The store is FANTASMIC! It's like being a kid in a candy story. A very, very drunk, kid. YAY! They have almost everything, you need on a normal liquor run. Specialty selections may be harder to find, but most of those you'd have to order from the winery anyway. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because the people who work there are HORRENDOUS. They're either drunk and completely incapacitated to understand anything that comes out of your mouth or extremely RUDE! There's one particular cashier - this olive-skinned baldish guy that SUPER rude and just awful. He is completely impatient and seems almost irritated that you're there, bothering him with your transaction. Usually, you don't have to deal with the idiots there and just get your stuff and go to your fun event that needs liquor, but god forbid if you have to ask anyone a question. If you like alcohol you already know about BevMo! This is the candy store I like to play in the most. Location is convenient so if you have other things you want to do like shop Best Buy or Target or grab a quick bite you can. The parking is alway available although it's underground and costs but can be validated if you don't turn it into an amusement park visit. You can access directly from the parking structure or from the street. If from the street it faces the north. What can be said besides best selection there is. It is like the Costco or Sam's Club of beverages. I know there are some places that have specific specialties with more unique and rare selections but for an overall stimulus overload of alcohol in all forms this is it! The prices are very competitive and would take you some serious shopping around to find better on most items. This will be a forever staple in my purchasing. read more

This place really SUCKS ASS!! The employees are completely clueless and the managers are only mildly more competent. I went here to buy nearly a $100 worth of drinks for a b-day party and they dicked me around for a good 30 minutes when I tried to do a "cash back" transaction-- WARNING: Do Not Ask For TOO MUCH Cash Back, even if the machine says you can take $100. And their name means "More Beverages" doesn't it? They barely have anything you'd use as a mixer-- sodas, milk, juice. The corner liquor store has more "beverages" than BevMo, plus I can scoop some Lotto tix. I had to hit another store to get the mixers so I should have just gone to Ralph's or Vendome Beverages in the first place. I will NOT go here ever again. read more

The staff is very nice and helpful. But, it seems like each time I go, I'm waiting a good while for someone to help me. I do like that there is a staff member there that knows his whiskey. That was very helpful for me. I'm hoping to run into someone there that knows a good deal about wine too. but, I guess that'll be one of my next ventures. It's not the biggest BevMo I've been to, but it's not the smallest either. Not a big fan of how some of their products and displays are laid out. The staff are very friendly and helpful at this BevMo location. Every time I have gone someone is happy to help me find the right poison . First time here, my man raves about this place. Spent $200 and got a lot of liquors. On average, you save about $2-5 dollars per bottle. Very clean and organized place. They have some things that I can't really find else where like Pravada. Again, price is excellent compared to grocery stores but I must say, the only place I find cheapest for the most is at Costco but very limited selection. Great customer service. This place for me was the discorery of the last week!!! I came there to buy Remy Martin XO because i tried to find it in 3 Ralphs and couldn't do it. I dont know about prices in wine and other stuff, but Dom Perignon is much cheaper then in Ralphs (because i was thinking to buy champagne as a gift for my friend). The guy who helped me to choose from Dom Perignon and Remy Martin and later to find the box tor bottle was very nice and polite. I definitely enjoying coming here and browsing the beer and wine sections. I can spend hours here and not get bored. So many different types of alcohols! The people seem nice, but the only real contact I have with them is "Yes that would be all for me". The prices are average. I bought a certain type of beer at trader joe's for about $2.50 and at BevMo it cost $2.99. Nothing to be excited about. The beauty of this place is definitely the selection. I went to the store on Santa Monica Blvd near La Brea looking for a specific wine and when I asked Zoroh who works there he just walked by and was not willing to help. Have been coming to the wine tastings on Sat. afternoons for three and a half years, best deal in town! For $2.00 for the whole tasting, you get to sample five whites and five reds. The pours are very generous and you can re-visit any one of the wines. The best part is the host, Don. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about wines and is also very friendly and cordial. I highly recommend this experience, go to the Bevmo on Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. I also love vodka, and Bevmo has an excellent selection and excellent prices. read more

I'm an Italian person, and two of my uncles were vintners (in Italy), so I'm ashamed to say that until about four years ago I only knew that I liked red wine more than white. Fast forward to me having been thumped repeatedly by life. You know the drill: slapped back, picked myself up, slapped back harder, picked myself up, and then finally pummelled mercilessly by fate and the Great Convivium of Enormous Assholes. At this point I'm limping, bleeding a bit, my clothes are torn, but my designer booties are intact (I'm a friggin' FANTASTIC discount shopper). It's at this point that I discover the almost Vicodin-like effect of generous yet reasonable amounts of quality reds. I'm no alkie, but I have come to love that second glass of an evening. I also discover, after several trips to Paris, that better-quality wine doesn't give me a headache, which was one of my previous wine-drinking blocks. What does BevMo have to do with this rambling confessional, you'll say. Well, here it is. I have officially overcome my deep aversion to the jock-y, frat-boy guys BevMo seems to like to employ and trust my own instincts, believe their labels, and even trust in the shady but somewhat likeable Wilfred Wong (little known fact: Wilfred Wong is in reality a 78 year old white lady from Tuscaloosa, Oklahoma). I have gotten some very, very good reds and a handful of make-me-change-my-mind whites at BevMo. Most recently, the 2004 Circus Shiraz (French) has made me sing "La Vie en Rose" to my fake Christmas tree (the tree enjoyed it, thank you very much...but then the tree is happy that I liberated it from the K-Mart from Hell). And then the Edmeades Mendocino County Zin...it's AWFUL! No, I'm just saying that so you don't run out and buy it all up. Really, I'm finally beginnning to taste those silly flavor notes everyone goes on about: chocolate, berry, diaper, cigar, plank of wood, etc. And when parking in their lot just seems too awful, Park on the north side of Poinsettia and just cross the street at the "WAIT. WAIT. WAIT" robotic-voice crossing. And stay away from the Circus Shiraz. It's mine. read more

For my upcoming wedding we decided to do the bar ourselves to cut cost and ensure we get to keep all the leftover delicious wine and beer afterwards. BevMo was my natural first choice for our alcohol needs. We ended up checking out with three shopping carts full of booze and needed no less than three staff members to help us along the way. The best part of the experience was saving nearly $300 by being a club member (can we say 5 cent wine?!), and the second best was when they gave me the nicest clerk to help me fill the car with all our loot. They all seem pretty knowledgeable and what's better are the wine deals you can get. Like the buy one, get one for next to nothing. Discovered some yummy finds this way. Alright, this review is a little off the beaten path, and is more of a warning when shopping at this location and using your debit card or cc. Be careful when inserting your debit card at this location. I shopped there on October 1st of this year, and the next day, my debit card number was stolen and attempted at a bunch of places. It was declined, since the person only had the number, and not the chip (whew!). I hardly use my debit card, so it was easy to figure out it was compromised at BevMo. Had no clue it was this location at first until...I went in to use my card again on Saturday December 1st (yesterday) and guess what? More alerts for fraudulent charges today (Sunday Dec. 2nd). Dude, I dunno if this is an inside job and your employees need a swift chin-check, or a savvy crook that's linking into your machines when you guys aren't looking, but GET IT FIXED ASAP! I had to do some digging and check my ledger history to see where I used the card before each hack happened, and sure enough, I swiped it at this location both times my card info was hijacked. Jose was awesome, he was very friendly and taught us about the wine. The wine tasting was a party with a great host and great wine. Can't wait until the next tasting. We rented a pony keg from BevMo for a party last weekend. Overall, it was a positive experience; they had a good selection, the keg was ready when we came to pick it up, parking in the underground lot was easy, and returning it was easy as could be. My one disappointment stemmed from when I called in advance to ask about pricing. The man on the phone repeatedly said that there were no additional charges beyond the rental and deposit, but this was simply not the case. Thankfully, those additional charges were minor, but it was still a bit of a letdown. read more
