So went to Office depot at 8:55 they let me in and told me they were closing at 9:00pm I told where I needed and they told me where it was and I was out shortly afterwards. Office Depot just lost a longtime customer. I purchased a printer less than two weeks ago from this location, the printer started malfunctioning after I changed ink cartages and naturally, I came in today to return it. To my surprise, they wouldn't accept my return because I didn't bring the original box with the serial number (even though the product itself has a serial number). Rather than being accommodating, offering some store credit, a partial reimbursement since i was returning it within the two weeks, or anything that's customer friendly, I was met with a rude and unhelpful manager who kept pointing to the 7 point fine print far away from a customers eye site. Had I known this policy, I would never have come here in the first place. So, what happened? I walked out the door with my malfunctioning printer. Office depot just lost a longtime customer. I'm so disappointed. I strongly suggest that you don't shop here. Go to Amazon and buy your printer. Their return policy is very customer friendly. The printer was literally worth $60. I needed to make some important copies and the copy guy not only helped me with the machine, by the time I was ready to leave, he had a bag and paperclips waiting for me before I even asked. He knows how to take care of your needs and it was an ABSOLUTE pleasure to do business with this store. I told the managers what a great guy he was, but had to tell all of you too. He is the kindest, helpful calm, patient knowledgeable person and I enjoy interacting with him whenever I go to the Office Depot and sometimes when I'm choosing to go between Office Depot and Staples, I choose Office Depot even though it's farther because I enjoy working with him he always has a smile and he works on Maybe two or three people's things at the same time so nobody is waiting for a long time so he is acknowledging everybody, and I think everybody appreciates that in him as well, which is probably why they frequent that establishment. This Culver City store has always been dependable, and the staff has always been helpful for the many years I've been patronizing and shopping there. I love that I can order online and pick up within minutes. The items I have needed even at the last minute have usually been in stock at the store. An inefficient, customer unfriendly location. I bought a file cabinet that required assembly. I paid the extra $70 for assembly. The assembly subcontractor Apollo gave me a 4-hour window (8am-noon) for the appointment. Fine. But they called at 11:40am to say "something unexpected came up." They rescheduled me for another 4-hour window on another day. This time no one showed up at all and no one called. When I contacted them and asked them to give me an exact appointment after leaving me waiting twice for 4 hours, they refused. So I called Office Depot. That's who sold me the cabinet and the assembly service. I asked to speak to a manager at Office Depot twice. Both times I was put on hold indefinitely and gave up after 20 minutes. Then I drove there. Manager Maria says she'll "look into it" the following day. But she never gets back to me, and now that I think of it, she never even asked for my number! When I call and ask for Manager Maria the next day they put me on hold and no one picks up at all. So I drive there a third time. A different manager says she can't/won't do anything about it. If Apollo wants me to wait 4 hours on 3 separate days for one assembly job, Office Depot won't get involved. Why this apathetic attitude from Office Depot? A customer got shafted by the company they use to assemble their products. The customer reaches out to Office Depot to resolve it. No manager will answer the phone, no manager will follow up and no manager will get back to me. I can't believe all Office Depot locations are this bad. read more

I purchased a hard drive online for in-store pick up. The pick up date was scheduled for five days after I place the order. I later found out that the item was actually already in the store and in stock. I decided to go and get the item myself that same day. While in the store, an agent help me to cancel the online order, as I just purchased the item in store for myself. The order got canceled, but the money that they held never was return to my account that was April 4, 2023, and it is now May 5, 2023. I am confident, and I am just going to have to take the loss, as all I get is the runaround from Office Depot, and the bank... Claiming that each one is at fault. $85 is a pretty large loss for me, but apparently it's one that I just have to take. I will now do business with office depot, as in frequently as possible, and I will recommend them to no one. read more

I came to office depot today to return a chair. The chair was delivered to my house and unfortunately the packaging was damaged. The awesome representative Shantell tried to assist me but she had trouble with processing my return Because my method of payment was PayPal. Shantrell called the manager Maria for assistance/ Maria walked over and immediately told us that there's nothing she can do because it was a paypal payment. She told us to go home and called the 800 number because item couldn't be returned in the store. Then she walked away as if she didn't want to be bothered. I was determined to return this item and not carry the heavy box back to my car. I called the one 800 number while in the store. Luckily Shantrell was there to assist us. The return went successfully. Easy. My opinion regarding Maria the manager. She Displayed laziness unprofessionalism and rudeness, in addition to being very unhelpful. This Office Depot does not care about their customers. They are not friendly or helpful in any way. I get masks make people look less friendly but people here really don't care if you're looking for something or have a question or anything. The manager isn't helpful in resolving problems that pop up. They blame any issues on the customer instead of taking responsibility for errors in their system and resolving them. They let aggressive men just walk into the store and skip a line of people waiting and take up a good 10 minutes because they have a return. No regards for other customers that have been in line. So I continued standing there waiting to be next then he called the next guy behind me again so this makes two people that he took in front of me. My entire experience with office depot was excellent. I called ahead of time and got advice from Izzy on how to order the poster I needed for my friends baby shower online. She was patient, professional and very knowledgeable. Then I called the next day. I got Chris who was at the front, trying to help Print and Marketing Dept out as they were very. Chris was very kind, courteous and helpful. I was then helped by Sonia from Print Dept who then helped me choose another option and also help me find a discount code was very helpful for the budget. Sonia was patient, kind and knowledgeable walking me through the online ordering experience and making sure I was able to do in store pick up. I called back to check in with Sonia to confirm my online order was received and she was at lunch. So T was kind enough to look it up and confirm the order was received and being worked on. Sonia called me back as well when she returned from l lunch, superior service. I wanted to make sure to mention everyone because the reviews, in my opinion, don't fit the customer service of the associates, which in my opinion was exceptional! I clearly needed you to print it as the print it yourself only prints 1 at a fucking time and withholding $5 when printing only costs $2. Customer service is lacking to say the least. The only person who was helpful here was BRYANT. He stopped what he was doing to assist. When I walked in a young white guy was on a ladder sticking but he started at me & didn't say "hi" or nothing. AWKWARD so I thought this can't be too hard it's a computer & supply store ..... wrong !!! Soooooo lost lol I figured to follow the large posters that lined the wall hoping it was some indication of items being in the area like a little map . I saw the USB poster so I went that way. Where the USBs there ? No . But close by thanks to BRYANT I found what I needed. He even went the extra mile to assist me in looking in both my iPhone 7 plus and iPhone 6s to check the amount of space my pictures were using to determine what size mini drive or USB I needed. He was so patient and kind. Especially considering he was in the middle of a check list as I stopped him. He was confident in the knowledge he offered about how many GB translate to TB. The best part is what I needed was on sale ! Score, I love a sale. My USB was $100 originally & I got it for $60. Ya girl loves to save. This is my experience from the Office Depot in Culver City located at 5640 Sepulveda blvd, 90230. I am a consistent and frequent customer of Office Depot at this location as well as the one in Miracle Mile. I've had good experiences until recently when I've experienced some unacceptable treatment. The first incident was with another employee (whom I won't mention but management is aware of) when he took it upon himself to go outside and speak negatively about my character and the company I represented, to a real estate agent with whom I had just exchanged business cards with. This occurred OUTSIDE IN THE PARKING LOT! I of course turned around and drove back to the office depot and asked to speak to this employee and addressed what had happened. The employee stood firm, defending his unprofessional conduct, that is until I spoke to his management. After that, he apologized to me the next time I came in, so I let it go. Unfortunately, this past Thursday, January 21, 2021 I had another very negative experience with another employee(David in printing). I went to the store to get some posters printed and David, who use to do quality work, had made mistakes on a few jobs recently and it happened again. By the time I drove back up there and saw the mistakes, he had left for the day so I showed the manager and she left a note for him. Since I had already paid, I took the poster. When I spoke to him on the phone about the mistakes on the poster, instead of apologizing for not checking the work, he berated me for taking the poster, he found every excuse to avoid blame, He said I signed a waiver for the laminate and since the damage was on the back, it wouldn't matter. The whole back of the poster is peeling which make it impossible to hang. Given our past history of conflict, it feels like he was negligent in his handling of my project since I'd already paid in advance. David took no accountability and wasted my time and gas because I have to try to fix the mistakes he made that I have paid for. In addition, he told me that if he redoes the poster, I will have to come back and wait and he won't start it unless I'm there, regardless of what the manager says, wasting my time. I mentioned leaving a negative yelp review because he wasn't listening to me, and he commented sarcastically and appeared to be fine with that. I feel this is unacceptable to treat any customer this way, especially one that was spending between 300-700 a month in prints, etc for 2 businesses. Unfortunately, I will have to take my business elsewhere. I have spoken with management before but it seems like the staff doesn't respect the bosses because the attitude is nonchalant. Whoever is managing this place needs to retrain the staff on professionalism, customer service, and how bad service affects the company as a whole especially during covid times when people can spend their money elsewhere as well as tell prominent important friends and associates they know of their bad experiences. read more

I don't know why this location would have less than 5 stars. I've been going to this location since my college years. And now that I've moved into the area, I am always frequently at this location. I had an issue with one of my ink cartridges. Not only was the staff very helpful in giving me to Zack the manager, but I was blown away at, when I came into the store, everything he said he would do to assist me he helped with a great attitude and in a timely fashion. I really only come here to print stuff. There's usually no line so I am helped quickly. The employees aren't the knowledgable but they get the job done. One time they forgot to give me my flashdrive back and I had to drive all the way back. They also aren't good at recommending the best paper for the article I am printing. Well they don't have as much options as FedEx. But the pricing is the same and if I am in a rush this is the place to come. read more

Maria, one of the managers gets 5 stars for outstanding customer service.The store gets 3 stars for causing the problem she had to fix for me. I ordered a self inking stamp which should have been ready the next day. They called me to tell me a part for the machine that makes the stamp broke. When the new part hadn't arrived 4 days later they suggested go to a different location. I was busy and didn't want to drive to Westchester when this store is right near my house so I said I'd wait, thinking it would arrive by the following week. 2 weeks later I realized I hadn't heard from them and I needed the stamp that night. I called and talked to Maria. She called Westchester, had them make the stamp and deliver it to Culver City. She even offered to deliver it to me personally that night on her way home from work. Went to print some documents. The self serve printer has ink stains all over the document, so I was told to try the second self serve station. That printer ended up spinning on canceling a job and I was unable to use it. I asked Annika to please get the documents printed for me but asked for the same rate as self serve and she says ok. I explained I would like to get them 2-sided with the second side upside down. After taking all kinds of personal information such as phone number and address (why is that necessary to just have items printed) she printed the document but didn't print the second side upside down. Since it's a lot of pages I said whatever it's fine. Only to see that she charges me the rate for full service printing jobs. This was the most ridiculous experience ever for getting basic documents printed. Stay away from this location if you can. read more

She made our visit seamlessly simple. I was staring and trying to figure out her name through a wire blocking her name tag, so sis if you're reading this, I'm so sorry lol I was trying not to look obvious. Hopefully you didn't notice. Everything here is self service, luckly I know my way around office equipment but if you don't I suggest going to staples so the associate can do it for you. Place smelled like vomit, definitely not what I wanted to smell while getting my work done! Always extremely busy so if your in a hurry go elsewhere. read more
