I was building and restoring cars starting at 15 years old, this went from 1956 Chevy's to Porsche Turbos - "Yes" - all in my own garage and the use of paint shops. Based on their excellent reviews and reputation, even though my car isn't a Mercedes or similar (I've got an Infiniti), I chose Beverly Coachcraft on two different mashed quarter-panel situations and was so happy I picked these guys. Dan and Tom were great, explaining everything in precise and understandable detail, and following through completely - and on time (actually finishing early which was pretty amazing). They also managed the whole insurance process and rental car hassle, taking away some big potential headaches. Needless to say, the work was impeccable - these dudes are perfectionists - I get compliments all the time that my 2004 G35 looks like new - even "car people" I know can't tell where the damage was. Are these guys in bed with the insurance companies or am I the customer?!?!? This place came highly recommended from a friend and I was excited to find a trusted auto shop, BUT NOT ONLY I WAS COMPLETELY MISTREATED, MY CAR WAS NOT FIXED PROPERLY! Here's what happened: I was unfortunately involved in an accident in my Mercedes, which was completely my fault - I rear-ended someone. I had previously had some front end work done on my bumper repaired by Mercedes in Santa Monica and when Beverly Coachcraft took apart my bumper, I got a call from Tom, who told me that he didn't feel my insurance company should pay for me to get a new bumper because my car had been previously worked on - he then said he was not able to repair my bumper. Then he told me that my fog lamp needed to be replaced and he felt my insurance company shouldn't pay for that because it didn't look like it was damaged in this accident! After calling my adjuster, my car insurance of course both agreed to pay for a new bumper and to fix my fog lamp because obviously they agreed it looked like it was damaged in this accident, but Tom didn't do anything to help convince them of this! Then when I picked up my car the fog lamp was cracked and I asked why it wasn't replaced and Tom said that they didn't even ask the insurance to pay for that (even though they paid for it to be re-wired) because Beverly Coachcraft felt it wasn't the insurance company's responsibility. When I asked to talk to the owner of Beverly Coachcraft he was rude and unhelpful. The irony is that a quick call to my adjuster got me a new fog lamp cover! No thanks to Beverly Coachcraft! As I working professional I don't have time to call my adjuster to advocate getting my car repaired properly - it has always been my experience that good car repair shops do that for their customers, but in this case Beverly Coachcraft is more interested in saving my car insurance company money than in fixing my car the right way. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!! read more

Take one look outside of their office and it is the EXACTLY the same as any other half witted body shop in LA, they just charge more because somewhere somebody decided they were decent? With two teenaged drivers, I have had more bodywork done than Cher. Beverly Coachcraft is the only place I would go to get it done right. I've tried two other places and they did not do a good job; I had to send the cars back for further work. It ended up taking longer and was a hassel. Insurance companies will try to steer you into their select shops (many of whom probably pay kickbacks for the referrals) but you have the legal right to go to any body shop you want. Took my BMW because it needed it's front bumper repaired. The person that hit my car had state farm insurance and this was a recommended shop. I would normally use super collision, the great shop on Sepulveda blvd, but I did not want to hassle with insurance claims. All I can say is unbelievable service unbelievable work. With the drama that they likely witness on a daily basis, I will cut them some slack on that matter and advise you not to fall prey to a shop with a good hustle and charming service writers. Have an older BMW that I adore and need to make sure it lasts even longer. I was rear ended and they promised that the fixed bumper would look brand new even though insurance wouldn't cover a replacement bumper. They are master body (car) surgeons (and that's saying a lot for West L.A.). The work they do is just perfect!!! I had a 60 foot Eucalyptus tree fall on my CLK Convertible Mercedes 8 years ago. They had to order the top from Germany and replace it. All those moving parts and 8 years later it still works perfectly!!!! That is truly AMAZING!!!! It's never a happy experience when you are in an accident. However, I am truly grateful that during the process I know I'm going to Beverly Coachcraft and they make the experience as pleasant as possible. They truly care about their work and craftsmanship and won't let you leave until the car is perfect. I was recommended by my mercedes benz contact to come to BCC since they specialize in MB and other foreign cars and said they were very good & likes their work! So I made an appointment with them to look at my car. Tom helped me right away & was very nice, professional & efficient. He discussed the process with me with Progressive insurance. My 550 was hit on the driver's side and I was devastated. I figured my door would never shut correctly (previously had my car had been fixed at another shop) and nothing ever felt the same again. After the repairs were made, Audi sent the wrong color paint for my vehicle.
