I LOVE cafe yumm. The ingredients are always fresh, including perfect avocado every single time. The sauce is tangy, unique, and vibrant. The meal is remarkably filling given the low fat and protein content. Any bowl can be customized in any way, crucially, including swapping brown rice for white (what can I say, brown rice tastes like dirt to me). The only downside to cafe yumm, typically, is the price. $15 for a medium bowl with protein (the smallest portion you can expect to constitute a full meal) is steep. Steep, but managable. Worth it for a treat, not for an every day meal. "But Ethan," you ask, "why only 3 stars?" Well, it's this location in particular. The Candelaria Crossing Yumm has the most astonishingly skimpy portions of any Yumm location I've visited. This compounds the price issue nearly to the breaking point. The flavor is still there, the delightful service is still there, but paying $15 for half a counter-serve meal just won't cut it. read more

I purchased a chicken bento to go as this was my first time visiting a Cafe Yumm and got home to find hardly any chicken in the container. Literally 25% of what I was expecting and the meal was $11. The only good thing I can say is the young lady who answered the phone was willing to give me more if I went back, but as I told her --- I will never be back. I can not recall a time where I was more disappointed in an establishment. I hope that young lady finds a new place to work because she was much classier than Cafe Yumm deserves. read more

First time ever and had the Southwest Bowl. It was and will be back! Super fresh ingredients, even the sliced avocado.

Food was ok, the bowl we ordered was ok, the chicken on top of it was cold...service was good, ambience was ok...they had the air conditioning on and it was freezing and blowing on us even though we switched tables. I'll find somewhere else to go for healthy food. read more

Just had lunch at Cafe Yumm today and had to comment on the friendly employees. The young man that helped us had a great smile and kind spirit. Nice to see when you hear so much negativity about the youth. All of the employees genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. Very refreshing. And the jazzy bowls are awesome too. read more

Updated review. After my initial bad experience and Very Bad Review, I got a call from management wanting to make it right. They did. I am grateful that management is so responsive to bad reviews and is willing to stand by their restaurant to make sure they have satisfied customers. I'm getting pretty goddam tired of getting my food home and finding the bowl completely wrong. I order a Chilean zucchini, half rice, with extra chilean zucchini. Three times now they've messed it up, and today, they completely forgot to add yum sauce. That's kind of their thing, right? How do you forget it?!?!? read more

I am rating Cafe Yumm for how they deliver to me by Door Dash. First off, I really want to like this place. The food is healthy and fresh. I always find myself enjoying the food and flavors until I reach a pocket of Yumm sauce and gently gag. Please let us pick a different salad dressing for our bowls. I don't want nutritional yeast in my southwest rice bowl! (Or olives, for that matter, but let's not be picky). Edit: the owner left a note on my review telling me that I could have customized my order. Not true. Cafe Yumm has configured DoorDash to disallow customization. We stopped going to all their locations and returned about 6mos later, everything was accurate. On very rare occasion their beans will be a little hard for my taste but it's happened twice in the span of a year. All of their employees now at the commercial location are wonderful and my order has not been wrong again. We continue to return almost any time we choose to eat "fast food". Yea...I've given them two shots at a memorable experience. Portions are not comparable to others for the price. That's the most noticeable element. The food quality, while not bad, is not full of flavor. I eat everything and love mild to spicy. I can enjoy Brussel sprouts to sardines. Picky I am not. One of my favorite places to grab a bite when I'm on the go or in a hurry, the Keizer station location has a drive through which is great especially during this pandemic. I would recommend more training in customer service for the employees or finding employees that enjoy their job. A short girl helped me and she was less than friendly, unprofessional, and also commented on my food choices as well. The only reason that this is receiving two stars and not one if because the food was good and the person who gave me my food was pleasant. While the drive thru takes a little while if there is a line, it's always worth it. They have very friendly service every time I come. So many varieties of wraps & bowls to choose from, and a great sample size cup if you're uncertain. They even sell their yumm sauces. I recommend the hot and jazzy or my favorite yumm baby wrap it! read more

This restaurant has gluten free rice bowls. I like the bowls from here and I always feel good after eating it. The original bowl is the most basic, and it's my favorite. The bowl with seaweed isn't my favorite but I might just not like seaweed. read more

I love their food & Im glad they have a south Salem location. Staff is friendly. The big downside is that they aren't consistent. Almost every time I eat there, there's something wrong with my order. Last time there was no rice added. The time before that they didn't put the yumm sauce in. Time before that they gave me chicken instead of tofu. I do eat meat, but I would imagine this would have been even more frustrating for someone who doesn't eat meat at all. I get mistakes happen, but they happen 9 times out of 10 here. If the attention to detail was greater, they would easily get 5 stars. read more
