No one in this store had any knowledge of sake. The female employee was very rude. I asked a staff member about sake expiry date, he said he didn't know and to Google it, I googled it, and practically the whole shelf is expired. I've always had a good experience when I go into any BevMo! But since my bus stop cominghome from workwas right in front I went to this location frequently. Their selection of products are outstanding and their prices are very competitive, Sale prices can't be beat, especially during promotions like the 5 cent wine sale. I appreciate alcohol in all forms so there's always something I like there, and its the perfect place to re-stock a bar or to get ready for a party. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. This is officially my home away from home...in fact, if you look closely upon visiting, you may notice my futon, blankie, mini-TV, and stack of celebrity gossip mags off in the corner near the Scotch! You don't need to carry your laminated Bevmo-ala-Ralphs-like-clubcard with you to get the discounts...just let them know your digits upon checkout and the'll be happy to deduct a few coins from your purchase. It's a one-stop shopping place...not only great in terms of replenishing your liquor cabinet but also a great place at which to buy a gift for someone. I suggest for a man: two cool Reidel lowball glasses and a bottle of Jack Daniel's Single Malt...and for the lady, perhaps a nice wine decanter and a bottle that she can air out IN it! They carry a wide variety of cheeses, snackies, beer, liquor, mixers, wines of all types, champagne, sake...you name it...KEGS! This place is a "must stop" every time we go to CA. No matter where in CA we go. We can always get wonderful craft beer we'll never see in Las Vegas. I call it contraband when we bring home near $200 worth of all individual bottles and a few 6-packs of rarities. Came here on NYE to get a bottle of Ciroc and some pineapple juice for a party we were going to. Long lines, but granted, it was around 5pm on NYE and everyone needed to pick up alcohol. This was my first time ever being in a BevMo and ohmygoodness, this is just the most fantastic store! Um hello the wine selection alone is enough to keep me occupied for a while! The employees are all pretty friendly, though somewhat slow at ringing people up. But I didn't mind this all that much seeing as how it gave me time to look at the display of mini alcohol bottles - my date and I were very fascinated by the selection of the mini bottles (or as he and I like to call it: purse size! haha). Prices are about average with most other places, but for the convenience and selection (lots of different types of wines, beers, and other assorted alcohols plus other fun alcohol related gadgets, like decanters, etc...) I would definitely opt to come here rather than a grocery store, if given the opportunity. read more

I must say that I am a huge fan of BevMo since it opened!!! I have been to many across California and find that they are all pretty much the same, except this one!!! I saw so many beers and vodkas that I've never seen before!!! They also have the biggest selection of old fashioned sodas that you cant find anywhere else!!! The only bad thing I can say about this BevMo is that it was a freaking mess!!! There were boxes opened and unopened scattered everywhere. It's pretty funny because as I was walking around with a basket full of booze, I turned to my girlfriend and said "Ah... isn't it great that there is a store that contributes to our habit of killing our livers!!!" Good service and huge selection.

Arrived at this location at 9:48 and to my surprise the gate was closed, it says on the door they close at 10pm after attempting to open the gate I noticed the two people inside staring at me from the window. I called and asked them to please open the gate and they lied and told me they had a power outage and couldn't help me. Walked across the street to John and Petes fine wine and spirits and they helped me and confirmed that there were no power outages in the area. read more

They have a great selection of wines and of course just like every other bevmo they have every type of hard liquor at the best prices of you are a bevmo member. The layout is a little co located as they have some wines here and there with some crackers elsewhere while the cheese is here. It may just be me but putting products that go with each other next to each other usually results in a much better experience. Nonetheless this is the only place I buy my booze besides Costco. BevMo in CA has always been my goto for alcoholic beverage. But now there is a new twist. Just like CVS tried around 2010,BevMo now requires a scan of your drivers license, recording all of your personal information and of course logging your purchase details. So the state can now track you drinking habits even more readily. Another attack on personal freedom! Boycott BevMo! Or at least refuse to hand over your license. read more

The older tall black male employee who appears to be the manager or supervisor in charge at this store really is lacking customer service skills, knowledge about sales and how to handle a simple transaction. This was pretty unbelievable how long it took at the register just to check out. Your black male manager didn't even know what he was doing and did not even know how to complete a transaction. If this guy is the manager or supervisor in charge then why is he so clueless as how to do a sales transaction? This was ridiculous the amount of time it took him. This employee obviously is not properly trained nor does he seem to know anything or be experienced in retail sales. How can someone being this old not have any experience in sales If you are putting him in charge as a manager or supervisor of a store??? This person should not be a manager or supervisor with the lack of simple sales knowledge and customer serive. I also thought your prices are supposed to be discounted. The employees are very nice, but the company is a failure. Their prices are no better than Ralph's, so it's not worth a special trip to go to Bevmo. And the promotional discounts are ludicrous. By a country mile this is the worst BevMo I'v been to. When I went in yesterday to buy a bottle of champagne for a celebration there was only one cashier at the desk. He was rude, inefficient and incredibly slow. When we eventually made it to the front of the line the champagne (which was in a locked fridge) they couldn't find the key, so I ended up having to buy a warm bottle, not chilled (this by the way after they had made me go to the back of the line again). They literally couldn't have cared less about their customers. For a pretty good company (usually) I was astonished by how incredibly badly this BevMo is managed. The cashier was really good at pointing across the store where the beverages were and also good at eating while at the cash register. I asked her a question and she answered as she was eating her lunchable. Just rude. Also, two employees were near the front and not one welcomed me. i was looking for some coconut stout beer that i had at a bar two days before. could barely remember the name (i knew it had a "j" sound in it). saw a young woman walking by and asked her if she could help me. she said she'd send someone and i was pretty sure i'd never see another soul. sure enough david showed up and by then i'd figured out it was some kind of Barley Forge coconut stout. he said he'd go look it up and be back. sure, riiiight. then he comes back and says they carry Barley Forge Coconut Rye Stout and he'll check in the back. then he comes back again and says they have two sixes somewheres in that store and he's gonna help me find it! and he did!!! and then he helped me find some of those little chocolates with liquor in 'em!!! and some eggnog! i felt like i had my own personal shopper and he was fantastic! happy holidaze!!! read more

I love BevMo, I shop here all the time. Last night I stopped in to ask about the new Stone Unapologetic IPA, on my way home from work. The girl that helped me was really short & rude, for no apparent reason. I just don't understand what happened. I asked her the ETA, she said "What does ETA mean?" I explained & she said it wasn't in the system, and she had no idea when they would get it. Look, I understand not knowing, but at least be nice about it. Then, I called the location near my house in Glendale. They were very nice, and told me it wasn't in yet, but that I should check back on Thursday because that's when they get shipments in. It took the same amount of time to be NICE as it did to be RUDE. I'm not going to shop at this location again, and it really didn't have to go down that way. read more

I am so disappointed with BevMo!'s customer service. I like their buy one wine and get the other for 5 cents deal, so I went into this particular store to find a nice bottle of wine or two. After spending so much time for the wine I would like, at the cash register I realized that the price on the screen was different from what was on the price tag. I pointed this out to the cashier, and it took FOREVER for her to get her manager to approve. I had to waste more time waiting and waiting to correct their mistake. I then realized that they do not deserve my business and I could get my wine somewhere else. I will never go back to this BevMo! ever again!! read more

The selection is great, however the staff is not. I've always felt an indifferent attitude from employees whenever the 3 or 4 times I've been in here, however they took it to the extreme on my last visit. Allan, was behind the counter and he was checking a woman out ahead of me when Andre came up and showed him a new work schedule. Allan decided to stop checking the woman out to look at the schedule. When he finally got done with her, Allan and Andre decided they wanted to argue about the schedule instead of checking me out. By now there was a line of 3 or 4 people behind me. I had to say "Would you mind doing that later?" Before either of them looked up and even acknowledged I was standing in front of them. Andre, who I assume to be some supervisor, stopped and checked me out. I was standing there so long while they argued about the schedule that I was even able to get my phone out and take a picture of them and they didn't even look up when the "click" went off. read more
