I am a designer and have been sitting in the same fabulous, ergonomic, durable Aeron chair for 20 years. I have replaced arm pads, casters and lumbar support as they wore out, but I finally ran into a challenge that caused me to look for a new chair. The center cylinder failed and the mechanism had collapsed due to years of overuse. I found BHC online and decided to buy a chair from them. They seemed like specialists and had great prices and selection. My partner emailed Lerry and he said they could repair my chair while we wait and he had a number of chairs for sale that were 1/2 retail and in great shape. I brought my chair to them and their bright, polite technician told me: No problem I can fix this in 15 minutes. They had the parts right there and Oscar, the master technician, had the chair back to me in 10 minutes!!! It was really difficult to find a Herman Miller Aeron size A but I called Beverly Hills Chairs and they had some in stock. I wanted to try out the chair first before purchasing and let the sales person know. He said I could test the chair out if I was willing to drive up to Chatsworth to their warehouse. The sales person was able to set the appointment immediately. When I got there, the warehouse guys were really nice and informative about the chairs. I was able to make the payment on the phone and the sales person sent me the receipt through email. Testing out the chair at home, I really wouldn't have guessed it was used. I reached out to attempt to use my warranty and received a brief response saying the company was closing and they can't honor my warranty. Honestly, This was my best experience buying a chair ever! Guys. GUYS. This place is the real deal. A little less than a year ago I purchased a refurbished Herman Miller Mirra from Beverly Hills Chairs. Good price, picked it up myself from their storefront office in Westwood (since closed thanks to Covid), and proceeded to use it off and on for work from home. The chair itself was well-made, in great condition... But after several months I realized it was too uncomfortable for my tastes, the lumbar support was too stiff. So I reached back out to BHC and asked if they'd be interested in an exchange for a Steelcase Amia, which has a softer back. Assuming that was even possible, I figured I'd have to pay a restocking fee at minimum, but imagine my surprise when they quickly responded and said, "Sure, just take it to our warehouse in Chatsworth, we'll switch it out". WOW. That's incredible! I'm now the happy owner of a Steelcase that works better for me, and I'm sure they'll resell the Mirra without an issue (they ARE well-built) -- any company can sell you a chair at a decent price, but it takes an exceptional company that's willing to go above-and-beyond to make sure their customers are happy, especially a year out from a purchase. As long as I'm in LA, I won't use anyone else for my office chair needs. Neither should you. Absolutely superb! read more

Caring staff, excellent services! I bought a second-hand Herman Miller Aeron chair size A following the manufacture's size chart recommendation. The chair arrived very quickly and in very good condition, but after a few days, I noticed the armrest pads emitted some smells that probably belonged to the previous owner who might have used a lot of fruity-smelling lotion. Lerry at customer service sent me a new pair of armrest pads at no cost within 2 days. After a month of purchase, I started to notice some pain in my legs, I went to a showroom and tried a size B, which was much better for my body's specific proportion. I reached out to Customer service to see if I could exchange it for a size bigger. Lerry responded again quickly and with care, allowing me to exchange for a size up. I offered to drop off size A and pick up the size B from the warehouse in Chatsworth to eliminate the cost of shipping. The staff at the warehouse were professional and friendly. Wanted to send a brief message to say how pleased I was with the process of buying a chair (Aeron) as a birthday gift for my wife. Fernando offered fantastic pre-sale service (they use FB Messenger to receive questions, and you'll usually get a person to talk to within 1 business day...worth the short wait). I made a couple of special requests in my order, including picking up the chair myself at their SFV support center, as that was closer to me than their showroom. Friendly support folks there, too. Its in a business park that's pretty low on frills, but that's probably how they're able to keep prices so aggressive on their merchandise. Trust me, I'm not complaining at all. :) The chair was basically shrink-wrapped from stem to stern for safe transport back home, and when I got it home and peeled off the self-adhering plastic wrap, the chair was as shiny and new as you can get. I know these chairs have had some measure of refurbishment, but I'm telling you....you couldn't tell anyone's butt sat in this chair. It is THAT clean. Let me tell you about my amazing experience with Beverly Hills Chairs. After one thousand years of sitting on a cheap-o office chair, I decided to upgrade. My extensive search brought me where every serious office chair search leads to: Herman Miller. However, I'm cheap. I could not fathom dropping $1,000+ on a chair! A chair! So, I visited two Staples and three Office Depot and finally settled on a $200 chair. Exactly 13 days later, and one day shy of my return window, my back informed me that if I kept sitting on that chair, she would go out and never return. I scrambled for my Office Depot receipt and blah blah blah... it said something about the original box. What? My kids made a fort out of that box and then burned it down. I called in a panic and they said they would make an exception. I drove it right over and got my money back. I was so excited that when I got back home I realized I had no chair. Thankfully it turns out there is a Herman Miller showroom minutes from my house. However, guess what? They don't sell chairs, it's just a showroom. LAME! They were polite about it and pointed me to Design Within Reach so I called them. They were eager to get me into their store but as far as walking out with a chair... not a chance! They also ship everything. DOUBLE-LAME! Thankfully Google knows me so well and it knows I won't stand for delayed gratification!!! so Beverly Hills Chairs came to the rescue!! I visited their website at 11:30am, chatted via FB IM and checked on prices and inventory, got in the car and by 1:06pm I was home with my awesome Herman Miller Aeron (and at a great price!). This business is terrible. I ordered the chair that came with hair tangled at the wheels and the knobs are cracked. They said they will send me the replacement part and share with me the tracking number. 2 weeks later, there is no update with the tracking number and they have never shipped the replacement part. I sat on a friends Steelcase leap v2 and really liked how the chair feels and how adjustable it is. I decided to order 2 Steelcase leap v2 for me and my wife after doing a ton of research on different refurbished chair companies and decided to go with Beverly Hills Chairs based on yelp reviews. I was hoping for a near like-new (~80% new) chair but unfortunately, they each came with their own major flaws. One armrest has a missing seat adjustment label. The top of one backrest is very worn and has cloth sticking out of it. Both chairs were stiff when reclining despite adjusting the controls. I ordered a chair online 1/3/2022 and promptly received an email with my FedEx tracking number and an the details "All of our orders are shipped 5-7 days after purchase." 9 days later the package still has not left their warehouse. I received a response from customer service saying "I really do apologize if you haven't received your purchased order yet as we received a massive order lately." I purchased a Herman Miller Aeron chair from them on 8/2. After my credit card was charged on the same day, I received a tracking number for my shipment with the note that "All of our orders are shipped 3-5 working days after purchase." Well... After following up with them a week later on 8/9 to ask for an update or ETA since there were no changes to the tracking information, I was told that they have a lot of orders without being given any information on when my order would actually ship. Good prices, good selection, great staff! From the name, I thought it was going to be a fancy schmancy showroom with overpriced chairs, but it seemed to be my only alternative to Staples. It's the opposite: second floor office in a nondescript office building, walk in and it's full of randomly strewn chairs to make it easier to try them out. I got to sit in all I want and roll around my favorites. The guy -- I don't remember his name, but he's the blonde in the picture -- was awesome. Answered all my questions, didn't try to upsell me other than pointing out their most popular, which didn't meet my needs for other reasons, and helped me find the perfect chair for me and for my husband. THEN he let me video him showing me how to use all the various levers and buttons. AND loaded two chairs into my car for me. He was truly superb. AND he and the few other customers all were properly masked. Bravo! read more

I ordered an Aeron online and Lerry helped me coordinate convenient pickup at their warehouse in Chatsworth. After a couple of weeks of YouTube videos and tutorials, it became apparent that the Aeron wasn't going to work for me. Lerry suggested a different model chair they carry, but that it was held up in the supply chain. He notified me when it arrived and I returned to the warehouse and met Greg. The second chair was amazing but didn't work for me either. Greg had a third option up his sleeve: a great Steelcase chair that is comfortable for me and he refunded me the difference on the spot. So, here's an update to my experience. After learning of my negative experience, I received a call from the CEO. He seemed like a really nice and genuine guy and explained that they value customer satisfaction very highly. He explained that they are a relatively new company and are working hard to ensure that customers' expectations are met or exceeded with every purchase. He said they would replace and lumbar supports with after-market ones (and true to his word, I received them today and they are perfect). For me, this experience was all about misaligned expectations. As they marketed "21 pt. inspection, year warranty, and "of this caliber," I expected that though used, these chair would be "like new or pretty great." So receiving torn/ripped merchandise wasn't what I was expecting. So, now after having been sent the replacement supports, I am pleased with the end result. I just wish the experience leading up to this had not been so unpleasant. When it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter to me if something isn't right at first. It's all about the willingness of a company to fix a problem and help make it right. We all have a choice as to where we spend our money. All companies should stress this when training employees who work as spokespeople for a company. Anyhow, as they made right with the situation, and I expect they would do the same in the future, I am ultimately satisfied with the purchase and would buy again. I would just make sure to clarify/see the product before purchase so my expectations were in line with reality. read more

I have been looking for a good chair for my daughter. She is a medical student and needs to study all the time. She had a spinal surgery and she could't find any comfortable chairs. Ordered a Steelcase Leap chair at a great price. A common complaint from reviewers is the lack of communication and I experienced the same. Order placed, received an order confirmation and then nothing else. I emailed them a week later and only then did they let me know the order shipped. I do believe they should clean this up for a better customer experience (and improved reviews). The lack of communication doesn't have any effect on the quality of the chair received which was excellent. There was wear on the casters evident and some dust here and there but the fabric, armrests and all major pieces look new. I'm very happy with the chair. Comfortable and great value for the money. There was little to no packing protection around the chair when received. There were some air bubbles tossed in the box which served absolutely no purpose. The chair and legs were separated and well wrapped in stretch wrap to keep things in place but had rubbed through in some places. There wasn't any damage from this. There was a note in the box that said the base and top, when reconnected, had to have the "arrows" aligned. Problem was mine had an arrow on the base but not on the chair. I'm mechanically inclined and could see how I thought it should go but I called to verify. The phone was answered, he apologized for the missing arrow and confirmed my thoughts on installation. Five seconds later the chair was setup and I was enjoying it. If/When I need another chair, I will use Beverly Hills Chairs again. They have some areas they can improve but the return on my investment is excellent! read more
