I had a friend that introduced me to the "yumm sauce" a year ago and I would have her bring me bottles of it when she went to the Corvallis Cafe Yumm. So when I heard they were coming to Salem I couldn't wait to try an actual Yumm bowl. I tried the original Yumm bowl and liked it so much that I get one once a week and make them at home with the yumm sauce. It leans toward the healthier side of things with the brown rice, black beans, sauce, cheese, tomatoes, olives, avocado, cilantro, salsa and a tiny bit of sour cream. It's amazingly delicious. I buy the Yumm sauce and use as a dip, add it to chili and make home made yumm bowls. My daughter likes the Jazzy one. It has a white rice, brown beans, and same toppings except instead of tomato salsa they put on a jalapeño salsa. That salsa is also for sale, so I keep that on hand as well. I have tried their vegetarian ginger burger and it is delicious too. Another favorite is the Tempeh skewer that is made with a teriyaki sauce. You can have tempeh, tofu or chicken added to your bowl if you wish. My daughter likes the tofu. If you haven't tried it you definitely don't want to miss out much longer. There are many more things in the menu to try as well but it's hard when the ones you try are so good you want them again. They have a drive through too! read more
