I have shopped at this location several times and I have never been treated the way I was today, April 6. 2026, 4:43PM. I was attempting to purchase the 4 step Lawn treatments on sale for $94.99, for Ace Hardware members. However, the cashier was ringing it as the full price of $119.99 and charging tax on the $119.99 instead of the sale price. I inquired to him about the charge of the tax, his reply was that this store has their own tax of $7.00 to everyone. I requested the manager, who corrected the cashier on the tax. I explained the problem was the price being charged instead of the sales price. The cashier, in lane #1, got very upset and said this is dumb either you pay or not. I'm not going to be overcharged because you say so. He was very irritated and argued with the manager as well. This time he said I was acting dumb. The manager did not give his name or the cashier name. I was terribly upset and informed the cashier that he should never argue with the customer and call them dumb, when you were in the wrong not me. During the incident, other customers were observing the interactions, and refused to go in his lane after I ended my transaction. If I visit this Ace Hardware Store again and this particular cashier is the only one checking out, I will not make a purchase there. I gave a review of two stars because of the service not what the store offers. read more

I'm surprised how large and well Stocked this Ace is! I live right next to the walnut Lake Ace but came here for a gutter guard- they had all sizes. And also lots of employees to help you find it and retrieve it from the top shelf! I didn't have time to look at all the gift items that caught my eye so I'll be back soon! read more

I just wanted to update my review to give a shoutout to the guys in the paint department over here. We had a ceiling plaster repair that turned into an entire living room renovation after finding some of the previous owners' "fixes". These guys worked with us through every phase of the project and then got us set up with the right materials for the job. Wow. I have shopped here and at Dammen for over 25 years. There is rarely a weekend that I am not there to pickup stuff that's candidly cheaper at the Home Depot. Until today I went there for the speed of the visit, and assistance when needed. The experience has been ok until this morning. How can the manager, Steve, be more condescending? When you make a mistake, apologize and fix it. Don't blame the customer for your register problems! If your sale ads are too complicated, take that up with HQ If your staff can't handle it, train them. If the POS is broken, fix it! This is what management does. Apparently Bill and Steve have long forgotten that customers are those that make a choice, each and every time, to patronize their establishment. They should be thankful every time someone enters their store. As This long-standing customer will never cross their threshold again. read more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. WON'T GO ANY PLACE ELSE.. We recently invested in a Big Green Egg. The staff at Beverly Hills Ace Hardware were very knowledgeable and made the process very easy. We love it! What really amazed me, thought, was the post-sale customer service. The top dome of the Egg wasn't seated properly. To my horror, when I opened the Egg the top slipped off and shattered on my patio. I called there store to explain the situation and they said they'd get back to me. About 20 minutes later I got a call back that they'd be bringing me a new top, and would be there in about 20 minutes. Bill, the owner, showed up and put my Egg back together. This all happened late afternoon on a Saturday. We were able to use the Egg that night, as planned. I've been to Beverly Hills Ace before and was always pleased with the selection and service. My experience with them around my Big Green Egg has cemented my commitment to them, just as they were committed to me. I won't go any place else. Thank you Bill and your staff at Ace. read more

Our local has come back with everything we needed- great customer service, no long lines, and more importantly the hardware you need - and if they don't have it they'll get it. I always start my shopping here as I am finding more and more American made products - in addition the stores not filled with a bunch of junk or food which always surprises me about the other chains. Also loved that they had organic fertilizer. While some of their items are a bit pricey, their rewards program is second to none - how many stores send you $5 and $10 coupons regularly and make it so easy to get rebates (plus point them out to you!). This makes it worth spending my money here. My only request is to try to expand their outdoor selections for gardening. read more

I had to replace the drainage hose for the AC condensation pump and test the pump. I couldn't have done it without guidance from the manager, Bill. Bill was very patient in explaining the bits and pieces and carefully guided me through the process in person in the store. Stores like Beverly Hills Ace Hardware and managers like Bill are hard to find and harken back to many moons ago when customer service really meant something and was a top priority. If you are thinking about going out and buying something for your home or yard and you automatically think of the Depot or other big box...STOP! Stay on 13 Mile and go to this spot. I have been so underwhelmed with service at the local Depot I made a point of looking elsewhere for my new Weber Grill. The biggest compliment I can give any service organization is "They did what they said they were going to do." And they did... with a smile. Cal helped me pick out the right grill and get it ordered. I was told it would arrive Tuesday, be assembled over Wednesday/Thursday, and "we will call Friday to determine a time for delivery". Well, I didn't have to follow up or stalk! At 9:15 Friday morning Nick called to set up the time, he showed up with my assembled grill at the designated time, put it in place, connected the gas, showed me the tips and tricks, slapped a high five, signed the delivery sheet and he was on his way. It was so easy!! Thank you Beverly Hills Ace for making something easy! I TRULY appreciate the efforts!! Update 8-9...So I had problems with my grill; it wouldn't heat properly. I called Ace kind of expecting them to tell me to call the Manufacturer. Nope- I called at 10 and Nick was out to my home by 1:00 to check it out. And, he fixed the issue. Do not buy CRAFTSMAN TOOLS at ACE Hardware. They do not honor warraty on old tools. Nick the store manager is the least helpful retail manager I have ever encountered. He would not honor warranty claim on genuine CRAFTMAN TOOLS. He said it was my fault for buying tools from a company that went bankrupt. STAY AWAY FROM BEVERLY HILLS ACE HARDWARE. read more

Obviously the store does not have the wide selection of a big box store, but where they lack in vastness they gain in great customer service. I've been to Home Depot and no one was there to help or the staff had no idea where stuff was or what products they carry. I often times found myself helping other customers when I shopped there because of HD's incompetent staff. At this Ace, the staff are always available to help me find the product or to answer any questions that I have. read more

Truly great customer service at this Ace - any time you walk in, they greet you with a smile and a willingness to drop anything and help you find exactly what you need. The staff is just so friendly! Actually this store has a very wide range of product. Just not the same product as down the street at the big box. That is why there is room for both business's. Ace carries lots of stuff I need that the other does not carry. Just the whole row of fasteners in those small drawers makes Ace the go to place. And if I need a certain bushing, again Ace will have it. And the customer service keeps me coming back to Ace. read more
