We stopped for a quick breakfast on our way back to Idaho from Glacier. Our waiter--Betty (all the help had name tags with Betty) was exceptional. He checked with us often enough to make sure we had what we needed but not intrusive. I had the eggs and meat (bacon) breakfast with hash browns. I got 5 pieces of bacon cooked crispy, which is how it should be. Delicious. The men ordered pancakes which were very generous but tough. They both had to use their knives with diligence to get through them. We were in and out in about 40 minutes, which made us happy. read more

What a quaint place! The food was good (hubby had the half stack pancakes and eggs and I had the "Betty's favorite" Chef Salad. The meat was definitely not from a bag. I don't think we'll be going back to Betty's even though we are here in town for the summer. All of the other choices seem to be better choices. I have been in twice now, and I have had an excellent meal each time. The burgers are fantastic onion rings crispy. My friends also enjoyed there meals immensely. I haven't had a breakfast this bad in a long time. The cook here should be fired because he can't even make scrambled eggs without ****ing it up. I ordered bacon and eggs, bacon crisp and eggs scrambled with home fries and sourdough toast. I waited 30 minutes for my breakfast which consisted of white toast, 1/2 crisp 1/2 soggy bacon, home fries that were crispy on one side but otherwise unseasoned and undercooked, and very browned (overcooked) eggs. I ate the bacon while waiting for a waitress to come by so I could ask for either a replacement or for the food to be taken off the bill, it was almost 10 minutes later when she finally came around. When I told her about the eggs she told me I ordered them wrong and should've asked for scrambled eggs over easy (what?). She took the coffee off my tab but I left hungry because I couldn't eat the eggs or potatoes and ended up only having 3 pieces of bacon and 1 piece of toast with my coffee. We were here last November 2016. We ate here as we were staying right next-door. I remember thinking that the food was good and service was great. So we returned today on our current visit. I don't know if it is the difference in cooks or what. Today there was a female cooking. The omelette was small, and pale. Like they water down the eggs or use really cheap ones. I've never seen an omelette that pale. The hashbrowns were under done and grilled cheese sandwich was average. If you order a side salad you get a big pile of lettuce one chunk of tomato and one slice of cucumber. It was not a long wait because we got there before the rush and our server was very nice.. Such a fun place with awesome burgers! I had the most unique burger topping on my "Breezy" burger: a Cajun spiced burger with roasted chili, sautéed sweet peppers, tomato, and sautéed spinach. This place was recommended to me by a nice lady at a farm stand down the road. I'm glad I took her advice. I sat at the counter since I was dining alone and the service was quick and friendly. I had a Hawaiian themed burger which was delicious and cooked to perfection. I also got sweet potato fries which did not result in an up-charge like back here in Northern Virginia. We stopped here on our way home from Idaho. The view of Flathead Lake just across the street is incredible. The staff was friendly, the décor, retro kitch and the menu is pretty big for this being such a small place. It's in a building that is combined with a pizza place and a little casino (it seems a lot of places in Montana have these mini casinos in them) so you get wiffs of pizza from time to time. Its not bad, just sort of makes it hard to decide, "Do I want pizza or Betty's?" I ordered the Kona Burger which turned out to be great. My partner ordered the French Dip and said it was really good too. I wish we would have had time to stay in the town so we could have had breakfast the next morning there on the outside deck.
