Yum yum yum!!! we just flew in to Portland and we're headed to Tillamook, but we were starving and found this place. Really glad we did. Cute little place friendly service, but wow, the food. I ordered the two amount which came with home fries and my husband the cheeseburger. OK, it's hard to get excited over a tuna melt, but this was really good! Toasty sourdough bread and a yummy sauce with just the right amino of melts cheese. His burger was juicy, flavorful and cooks just right. The hand cut fries and dipping sauce we a hit as well. Hoping to stop by in a few days in our way back to the airport to try the special grilled cheese I saw AFTER I had already ordered

LISTEN. Now, it's been a minute since I've nodded to naughty language but I have no self-control…read morewhen I speak about the Screamin' Chicken Diner... IT'S SO F***ING GOOD! HOLY CRAP BALLS! After a morning in the mounts visitng wineries, we were hungry. Borderline hangry, but for sure starving. A friend that was with said "I think there's a little cafe down in Gaston, let's check it out!" and we did! First, when you walk in, you're greeted warmly and they got us seated quickly. Menus were provided and then we heard the magic words... "What can I get you guys? Coffee? Water? Tea? A beer? A glass of wine?" A WHAT? Ma'am! It is 11:00 AM. Did you just offer me BEER and WINE? Yes, yes she did. And yes, yes we accepted. So let's pause. If you've not thrown back a glass of white wine with eggs, you're missing out. Seriously, rethink your life and try it. You're welcome. This is adulthood and how we survive it. We order. Annie's Delight, Scrambled-Egg Breakfast, Chicken Fried Chicken, and a 2-Egg Breakfast. When I say holy-crap-ton-of-food, know I'm not joking. We literaly ran out of table there was so much food. Now we all know that myself and my crew have a healthy appetite but good lawd havemercy... never have I ever... the food was stupid. Just supid good. Ridiculous. Each bite it got better. Burned the crap out of my mouth but the wine healed it quickly. $25 for the biggest breakfast I've ever had and a huge glass of wine. Seriously, you can't beat that with a pole. The service was awesome... the coffee that accompanied the wine and water never ran dry and was refilled to maintain being piping hot the entire visit. The ambiance is kitschy and perfect. The staff are locals who obviously take great pride in their little Cafe and they SHOULD! They have worked hard to own the pride in there little gem in the heart of Gaston. Can't wait to go back. I've swept all the brunch places in all of Portland trying to find anyone who can do a solid Chicken Fried Chicken that well... needless to say, I've failed. Give the Screamin' Chicken a chance... you'll thank me later!

I received one of the biggest prices of chicken I have ever even! The food is just like grandma used to make. Delicious and giant servings. By the way, always get the biscuit for a side. The waitress was awesome, told us stories of how the chose the biscuits and was quick with refills.

Another Fabulous Breakfast at The Diner in McMinnville…read moreRating: We had another wonderful breakfast at The Diner in McMinnville. Our party of 4.5 was lucky to snag a spot on a typically busy Saturday morning; we must have hit the "sweet spot" because we arrived just before the line formed. A typical wait is 20-30 minutes for a table on weekends, but the food and service make it well worth it. We were greeted and seated quickly, and I really appreciated being offered a choice of seating. We opted for a booth, which worked perfectly for our little one in a booster seat. What made the visit truly special was the owner playing peek-a-boo with my grandson--such a sweet, personal touch that shows how much they care about their guests! The Diner is well-known for its boozy breakfast options. Our table enjoyed a Bloody Mary, Boozy Mimosas, and a Tequila Sunrise. All the drinks arrived quickly and were enjoyed tremendously. For the main course, we ordered: Breakfast Sandwich: Served on a soft, fluffy muffin with bacon and a perfectly cooked egg. Pork Chili Verde (Special): Served over cheddar grits with fresh salsa, crème fraîche, and crispy tortilla chips. Absolutely INCREDIBLE! Chicken Fried Steak: A family favorite that resulted in a "clean plate" as usual. Crispy Chicken Club Sandwich: Another lovely, solid meal. Another fantastic visit with great food and even better service. We will definitely be back!

While I've yet to try the…read morenamesake pierogi, The Pierogi Place's pirozhki and pelmeni both shocked me with their quality and value for money. I got a chicken pirozhki which had pastry that was flaky and rich but not greasy, and a surprisingly hearty filling of chicken, garlic, white sauce, green onion, and tomato. If you'll forgive the somewhat crass comparison, it was like a Kirkland chicken bake, refined with delicate care into a very gourmet dish. The staff were great, a very positive experience. For counter serve, it was very slow (maybe 10 minutes from ordering to eating) but the shop is located in a little market / event venue so there was plenty to explore while we waited. The real stand out, though, is the pelmeni. Available as a dish or to take home frozen in 3 or 5 pound bags, these little beef or chicken dumplings are perfectly spiced and seasoned. I got a 3 pound bag of the beef and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Prepared as they do in the store, with some sour cream, the pelmeni are a sumptuous meal. The tangy sour cream contrasts the savory meat and accents the subtle spices. I wasn't the only one drooling over the dumplings, either - my puppy, on smelling the beef, had to be locked in the other room to keep him from trying to steal the bowl.

We are glad it was the Newbergundian Bistro. We had to start with a Croissant. It was very flavorful, but it was bit soft, not the perfect crunch that we love. The fresh squeezed grapefruit juice made an excellent greyhound. The Bistro had my favorite...Escargot as a special. WOW. So good. We then shared the Potato Croquettes. The accompanying fondue was so good to dip the Croquettes into. We finished with a Ham and Brie Sandwich that was excellent, accompanied by crisp and hot french fries. My wife had the Grilled Five Cheese Sandwich with Mixed Greens. She loved it. Traci was terrific and helped us throughout the meal.

I tried the grilled cheese which my sister got too - yummy, but there's a sticky cheese on there that I didn't love. Greens that came with all items were weird. Didn't eat them - don't know what they were.
