I was so very excited for this place however, it was subpar. The truffle fries lacked seasoning and so did the curry soup. I had to add my own seasoning. The sandwich was pretty good... 3/5. somewhat disappointed for how much I spent. hopefully they will implement more flavor moving forward. the shop itself was cute and the front lady was awesome.

Top: Southwestern Mac and Cheese(boyfriend enjoyed it.) Bottom: Poutine w/ Curly Steak Fries. The Mac and Cheese was good. It's was Mac and Cheese and it had a kick to it which was nice. I liked the penne for the pasta choice. Now let's talk about the Poutine. It was the special for the day(Poutine Fri-yay). You got CURLY STEAK FRIES as your base then smothered in this glorious mushroom gravy, topped with cheese curds(not fried which is best for optimal melting) & then since it's the daily special you can add a special topping for free(choices are: bacon, grilled or fried chicken, or avocado), I choose bacon. $8.50 for each in the container you see. The staff is sweet as pie. The menu literally has something for everyone on it. Will definitely be back.

Stopped on our way to Portland. Ordered the Poutine and Tachos. My son ordered the zinged sandwich. I really didn't care for the gravy on the Poutine. It was pretty bland. The tachos were okay but there was no spice to the pico de gallo. And I didn't like the fry sauce on the tachos. My son enjoyed the bread used for the sandwich The server was very nice and attentive.

I got the tatchos with added bacon and a strawberry lemonade. The totchos were really good! Not a lot of toppings but the sauce made up for it. The lemonade I would probably pass next time. Not sure if the totchos just overpowered the lemonade but I could barely taste anything. Tastes kinda like water

No burgers on the menu anymore! Food was good enough though. One of the songs they pumped through the dining area was a dude just repeating "f*** that" over and over again. Wasn't thrilled, as I was there with my 5 year old daughter.

Seriously underrated spot in Salem. Really good food and nice staff. If you haven't been here before then you should check it out!

Both were great, but I'd give a slight nod to the original. The one buried in powdered sugar helps keep the texture of the Beignet. The Pickle Gambit - super thinly lengthwise sliced pickles in a light batter. Comes with chipotle aioli and ranch. Good portion size. One of the best fried pickles I've ever had. Ned's 5-Alarm Chicken - really good crust and very flavorful. One regret is we didn't go waffles with this. Lemon Poppyseed Slaw - tastes like a classic slaw. A little sweet and creamy. Goes really well with the heavier dishes that we got. The Shrimp Incident - small shrimp and sliced sausage with a Cajun cream sauce and crostini. We thought this was ok Country Mac - my favorite part was the fried chicken as it was very tender and flavorful. The shell shaped pasta was cooked al dente - it was firmer than I would like partly due to the pasta being on the thick side. The Mac is Cajun forward and not very cheesy. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our meal, but it was definitely on the heavier side and could have used something to balance it out.

We had two Piroshky meals, Philly and chicken pesto. The dough is exquisite, and the filling has me questioning my own ability to season the food I make correctly. Eastern Europeans know how to season chicken to another level. We got a third Piroshky to take home, but it didn't make it. We ate that as well. And finished everything off with a Beautifully named passion flakes pastry. Puff pastry with whipped cream and blackberries. We left with several pounds of frozen pelmeni and stuffed cabbage. It's a family run place. And we really appreciate them for being so kind and accommodating to our little dog. These are great people. Update: We had some of the stuffed cabbages tonight, and now we are going to have to make this trip more often. They are excellent. They are smaller than the stuffed cabbages I am used to, but I am now converted to the smaller ones. They just cook easier and work better this way. Second update: We purchased 3 pounds of pelmeni and had some the other night. The beef and chicken. The bags are great and resealable. They are every bit as good as Kachka. We will definitely buy more, and I can't wait to try the salmon next. Thank you, Pierogi Place, for an outstanding experience.

The restaurant is a literal house and while charming it is small and packed inside and the parking lot is also really small so you may need to get there early or expect to park somewhere else in the streets.
