Friend was having a party and I was in charge of alcohol. Woohoo! Stopped here to check out their selection of craft brews and wine. They have a wide selection so I picked up a few items that I thought everyone in the crowd would enjoy - even if they drink the standard grocery store fare. Store is clean. Parking can be tricky with the 24 Hour Fitness crowd. I had to park really far and then immediately regretted that with all the alcohol I had in my hand. I think I got like a week's worth of cardio in hauling it all back to my trunk. Whew... Get the rewards card to save $$$ and collect points off of future purchases. read more

I paid about $12 for a bottle of Dr. Loosen on sale. I used to pay $10 for a glass at Disney's California Adventure's Cove Bar. I was pretty pissed. But buying 3 bottles made me feel better. I also bought some bottles of cabernet sauvignon with the help of a very kind and knowledgeable employee. They didn't have the one I was looking for so I bought what he recommended and dayyyummm... it was pretty good.. finished the bottle that night with a few friends. They had the buy one get one for 5 cents so I bought 2 that day...then after trying it went back and got two more. They also sell decanters and wine glasses. I bought the wine class for cabs and wow.. they're really big. I love their wine sales and discounts you get with their bevmo card. I've been shopping at this BevMo for about a decade, and have spent far more money than I'm willing to publicly admit there. I shop at BevMo for the convenience, primarily. So, when I inadvertently purchased a sealed meat product which was already spoiled (Expiry: April 2021), a product worth only $3.99, I figured it wouldn't be a problem to explain the situation. Unfortunately, that's when the manager there, Cindy, told me that, without a receipt, I couldn't return this $3.99 item. Cindy said that she had no way of proving that I actually purchased the item at their store, and thus, there was absolutely nothing she could do for me. Aside from the insinuation that I'm a thief with the intelligence and audacity to return a $3.99 item, the best I got from Cindy was "the head manager denied your request, and all I can do is have him call you back tomorrow." Thanks for absolutely nothing, BevMo and Cindy. You're both useless, and gravely disappointing. Apparently, BevMo is willing to sell you a defective product (the package of meat was still factory-sealed, yet spoiled) and then punish you for not taking a receipt (when they ask you if you'd like one or not). Apparently, BevMo has no convenience, so I guess I'll just take my business to Total Wine in the future (they're close by, in Tustin Marketplace, and have a much better selection, pricing, *and* staff!) read more

I was going to let it go the first time it happened but not the second time. BevMo offers curbside pickup. You can purchase items online and pick it up at the store. Curbside pickup (due to covid) means the employee brings your item outside and give it to you so you don't have to go in the store ... Again a service offered by many places at this time. I made a purchase online to to pick up at this location and then called them when I got to the store (their own instruction according to the email confirmation I received). The first time a man with a condescending tone responded "oh you are here? Heh, you know the store is open, right? You can come in!" As in I'm lazy to not go in ... Or I'm making the situation inconvenient for him. So I was like yes I know but I prefer not to because of covid, hence the curbside pickup online purchase. The second time I made another order, a woman did the same thing! Like are they getting trained for this?? Then why are they offering curbside pickup at all? She was sooo annoyed over the phone talking to me. She said: "if you've received the email confirmation, you order is ready for pick up. You can come in to pick it up" so I explained again I ordered for CURBSIDE PICKUP! And even when she was outside, her tone was so rude and annoyed as I have definitely disrupted her work or day or whatever. Then I drove away and half way home I realized one of the items is missing. I called and she was like oh yeah we didn't have that in stock. As a customer I would have appreciated if she had told me my order was missing an item when I was there so I could substitute something else especially since I was using a $20 off coupon, which went to waste since my order didn't meet the threshold for the coupon after they took one of the items off of it. Came in looking for a White wine. Liam didn't greet me. Didn't even attempt to look up my product. Just pointed me in a direction and that's it. Rude employees. No one came to help me. They basically have everything here. It can get kind of overwhelming. I came here during the fall season. They had a great selection of seasonal items. They even had a whole section of pumpkin beer. Not only did they sell packs of pumpkin beer, but they also sold individual bottles if you didn't want to commit to a lot. Their wine selection was very vast. They practically had everything. And they were having a sale too. They also have a great selection of humorous cards here. For all ocassions, birthdays, holidays, etc. They aren't your typical Target/Walmart cards. I ordered and got charge for a bottle of everclear (using it to distill in a barrel) but when I went to go pick it up it was out of stock even though I was charged for it. If I could live somewhere...BevMo would be on my short list!! Ok ok, I'm not really that huge of an alcoholic but enough of one to appreciate the service and products that this establishment provides. My experience with BevMo has been that they may not always be the cheapest (especially if the supermarket has your poison of choice on sale) but they certainly are the most convenient. They have an amazingly WIDE selecxtion of liquor/wine. Their expansion in the food (things that make you drink more!) department makes them a one-stop shop. I don't know if anyone mentioned this but one cool service they provide is if you buy products online for in-store pickup, you can include instructions for them on how to prepare your purchase, including chilling your beer or liquor. DISCLAIMER: Obviously, if they have to take something off the (room temperature) rack when you order it to put it in the cooler, don't expect your 12 pack of Smirnoff Ice to be completely chilled when you go to pick it up 30 minutes later. BevMo's also a great place to go for a gender-neutral, quickie, last minute gift. They offer gift bags, tissue paper, etc. so you can always grab a salami, crackers, dip and a bottle wine to assemble a cute hostess gift or even a picnic. In short, BevMo is a great concept - liquor store without the skeeziness and I hope that they stick around for much longer than this crappy economic crisis. Nice and spacious, but lacks selection. Who knew that not all Bevmos are created equal. This location seems to be a good size, at least as big as several others I've visted. However, the two things I came for I found woefully lacking. First I found their IPA selection was really slim compared to other locations. And maybe it's not fair to compare to Total Wine, but it doesn't even register on the same scale. I left without picking up any. Second, I found their whiskey selection severely limited as well. Both in bourbons and scotches, and I would have taken a descent selection of either on this trip. I found one I could do with, but lower on the shelf than I normally go for. read more

Came by Labor Day with my sister & her boyfriend, we all just got done moving into a new house and so I wanted to buy some wine. I grabbed a four pack & a bottle, and when I came to the register. I greeted the cashier, and he immediately asked for my ID and that he would also need to ID my sister and her boyfriend even though I was the one paying. All of us are of age to buy alcohol but I had already knew my sister had not brought her wallet coming in. He said it was prevent underage drinking but honestly I felt discriminated based on my looks because I've always been told I look younger than what I am (I'm 23) but that shouldn't matter, and he just seemed unhappy to be working either with his job entirely or the fact that he's working a holiday (it was an old man wearing glasses - who another person on yelp has already complained about) I've never been treated this way at any other BevMo location I've been too. But either way BevMo has lost my business. Do yourself a favor and prevent going into such a hostile environment. We ended up going to Total Wine & More, in which the employees greeted us upon entering & even helped us select a couple of bottles. BevMo is really great in that they have a lot of different products for a lot of different people. The layout is good but, considering they have products from all over the world...maybe design it with a theme per country or region?...beyond just rows upon rows of stuff. I think a concept around the beers would be super ideal! I especially enjoy their promotions and gift items. The drink box sets with glass, or other branded items are always fun to look at, and imagine who to give it away to. Lastly, I think some kind of educational kiosk or display would bring so much value to the overall shopping experience. Some of the more premium brands are displayed inside a glass cage, why not teach us something about it. Too many people just drink and don't really appreciate the history and heritage of a brand. We ran through this store, picking things off the shelves - - and near everything we wanted, we found - including a great selection of Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Cabs. I love BevMo. But there was something bizarre in this store. Macallan 18 is on the shelf. Chivas Regal, which is half the price, is locked up behind glass doors. I was so curious about this logic that I asked one of the salespeople.... who shrugged his shoulders and said, "Some questions have no answers, I have no idea why, it's just one of those things, I guess." Huge selection of wine and craft beer! This place is great for when you can't find what you're looking for at Costco. Costco is still my #1 place to go to for alcohol though. If you sign up for their Bevmo membership, you'll get emails with discounts. However, the discounts are like "$10 off $100." I usually don't get anything until I see a "$10 off $50" because I'm not gonna buy $100 worth of alcohol. Anyways, service here is great, as the employees are friendly and can help you with whatever you need. I recently had some delicious moscato d'asti at a restaurant for $12 (for a glass!!). I found the entire bottle here for $13. Well then... I bought 2 bottles and it made me feel a tad better. read more

BevMo always have this fake promo week. Such as Buy one and the other one for 5 cents or Buy 2, get one for free. However they always jack up the price. People are not that stupid and they can check on line for the actual price. if you are going to do a promo, just give a real discount instead. We used to come here often, sometimes they have exclusive good choice of wine selection, but nowadays, they just have plenty of liquours and beer that you can get everywhere. The wine selection is little. They always put the description of the under 15 dollar wine close to the ground, you can't even read the label even when you bend/kneel down. The service used to be friendly and nowadays, they hire more of those people who obviously doesn't want to work, just standing there mumbling to themselves. The store is greedy with the boxes, we spent a few hundred dollars on wine and they only provide us a 9 bottle box, they didn't even give us the paper bags to pack the rest of the wine bottles, they just put the rest of the wine bottle together in a plastic bag. This BevMo is the closest large liquor store chain to where I live. It's big (but not the biggest BevMo I've been to) and well-stocked especially if you're looking for that perfect bottle of wine or that beautifully aged whisky. However, considering I'm a beer enthusiast, the selection is lacking. Maybe a few aisles deep with some varieties offered in the coolers, there isn't much to browse. It takes all of 15 minutes to get a full scope of what craft, domestic or imported beers they have here. If there was a Total Wine near me, I would rather go there. That is the ultimate playground for someone of my drinking preferences. Despite the small selection, the staff is very helpful, knowledge and quick at check outs. You'll be in and out in no time. I'd just go elsewhere if you're looking for beer for... research, if you know what I mean. read more

Bevmo believes that not everyone who wants to buy alcohol need to chichat with someone, so they pretty much manage to put this huge giant large store with tons of selections and one cashier in most location to check you out and ask you and offer you the bevmo card, that saves you $$s. If you think of it, it makes sense. When was the last time at Ralphs or Albertons you stopped someone and asked them if the unbleached flour in the bread would do to your body and health conscious diet regimen right! I may just take a star off for that, but this place is still a solid 4. When they put stuff on sale, it really is a good deal. They always have most all selections at the store. I was looking to buy lodi 337, which I couldn't find at the local pavilion, guess where I found them - here!
