The thing I love about BevMo is I can get my Gluten Free Glutenberg beer and my husbands favorite IPA for us to enjoy together on the patio with home grilled burgers. Tito's vodka, we drink this together. More gluten free bevies. My beer is often out of stock, but when they have it I'm pretty excited. It's BevMo, you know what you're going get. I called in advance to confirm that I could order ice delivery for an event nearby. They offer delivery service for drinks but I wanted to make sure that that also applied to ice. In this case, it did. I placed my order online and paid online. The order was delivered as requested and on time, and it saved us the headache of needing to move a lot of heavy ice. Today Bev Mo and Trey in particular, made my day. It's the Fourth of July, I have a cart full of mixers and found out that the Bev Mo store was down to their last bag of ice. I was visibly exhausted in this hundred degree heat, and so discouraged. Trey was so kind and helpful. I bought the last bag of ice. He had such nice encouraging things to say that I literally left the store with a smile on my face ready to go find ice somewhere else. Just his friendliness perked me up and got me over the "last bag of ice" hurdle. Thank you for having such a fine employee. read more

The worst place ever, wouldn't let me pay for it in advance spoke to the manager the following week gave her the order and told me to pay for it when I picked it up. We had BevMo deliver liquor, wine, beer, water, and ice for our wedding. Jay walked us through the ordering process, quickly pulled stock from other BevMos close by to get exactly what we were looking for, accommodated last minute changes, and was exactly on time with the delivery. He was prompt and communicative, and we never felt he was overselling us or trying to get us to buy more than we needed. read more

I like BEVMo but find the wine selection is limited. The store carries a small variety of everything which can make for a disjointed selection. The .5 cent sale keeps me coming to the store but still, I find the wine limited. I'm happy CA has the option of a BevMo and will continue to shop there. I just wish they lean in rather than paring down the selection as it appears in recent months. I also wonder if they expand around the holidays and shrink stock afterward. read more

I love BevMo, I love how much selection they offer. And the prices are always so much better than liquor stores. BevMo has always been my defacto place to stock up before some serious BBQing and drinking. One of the coolest things they have are the red keg cups where you can scratch your name on a label so you know which is yours. If you're going to buy handles of booze the Costco next door might have slightly better prices, they also have better deals on keg cups. read more

This is a review of a change in BevMo's corporate policy on refunds. When I joined BevMo a few years ago, discounts were provided at the time of check-out, as per Whole Foods, Safeway, etc. Recently, I noticed (4/3/24) and confirmed (5/4/24) that BevMo now provides the discount on a receipt that must be brought back within 2 weeks for $10 off the next purchase. This is standard policy for businesses that are money grubbing and exploit customers. I have to store my receipts, remember to bring with me when I shop again, and do this within 2 weeks. The clear intent is to greatly reduce the amount of discounts provided to customers. I do not do shop at such businesses, will not shop at BevMo until it returns to the original policy, and encourage all to avoid BevMo. read more

Went in store to pick something up. The one visible employer at the checkout stand was glued to her phone and didn't even bother to look up or greet me. No big deal. I couldn't find what I was looking for. When I approached same employee, she was still glued to her phone, barely looked up when I asked my question and swiftly replied "if you didn't see it, we don't have it" and immediately returned to her phone. Always well-stocked with spirits and accessories. I love giving myself time to explore their beers and their mixed drinks. Folks that work here are certainly a friendly bunch. If I have any questions, they seem to know what information I need. It always makes a great place for gift ideas, too. I visited here this time to get some festive drink mixes for a party. I also picked up some copper mugs for a future gift (a friend of mine loves Moscow Mules) and two large glass mugs for my husband's nightly beer. I spent more time looking at mug styles than I actually did the alcohol today (they have a massive selection of stemware). Finally!! An actual beer wine and spirits WAREHOUSE! This place is huge! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Didn't have my GOLDEN MONKEY beer that I can't find in Cali but I was able to get everything else. Few bottles of wine- tequila as a gift, this beautiful gold and black sake bottle that I was given as a gift last year and haven't been able to find til now!! Score!!!! Got the munchies? They have snacks from delicious cheeses to chips and sugary sweet thangs. Garnishes for drinks/ Cocktails, yup, they have that! Prepackaged gift ideas for that lush in your life. There's a large refrigerated section which is impressive. Delighted to find my BELGIUM beer, Delirium tremens and Duvel. Meh. Really torn on this location. The store is clean and there is always a parking spot close by, but there are two glaring deficiencies: lack of product knowledge among the staff and a very vanilla beer selection. Regarding the first point - the employees are incredibly friendly and more than willing to look something up in the inventory system if you know what you are looking for. But when you are looking for a pairing recommendation, or something new, you're on your own. On the second point - you can find all of your typical beers, including more well known Craft Beers (Lagunitas, Bear Republic, Stone etc.), just don't expect anything exotic. Given this is a chain liquor store, perhaps my gripes are unfair but knowledge and selection are two things that run to the core of what it means to be in this business. read more

Store is always clean and well stocked. Staff is polite and knowledgeable if not friendly. You can pick up some excellent wines during their 5 cent sale. Good time to try new brands. Plenty of parking. Someone us always available for service out. Only drawback is they often do not have what I want and I have to go to the San Rafael store. One of the advantages of preordering online is that you know in advance if they have what you want in stock - saves trips to multiple stores. read more

I just picked up an online order. Great experience. Ordered using the App. They emailed when the order was ready. At store door I showed my ID. Then, wearing gloves, they bring it to your car. At arms length they hand you the order to initial. Very efficient. I felt confident they were also taking precautions in the store. read more

This Bevmo! is a relatively new store. It is located between Macy's Home Furniture and Target. It is the perfect place for a beer run when you're at Sears Point/Infineon Raceway. Pro: I generally have no problem finding what I am looking for, particularly in regards to the beer selection. Big Con: The reason for my low rating is because of how this BevMo treats patrons whom look "young". Every time I walk down an aisle, an employee comes by to "tail me", often without even asking me if I needed any help. One time, the moment I stepped through the entrance, one of the store managers yelled at me, "You better be 21 or older"! Now, I'm generally happy when places card me, because that just means I still look young. But BevMo in Novato takes it to the extreme, to the point where I feel unwelcome and discriminated against. This is the only BevMo location where I feel this way, sadly. read more

BEVMO!!!! Some peope love it, some people hate it. As an ex employee and now a current shopper of Bevmo, I don't think it's that bad of a place. This particular bevmo is very chill and relaxed. Not a lot of foot traffic goes to this store. Which is good because you can usually find anything that's missing or hard to find at any other booze store. This store has a semi descent beer selection and that's all I can account for. I'm a beer snob, not a wine ho. My only negative comments are that their beer selection in the fridge is for the most part, garbage, the dudes that work there always immediately bark at me, "Are you over 21?", and I've been followed on mutliple occasions as if I'm hella sketch looking. Sometimes I feel like telling them, "Yes, I'm over 21 and I've worked at a Bevmo before so I don't need help finding anything." I probably know the product and the store better than the people who work there. All in all, I'm going to stop hating and congratulate this establishment on four stars. read more

Mason rocks!! He actually knew what lychee Liquor was and exactly where it was located in the store. He also recommend a sake which was the bomb as well. He was knowledge and able to exchange alcohol information and recipes. Alley pup gives him four paws up for keeping her humans so happy. read more

Same older male employee followed me for a whole 10 minutes in the store. 1) As soon as I walked in, he greeted me and asked if he could help, I said no but thanks. 2) Browsed beer at the back of the store and he came over to ask me what I was looking for in particular. I said I was just browsing and he said to let him know if I need help. 3) Browsed the soft drink aisles, picked up a pack, and he stopped helping someone else to ask me, "What you got there?" Looked over my beer, complimented it, and I moved on. 4) Browsed lightweight liquors and guess who pops up from the bowels of the Earth to ask me if I need help? Proceeds to lead me through two aisles giving me 15 different recommendations. Wouldn't stop talking to me. This is 8 minutes in. 5) HAD to ring me up too. Pros: He knew his stuff. His recommendations were appropriate. Cons: Either women, minorities, or young people wearing sweaters will be followed here. I'm extra average, and he wasn't really nice, so it wasn't *that* kind of following. read more

there's ample parking here. situated to the left of tje stpre is their cigars displayed in three cases. most are in price range of $5-$8. there are many lights shining on them to illuminate them. same light probably isn't strong enough to contribute to the drying of the cigars. didn't see many maduros as they would probably be $10-$12. will have to consider how much of a buzz i want before making my choice. i prefer big stogies not these torpedos and minnows (cigarets) that they offer here. read more

Can be a little hard to find staff some times when you're trying to ask questions or get a bottle out of one of the locked cases. When you do find a staff member they are always very knowledgeable of the products, which is impressive because of the variety of the stock there. Love the $0.05 wine sales! read more

Having NEVER been here before, it took a few minutes to figure out where the eff it was!! No idea since it's a huge shopping center...and then we saw the street sign eventually. Hey Yelp maps- your pinned location on the map is WAYYYY off!! That was frustrating as hell. Anyway, once we located it, walked right in to a wide open and lovely BevMo. This is the best bevmo in the whole world! I bought all the alcohol for my wedding at this store and I cannot begin to tell you how helpful they were. Let me start by saying the store manager Orlando is awesome blossom with extra awesome. He was amazing from the very beginning, giving us suggestions on what will go well at weddings. He even scheduled a tasting so we get an idea of the type of wines we will like at our wedding. I live on the east coast so I bought all the alcohol online during their sales. Orlando will let us know when a sale starts so that we can take advantage of the really great prices that BevMo has to offer. In addition, he stored our alcohol until our wedding. Here is the kicker they delivered everything to our wedding location (for a very small fee) and included labels of everything so the caterer knows what is in each box. After the wedding we had alcohol left over we were able to take back any alcohol that wasn't opened or the label wasn't damaged! WIN WIN WIN!! How awesome is that?! Use this BevMo for your events because they are very accommodating and helpful. read more

I brought this up the the staffer who went and checked the shelf and came back and told me that this was an un-vintaged wine. I was like WTF? I clearly has a vintage and I bought a 2017. He explained to me that they just sell whatever corporate sends them and that he has no control over what shows up. He was able to change it on the website almost immediately though to 2019. I needed the wine for an event the next day so I had no choice but to take the new vintage. I sent an email to both corporate and the store manager thinking that they would make some amends. The manager called me the next day and politely explained that they have no control over what shows up on the website and that they just shelve what is sent to them by corporate. In addition he explained what was meant by "un-vintaged." Evidently what that means is that they don't stock and store several vintages like they do with some wines and that because corporate doesn't always update what they've been shipped this can sometimes occur. OK, so he talked me down and I guess I was convinced that it wasn't the store's fault. But still I feel like they should have made some monetary amends for the mistake they made as a corporate entity. so, I was gong to leave it along. But today almost a week later I get an email from corporate saying: Hi! Thanks so much for reaching out to Customer Care about this. Per the information from your order 355673938, the La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva 2019 is indeed the correct vintage/item purchased on the order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. What the actual heck? Did they not even see my original email that VERIFIES that my order was a 2017 vintage. Sheesh, whatever so done with the corporate BS. I will not be returning to this store.

I brought this up the the staffer who went and checked the shelf and came back and told me that this was an un-vintaged wine. I was like WTF? I clearly has a vintage and I bought a 2017. He explained to me that they just sell whatever corporate sends them and that he has no control over what shows up. He was able to change it on the website almost immediately though to 2019. I needed the wine for an event the next day so I had no choice but to take the new vintage. I sent an email to both corporate and the store manager thinking that they would make some amends. The manager called me the next day and politely explained that they have no control over what shows up on the website and that they just shelve what is sent to them by corporate. In addition he explained what was meant by "un-vintaged." Evidently what that means is that they don't stock and store several vintages like they do with some wines and that because corporate doesn't always update what they've been shipped this can sometimes occur. OK, so he talked me down and I guess I was convinced that it wasn't the store's fault. But still I feel like they should have made some monetary amends for the mistake they made as a corporate entity. so, I was gong to leave it along. But today almost a week later I get an email from corporate saying: Hi! Thanks so much for reaching out to Customer Care about this. Per the information from your order 355673938, the La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva 2019 is indeed the correct vintage/item purchased on the order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. What the actual heck? Did they not even see my original email that VERIFIES that my order was a 2017 vintage. Sheesh, whatever so done with the corporate BS. I will not be returning to this store.
