I just had my 9-year-old daughter's ears pierced at Bevel, and I hesitate to even say how impressed I was, because it will sound like I'm exaggerating. But these folks exceeded not just my expectations, but my hopes, in every possible way. First of all, we are a low-income family, but I didn't want to go to a mall-based option, so I was researching price options. Bevel was actually one of the best prices for a minor, if not the best I found. I also called ahead of time to ask about their cheaper jewelry options. Even though it's a pretty swanky place, the person I talked to was not only understanding, but enthusiastic about making sure I had the info I needed. There was no hint of just being "tolerated" even though I wasn't going to give them much money. And they really do have an extensive selection of LOVELY jewelry at the lower end of their price range that suit a variety of tastes. Second of all, our family is at high risk for covid, so we still mask in public spaces. Nate was our piercer, and he took the initiative to offer to mask for us when we saw were wearing masks. That means a lot to us, and the proactive attention and care says a lot about the attitude he brings to the place. I was a bit nervous for my daughter, because she is highly sensitive in pretty much every way, including to pain. Nate was spectacular. Not only did he talk her through every step ahead of time (including a discussion of consent, where he ensured her that she could say at any moment that she needed a break or some space), but he was encouraging and fun in a natural way--not in the overly cheery way some folks interact with kids. She commented after we got home about how nice he was. As I had expected, she experienced the piercing as fairly painful, and Nate was absolutely perfect. In between ears, he did not push AT ALL to move on to the second ear, even though I'm sure we were taking quite a bit of his time. He gave her space to calm and prepare, encouraged her to let out the tears she had forming, and affirmed how well she was doing. He even offered to send us home with some saline wipes that feel cool on the pierced area and help soothe some of the pain, which really did help my daughter for the next couple hours. I honestly have tears in my eyes writing this. The piercings also look great, of course, but a lot of people can do a good piercing. The way we were treated from start to finish--especially the genuine care offered to my kiddo--was what really stood out, and I truly can't recommend these folks enough. read more

I like to come here for jewelry change outs and downsizing as they have more affordable service pricing compared to a lot of other body shops. The interior design is also hard to ignore in that it has been expertly crafted to exude a luxury kind of vibe with an edge of mood and coziness that feels inviting. It certainly helps pull together their space to give a very professional and hygienic feel that you want from places like this. They also offer free parking behind their space which is greatly appreciated so you can skip the paid street meters. I have been here twice, the first time was amazing- I have never left an establishment and started texting people about it faster than I have at Bevel. I wanted to swap my nose stud out for a hoop, having no idea what I was doing I figured I would let the pros handle it. My piercer was so friendly and personable. He explained everything he was doing before doing it, asked if he could touch me, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time- whoever he was (I missed the name) was a 12/10. The second visit I wanted to go from a hoop back to the stud- having no idea how to remove the hoop I again let the professional handle it. This time I had a different employee who I believe has a guest spot. He was nice, but just kinda grabbed ahold of my nose, no explanation, no ask to touch (not that these are super important to me personally but it's just so different). No sanitation of my nose...just different. Had that been my first visit I wouldn't have thought anything of it- but because I had such an amazing first visit I was a little bummed. I'll still go back, I love the shop and the energy- everyone is welcoming and there's no judgement which is a 10/10. read more

I've been obsessed with Tik Tok videos about jewelry styling and finally decided to book an appointment at Bevel with Kelsie. Spoiler alert: Kelsie is SO cool. I was basically chomping at the bit waiting for my appointment and had no idea what to expect. When I finally got in the door, I noticed immediately that the interior was filled with natural light. It was beautiful, clean, and comfortable which are musts for me in a piercing setting. Kelsie came out to meet me and I could feel the warm energy she carries! She introduced herself, took photos of my ears, and asked about my inspiration and what I was looking to get done. Initially, I was under the impression that the piercers style your ears for you and give you the design to approve. Kelsie explained that the process is really led by the individual and that she would help along the way to analyze existing jewelry, recommend pieces, and make suggestions. I recognized that there were more decisions involved than I had planned for, so we chose two pieces to replace to start and I left with a new conch piercing to heal prior to my next appointment. I loved the flexibility and that you can really make the appointment about whatever you want. I have my Pinterest board prepped in advance for next time and can actually envision what I want to do with my ears. Piercings and jewelry can be expensive - but I haven't found another company I'd feel comfortable going on this journey with. This was my 3rd time at bevel, but first time for myself. I've gone with friends here to get piercings twice in the past, and was so impressed with their team and the experience that I knew I'd have to come in when I was ready to swap my nose piercing stud for a ring. Cole took great care of me, their team at the desk was so kind. Far and above what I will tell EVERYBODY about this place is how meaningful it is that they ask 'can I touch your [piercing spot] before doing so, and walk you through the whole process of what they're doing, and what you'll feel. I've seen piercers (both personally as I was being pierced and tagging along with friends to piercings) at other places not do these things, and it makes a big difference. I'm sure it becomes second nature to just get to work when you're doing however many piercings a day, but just like in healthcare, people are a major factor in the service itself. This is my second 5 star review my first is on google! I loved the email reminder that did remind me I should go in and change my nostril piercing to a smaller bar because of swelling reduction. This email isn't to get you in to just spend more money there, but they really care about the longevity of your piercing. If leaving a longer bar in it could fluctuate the angles of the piercing! I love what I was pierced with (it was around a $120.00 piece of jewelry- it was rose gold). But, I knew I wanted to get a smaller bar and potentially change the jewelry. Kelsie (my piercer and who I came back to see for the jewelry change) was so helpful. I wanted another rose gold piece because it looks amazing on my skin. I still wanted something relatively small as well. I found the perfect piece that was from the BVLA company line! It is so beautiful and shiny and of course rose gold! (I believe i spent around $250 for it).As much as I want a hoop I will continue to let my piercing heal as it heals from outside in! They recommend your piercing be at a minimum of 6 months (old) before putting in a hoop so that your piercing isn't 'ruined' if you want to switch between the stud and hoop. Bevel is amazing and you get treated with the utmost respect and help the second you walk in! I will recommend this shop and Kelsie to anyone I know looking for a piercing! And if Kelsie is unavailable I'm sure everyone there is amazing!!! Even if you need new jewelry check them out!! There is a huge selection of the top rated jewelry companies for piercings in country! Over the last couple of months, I've had services/piercings done by both Kelsie and Nate. They were both incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and patient. The people behind the jewelry counter were extremely helpful and friendly with helping me pick out my jewelry. They were transparent with pricing and told me the prices of each piece I was interested in. Both Kelsie and Nate are very used to making their customers feel comfortable. They both ask for consent before doing anything and they will tell you exactly what the procedure entails. They both kept checking in with me during the procedures. On my last appointment which was a 15 minute follow up appointment on my ear piercings with Nate, my AC broke in my car on the way to my appointment. It was an unusually hot day and I arrived sweaty and flustered after sitting in traffic. Nate told me during my appointment that I could sit in the air conditioned studio for as long as I needed after my appointment to cool down. I truly believe that the staff at Bevel go above and beyond any piercing studio I've been to in the past and I would definitely recommend them. I'm looking forward to my next visit. His patience was not ideal for a younger person's piercing, but I didn't want the piercing gun at most kid-friendly places. Not the best experience for the price.
