Like prior reviews our biggest complaint about this car buying experience was the lack of transparency in the listed price. When it came down to discussing price there were additional fees to the tune of almost $2600 and when we inquired as to the breakdown of these fees we were told the internet price is never the price. When we initially started discussing we knew about the $1995 for the Factory Certified rating plus the always bs dealer fee of $898.50. But when the sales agent sat down with us the fees were $3995 and when asked for a breakdown were told it included the Factory Certified rating as well as the trim package, which we never asked for. Immediately we said that needed to be adjusted to $1995, which we were told, which they did, but then you are no longer in a position to negotiate on price. Meeting with the Finance Department was less fun for sure. High Pressure to purchase additional coverage offered thru Kia with very little explanation of exactly what the coverages include and how they may or may not overlap with the existing factory coverage, which seeing the vehicle had 16,540 miles and factory coverage is 6 year / 60,000 miles. As soon as we declined the additional coverage the demeanor instantly changed and there was an effort to guilt us into buying by making us feel like we are in the 5% of customers who don't see value in the additional coverage. We did agree to add the additional coverage for Tire and Oil change which totaled $2100 over the life of the coverage or $30 additional a month, only to find out after being given the thumb drive with all our documents that we were already charged $886 for Road Side Hazard (which covers tires) through Fidelity Warranty the same insurer we agreed to add the additional coverage in the way of Maintenance Agreement which included tire replacement and oil changes. So, in hindsight we may see value of possibly $1500 for oil changes if they truly honor the agreement, but the tire protection we already had through the Road Hazard coverage nobody bothered to explain because they were to focused on selling additional that really is not needed and not worth the price. This is just our opinion yes but supported by plenty of other analyses easily found on the internet. So, the lesson I learned is I will never buy another vehicle in a dealership ever again!!! High Pressure sales and lack of visibility on pricing and minimal support after you have signed is disappointing. The jury is out how our experience will be going forward, we just hope Bev Smith actually honors what they say and provides the customer service they claim to. Advice for future customers. Look everything over closely and be prepared once you sit with the finance department you will be pressured into purchasing coverage you may not need and ask a lot of questions. I asked on two occasions what the interest rate would be and was told you both are Tier 1 so you should get a solid rate of 6.5%-7%. In the end we were never told any details and only realized our rate was 8.2% and financed through Kia when were picked up the vehicle and finally given the thumb drive with all our documents. You will be reviewing the documents on a desk sized tablet, so it is difficult to review like paper contracts and there of course is the pressure to sign quickly. Call ahead and inquire about the price and ask directly about the hidden fees that get tacked on, so you will be more prepared!

Pros: none Cons: horrible engines, transmissions, and electronics. As a customer you are buying fecal matter covered in garbage, in a very pretty wrapping, and called innovative. As a technician I recorded and observed severe lack of safety, communication, documentation, organization, and commitment. Fraudulent agreement of pay were frequent.

This tire is 6 month old. Kia is a shit company!

Advance Auto Repair & Transmission - Please Read Before Trusting This Shop With Your Transmission…read more I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after dealing with this issue from November 2024 through 2026, I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before spending thousands of dollars here. In November 2024, I brought my vehicle to Advance Auto Repair & Transmission because my transmission was slipping. After speaking with the owner, Frank, I paid $3,991 on 11/2/2024 to have my transmission rebuilt. About a week after getting my car back, I noticed transmission fluid leaking and had to return the vehicle for repairs. They corrected the leak, but approximately three months later, the transmission began slipping again. I brought the car back, and Frank repaired it without issue. However, shortly afterward, the torque converter (which is part of the transmission system) failed. The torque converter was replaced multiple times because, according to Frank, the parts supplier kept sending defective parts. Eventually, he ordered the part directly from the dealership. Unfortunately, after the replacement, the transmission slipping returned again. I continued reporting the issue, but every time we test drove the vehicle together, the problem would not happen while Frank was present but did happen when one of his employees test drove it with me for about 30 minutes and he cleaned a certain part that he thought would fix the problem, which it didn't. When I brought it back and told frank his employee noticed the slippage, we asked him but now he state he doesn't remember. Are you serious. What kind of shop is this. So frank again told me he believed I was "paranoid" and insisted the transmission was fine. Instead of fully resolving the issue, he extended my transmission warranty as a "courtesy." However, my concern was never about extending the warranty -- it was about properly fixing the transmission while it was still under warranty. I continued driving the car despite the slipping because I had already invested nearly $4,000 into the repair. Over the course of 2024 into 2026, I repeatedly brought the vehicle back regarding the same issue. Throughout this entire process, I remained patient and respectful, despite the ongoing frustration. My final visit was especially disappointing. After waiting for Frank to return from a test drive, he walked into the office laughing. I told him I did not understand what was funny because this situation has cost me thousands of dollars and years of inconvenience. Once again, he dismissed my concerns and told me the transmission was fine and that I was simply paranoid after we test drove it for only about 5 minutes. What makes this even more frustrating is that multiple passengers who rode in my car independently noticed the transmission slipping without me mentioning anything to them beforehand. Clearly, I am not imagining the issue. Before I left, Frank informed me that my warranty had expired, despite the fact that the original transmission problem was never permanently resolved while the warranty was active. Advance Auto Repair & Transmission advertises "100% guaranteed work," but based on my experience, I do not feel that promise was honored. After paying nearly $4,000 , which I'm still paying on and spending over a year returning to the shop for the same unresolved issue, my transmission is still slipping. Frank got paid, I still do not have a properly repaired transmission and I'm out of $4000.
