    Happened upon Ruiz Shoe Repair by accident and asked if they could repair a jacket sleeve snap that…read morewas faulty from the start. Though it's not at the core of what he typically does Mike was more than happy to solve this longstanding problem for us. We picked the jacket up a couple days later and it was perfect as it should have been from the start. I had tried a half dozen other tailors and shoe repair shops and no one was able or willing to help. And to top it all off Mike didn't even want to charge anything other than to see a smile on our faces, which he got in triplicate! I will highly recommend Ruiz Shoe Repair to friends and family from now on and will return myself for shoe repair and customization, speaking of which I see that he does custom orthotic fitments and I will go back soon for this since it makes such a huge difference in life to have perfectly fitting shoes. A++++++!

    I would leave 0/5 if I could. Ruiz Shoe Repair is a UHaul partner, so you can rent vans through…read morethem instead of UHaul directly. Upon rental, they did not tell me how much I would be charged-- online I was quoted a little over $100, but they charged me $406 UPFRONT without disclosing that. It was a Sunday and this was the only place open in the area so I proceeded. I asked if I would receive a partial refund, after looking at the receipt, as I was charged $200 in advance for 200 miles, even though I didn't plan on even driving 100 miles. I believe the gentleman said his name was MIKE and he said it was a temporary hold, not a real charge. FALSE- I later found out the charge was posted and UHaul is refunding me about $85. I called today to inquire about said refund and the man on the phone immediately started yelling at me, screaming that I was charged a $25 cleaning fee. I kept trying to tell him I wasn't trying to dispute the cleaning fee, I understood the cleaning fee as I dropped a container of cat litter and was able to clean most of it out of the front but I didn't have a broom. He wouldn't let me talk, even after I kept asking him to please let me speak and ask my question. When he did let me speak, he would immediately interrupt me again. He then HUNG UP ON ME, and when I immediately called back, he lied and said his phone died.. He continued to yell at me and said to call UHaul's 1-800 number and not him, and I informed him on my UHaul receipt it said to call him, so I called. He tried to lie about his name and say his name was JOSE, but he said on Sunday his name started with an M. Horrible customer service overall, I genuinely have ever in my life experienced anything like that in my life. A complaint has been filed with UHaul and you will be dealt with accordingly. You should not be working in ANY business that is customer facing with that sort of behavior. Truly erratic and scary, I would not recommend business with them EVER.
