I absolutely love this spot. I recently moved to Kentfield, and this is a true gem. Incredible deli (made to order sandwiches). Staff is so kind and accommodating. Just visited Zee, and wasn't able to reach a bottle from the cooler, and he graciously got the item for me. So many drink and food options - also great hours and value. Zee's is my favorite place to get a really Fuckin good sandwich!! If you get in before lunch time, it's pretty damn quick to get your sanni, at lunch time it's about 10-15 min, not too shabby. First of all , I cannot give enough positive kudos about this establishment. I will start with the owners, a married couple, Kylie and Zee. They are two of the NICEST business owners I've yet to come across and they really appreciate their customers. For example I didn't know that Zee was an owner and one night I came in. I was purchasing a few things and I didn't have enough money for my Gatorade . So I went to put it back. He said, " just take it. We appreciate your business and you come in here all the time." I didn't even know that anyone really noticed me. This was a while ago. The next time I came in I tried to pay him for the Gatorade and he wouldn't take the money. Who does that?? No one. Kylie I know better. She has the absolute best smile along with one of her deli staff Miriam. If I'm having a bad day, I find a reason to go in there just for the smiles and I always buy something even though I know I don't have to. Neptqli who works nights is also so nice and has an amazing memory with names . He asked my name once and that was it. He calls me by name every single time. And if you like Rueben sandwiches as much as I do this is the place. Having been in the military I have lived all over and they make the ABSOLUTE best Rueben. In a personal note I have a licensed service dog Elvis who is young and came down with a rare illness. I had to start a go fund me page. He had to get specialized care at UCDavis. I'm a disabled veteran and I need my dog. I went to many business owners that I knew better and had been a customer for much longer and they wouldn't post it. When I brought it in to here , Zee posted it faster than an answer up at the counter where it could be seen and customers have left donations and they always give them to me. I love great beer and this store carries such a good selection. In addition to that they rotate their selection so there are always new and fun beers every time I visit the store. The owner is always on the hunt for the next great beer in northern California. For example, I went to a really tiny brewery up in Santa Rosa one weekend and just loved their beers. I asked if they distributed around Marin so I could find their beers a bit closer to home. They said, "Not too much, but have you heard of Zee's?" I smiled and let them know Zee's was my go-to spot. I'm a huge red fan, and am never disappointed. Zee knows his stuff, so don't hesitate asking for a recommendation. 2) Beer. I'm not into it. But, they carry a ton of great ones. The sandwiches are delicious and fresh, the candy and chip selection is wonderful, and honestly, it has one of the best hard cider selections I have found anywhere. My personal favorite is Dragon's Breath, which is a spicy ginger cider, and I can't find it anywhere else. The best part about this place though is the people who own it. Zee has an incredible knowledge of beer, wine, cider, and liquor, so no matter what you're looking for, he is the most helpful person to ask. He is also pretty hilarious and easy to talk to. Kylie is knowledgeable about pretty much everything else in the store, she makes great sandwiches, and she is just the sweetest person I have met. Amazing service. I found them on a beer locator app when looking for low carb beer. The one listed was there, but as I looked around Zee asked if he could help. Told him I was on the Keto diet and he made some recommendations with the promise to order more Slightly Mighty from Dogfish and research more. I refused to return here until friends kept telling me that there are new owners who are really nice. I finally stopped in this week since they were one of the few places open on Christmas and I was surprised by the changes. The store is much more inviting now, looks way cleaner and the couple who owns it definitely lived up to their reputation. My family asked me to pick up wine on my way but I wasn't sure which ones to get. Zee was very knowledgeable and gave me great recommendations. His fiance even put them in cute fabric bags at no charge to make them more festive for me. My family loved them. I will definitely be returning now.
