Paid for parking, was fined $65 with 1 hour remaining. Called customer service line, left voicemails and sent emails. Have yet to receive a reply after 72 hours. Recommend parking elsewhere.

There was Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Jim Carrey even stayed hours after he needed to until he had spoken, taken pictures, and signed books for every single person who had waited in line for him. However, after the COVID pandemic they've noticeably stopped coming. Still, The Grove is a nice place to visit because it is so polished and touristy. There's the dancing fountain, free trolley, movie theater, shops and restaurants. Meanwhile, The Farmers Market is right next door, so you can easily walk there as well. It's a good place to kill time. Some stores are a bit on the pricey side, though. The trolley is a bit silly since the ride is so short. It takes longer to wait for the trolley than to just walk from one end of the mall to the other. It is a free novelty, though, so if you have nothing better to do, might as well. Recently, there was a parade and festival at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and I noticed several other people like me walking from there to The Grove since it's only around a 20 minute walk up Fairfax Ave. I think people decided to walk since parking at LACMA is $23 no matter what and we didn't want to pay it again. Parking at The Grove isn't cheap either, but it's easy and convenient since it's a huge multi-story parking garage with digital numbers that tell you how many spots are available on each level. My go to restroom is at the top level of Barnes & Noble, but there's also one at Farmers Market. The views of The Grove from the upper levels of Barnes & Noble are nice. There's also an onsite cafe on that level. Meanwhile, this Barnes & Noble is apparently one of the biggest in the US. Around the holidays, they put up one of the tallest Christmas trees in the US. They hang flying reindeer and a sleigh above the dancing fountain. They also put up a Santa house in the middle of the street where you can take pictures with Santa for a fee. One of the changes I didn't like around the dancing fountain, which is one of the few spots with trees and shade, is that they roped it off so that it became outdoor seating for the restaurants whereas before it was open to anyone. Even though I don't live near here anymore, I still end up visiting every now and then because of nearby festivals. At this point it's so familiar to me that as another reviewer had said "It's an LA staple."

Of course the main focal point, the water fountain and little park. There's plenty of parking in the massive covered parking structure. There's also valet at the lower level which is easier in my opinion. You can also park where the farmers market is but they have their own validation system. It's a pretty decent size shopping area which is all outdoor. The main department store which is Nordstrom and then you'll have all the other smaller chains stores. Plenty of dining options, more on the dine in style. If you're looking for something quick and easy, there's the farmers market a couple minutes walk. Of course there's the movie theatre which is great. The whole grove concept is similar to the Americana which is larger. Dining options, shops and of course the fountain. It's a staple in LA that's worth checking out.

Horrible Parking Management - Dishonest and Disrespectful…read more I had an awful experience with the Sunset Plaza Parking Management that I feel obligated to share. On 08/01/25, I parked in their lot for my 11:30 AM lunch reservation at The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker, followed by shopping at Ron Dorff, both located within Sunset Plaza. I stayed on the premises the entire time and have all the receipts and reservation confirmations to prove it. Despite this, I was wrongfully issued a parking citation. When I approached the parking staff with my documentation and tried to calmly explain the situation, they refused to listen. Instead, they accused me of "leaving the premises" because the order time on my restaurant receipt said 11:49 AM. I explained, clearly, that's simply the time our server took our order, not when I entered the restaurant. Anyone who has ever dined out knows there's often a wait to be seated and served, especially at a busy restaurant. But they ignored logic, dismissed my proof, and essentially called me a liar--despite my offer to have the restaurant and my friend confirm everything. Worse, they offered no solution and told me to just deal with the ticket myself. No apology. No responsibility. Just gaslighting and blame-shifting. This is unacceptable. If you're parking here, beware, they are more interested in trapping customers than helping them. I genuinely feel scammed, and I don't want others to go through the same experience.

I've been lucky enough to take in this building more than a couple of times, but most recently after several years and I appreciate it much more and the upgrades they've made. Parking can be maze like, but is relatively easy. We had a guide for rideshare drop offs and for navigating the parking lot ahead of time which made everything easy. After our event we had dinner on Melrose which gave time for the parking lot to quiet down with everyone leaving all at once. Staff for the event as well as for PCD were very helpful and personable. There are a variety of showrooms and design-focused businesses, so it feels very professional and polished overall. It can be a little quiet depending on the time of day, but that also adds to the calm, almost gallery-like vibe. Parking and navigation can take a bit of patience the first time you visit, but once you get familiar with the layout, it's a pleasant place to spend some time. SO MANY dining options, Japanese cultural experiences, a cute K Skin boutique and a convenient place to park, eat, then walk a short distance to the Hollywood Bowl. It may be slightly uphill, but after the concert, the walk back is a breeze. Parking is a very fare price, and most shops & restaurants will validate 2 hours free, which make it even more affordable. We recently checked out their Center Court FIFA watch party area and it was a LOT of fun. I also felt it was safe and a good visual presence of security guards was observed. There are also easy coffee, sandwich, boba and snack kiosks for a quick bite or fun treat.
