohammed he told me that he will exchange it for me. I agreed to a upgrade/exchange and today I personally went to the store to check on the agreed washer. The upgraded washer for the bad washer that he sold me 1 month ago. The upgraded washer for the fact that I told him 1 day later, that it was not right. Who wants a washer that bangs loud when your washing clothes? Not me. Guess what the "exchange paper" was on a different washer. Not the one I agreed to accept. A washer that looks horrible. It's not new. I bought a large stainless steel brand new whirlpool washer for 58.00 less than Lowe's would sell it to me. I paid for a whirlpool warranty called, wasted my time with talking to Mohammed about which one I would accept. Only to have a "exchange paper" on a unknown washer. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I was told that they have 15 days to refund the money. Mohammed will not do what he wants to do with me anymore. I hope that your experience will be a good one with this company. It's has worked for me in the past but this last experience has drawn the line. I have been pushed to far. I have enjoyed supporting a local company, until I have been cheated. So big box retailers will get my money from now on. To Lowe's I go. read more

Starting out I thought this place was great. We found a decent stand up freezer for half of the price of a new one. They even delivered same day. Fast forward exactly 59 days later (conveniently less then 2 weeks longer then the warrenty) and I'm sitting outside with my newborn and animals as the firemen drag the freezer outside before it catches my house on fire. We call the company and were told that it couldn't have been the freezer that caused the fire! Well Prince William Fire Deptmant and an electrician disagree. I'm just glad my family was okay and we caught the fire before it was too late, and my husband had the sense to unplug it while we waited on the fire dept. I would never buy another product from them! My family's life is not worth the $300 savings and the company did nothing to make this right and went so far as to accuse my husband of lieing. read more

Terrible service. Bought a washer and it was scheduled to arrive at 2 but the installed didn't arrive until 9 pm! We ran a load but the washer wasn't working properly. We tried to contact Abdul (the man who sold us the washer) to let him know it was faulty and we need someone to repair it and he said that's impossible and he was going to trash this one and give us an older model "that's worth the same" (it's definitely not) Don't buy from this place, just go buy new you'll be giving money to hard working people, not lemon salesman. Being the first to comment on this business is shocking. Surprised they don't get more business. They specialise in restoring used appliances. I bought a washer dryer set and am very pleased. Same whirlpool set in over 1000 new. I got them for 350 with delivery and a 30 day warranty. Very pleased. Customer service is average. I was pleased with some workers and not so much with others. Some are just lazy, but I liked the laid back feel. Product selection is great if your looking for something functional, restored and looks ok. You won't find anything that is new. Everything is refurbished to work like it is new. They would receive a average 3 star review if it wasn't for the incredible price. I can't believe the low price. BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!! If I could it would receive 0 stars. We have been dealing with issue after issue with this "company". A month ago our refrigerator stopped blowing cool air and they brought us another one. The one they brought us was INFESTED with ROACHES!! They were in the seals, in the vents, and even in the ice machine. It took them a whole week to come out and replace their disgusting appliance. The delivery guys would say they were coming, we would take off work and wait and then they would NO SHOW. This happened a few times before they showed up with another refrigerator. The next refrigerator they brought us smelled horrible and wouldn't blow cold air. We called again, they sent a "technician" to "fix" the problem. He was in and out the house in 2 minutes and said the damper was just down. After he left, within five minutes the damper was back down. Our food had spoiled for the THIRD time. When we started taking everything out to have them pick it back up, we noticed there was BLACK MOLD in the ice maker. This is unacceptable and we should have read the reviews before going with this "company". We are still waiting for them to pick the refrigerator up. They have told us twice in a row they are coming and then don't show up. One of the delivery drivers actually put one of our phones on the block list (we noticed when we called from another line). I hope nobody else falls into their trap of scamming people. I am also reaching out to the media. This "company" needs to be stopped. Prices and delivery very reasonable. It was a great shop-at-home experience and the appliance arrived the next day! The installers were courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. Once it was delivered 4 days later than they promised, and plugged in, the ice maker didn't work. The fridge part works but item is not as was advertised in store and online. I contacted the store right away and just got lots of excuses. The manager/owner said he was not there when I bought it therefore he was not responsible for anything that was said or promised by his employees. This place was the worst! First we waited all day for them to come in the four hour window that they promised. Then we got a call after we waited saying they couldn't come because their delivery guy didn't show up. They never called back to confirm a new time. I had to call them several times to confirm a new time. Then they were 2 hours late to their new 4 hour window for the new time. Once the washer and dryer was installed the washer didn't work. They had to fix it. Now we've only had the until 2 weeks and the dryer isn't working. I would never recommend this place. I'm a renter so I don't know how much my landlord paid for the unit. Bought a refrigerator from here with a two-month warranty. After using the refrigerator for about three months it started making a lot of noise, it sounded like it was about to explode at one point. We unplugged it, a few hours later plugged it back in and it made some noise but not like before. A few days later it just stopped working. Is as these appliances are fixed and sold only to last for about three months and of course since the warranty is only for two months you won't be getting a penny back. I called this business and there is nothing they can do for me other than contact a technician, which of course I would have to pay for. Since it would most likely be the same technician that fixed this refrigerator to only make it work for about three months I rather keep my money and just buy a new one, like I should have done to begin with.
