(VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE) My mom already left a review, but seeing how upset she was over this situation made me feel like I needed to speak up as well. I contacted Beverly while we were at the animal hospital after our dog suddenly couldn't walk following his grooming appointment. I explained that we've been loyal customers for years and that this was a serious situation. Instead of showing concern, her main focus was on making sure her groomers got paid. She denied that anything had happened and said we would need proof from the vet to even discuss a refund. She also mentioned the groomer specializes in senior dogs, which made the situation even more concerning. She then chose to call my dad instead of continuing to speak with me, even though I was the one communicating with her. When my mom later spoke to her and explained our dog had a seizure, Beverly questioned how the vet would even know that. When we offered to provide documentation, she said it wasn't necessary but still refused to take any accountability. This experience showed a complete lack of care and professionalism. read more

I can't even begin to say how grateful we are!! My dog is Australian Shepard/Border Collie/Great Pyrenees and is NOT a fan of other animals or people. We can't take her anywhere without having an issue. Lauren brought her in and made her feel so comfortable and even took her muzzle off. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. I brought my dog in for a haircut at 11:00am with no quoted time on when she will be ready. I called at about 2:00 and they said she's still going to be a while. It hits 3:15 at which point I decide to drive over to see what's going on. When I walk in they said it will still be another 45 minutes and that they are understaffed. I understand being understaffed can be stressful, but what I don't understand is why they accept so many dogs on their schedule knowing how understaffed they are. My dog has been sitting in a cage crying for 4.5 hours for no reason. There is no reason at all to have an anxious dog waiting that long. Don't waste your time coming here-you will end up waiting hours for nothing. read more

Took my 2 dogs there for a bath and cut. They both came out smelling and looking great! My Collie is very skittish and they treated her very well. She was not scared when picking her up, which is a different outcome from other local groomers. Quick turnaround and pleasant staff. I will be going back. Beverly's has been grooming my girls since we moved to Chicago 2.5 years ago. They are the best groomers and so kind. It has become really hard to get a phone call answered (or returned). I can only assume that's because they are such a gem they are always busy. Don't give up. More than worth the wait!!! read more

I am leaving this review for my mother. She took her dog Sade in to be groomed. She said that the location is convenient, clean and the staff is friendly. you can drop off your doggie in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon. She said that when she walked in, you can see the dogs being groomed looked like they were enjoying themselves, like they were at the spa. Sadie's groomer was Samantha. It was the best cut Sade has ever had. Sam made her look like a puppy again. Sade is 14! Prices are compareable, if not cheaper, than other groomers in the area. They also had paw-da-cure specials too. read more

This was my first and last time here. Our appointment was scheduled for 11:00AM. We were told it would take four hours for completion. I've gone to places that were two hours or less. I don't live in the area so I decided to run errands until my puppy was ready. I stopped back by at 2:30PM just to check in on my pup because she was so nervous. When I walked in, I was told she was next to be groomed and that they would call me when she was ready. Before I could even respond, Patty, also said "If you're in a hurry, Saturday isn't the day to come. We're super busy." Her tone of voice was very unwelcoming. I wasn't in a hurry, l was simply checking in on my puppy, who was wet and in a cage drying in front of a fan looking pitiful. I wanted to take her and leave, but she really needed to be groomed. I was desperate. I left again and got back at 3:10PM, giving them some extra time. She still wasn't finished. She was finally finished at 4:30PM after dropping her off at 11:00AM. She was groomed to my liking, but their customer service needs to be improved. I'm not too sure if I'll be back at this establishment. read more

We needed to get our Golden Retriever groomed for the warmer summer months and found Beverly's on Yelp. Given the 5-star rating we thought it would be a good bet. Beverly (herself) talked with us and set an appointment for that day. I picked the dog up after about 4 hours and was very pleased with the work they did. Puppy looks great! We adopted a Shepard/Akita mix and he was very dirty and smelly from being kept in the cage for so long at the shelter. We took him to Beverly's and the staff there was so nice and compassionate. They took such good care of him. Lauren brushed him and cut his nails. too. Lauren brushed him so well, you could not even tell he had 2 coats of fur. He came home smelling so good and he was so soft. I highly recommend this place for your dogs. read more

2nd time there & left there feeling ripped off & not happy it took 6 hours when I had a 9:30a. ( first appt) i asked what the typical grooming fee is for a small dog bc my first appt was pricey with them but my dogs were a bit hairy & one was matted since appts had been canceled bc of covid around April of 2020 - i understood the fee then bc it was more challenging to groom (although it was a full on shave on both dogs & only was matted ) so this second time i asked & I was told around $50 but they don't like to give out prices' bc it varies depending on dogs hair condition & i get that & now i see why -- I was charged $65 for a simple grooming appt nothing fancy & my dog was NOT matted AT ALL & he is small- I understand COIVD times are rough but it would be nice to know that they are wanting to raise prices before you take your dog in. just be upfront that your prices' are increasing,. but i don't think i will be back read more
