Nice staff but picking up here is a joke. Every time: 'Huh, what order? Oh, the system didn't process it.'

I like the variety and convenience of shopping at BevMo but will be looking for an alternative. Over the past year, I've caught the staff at this store over-charging based on the in-store advertised price or not honoring coupons, even though they were clearly scanned. Each time there is no apology or explanation, and most importantly no change in behavior. Have to assume this is extreme negligence or being done on purpose. I've always had a good experience at this store but this morning I walked in on the manager Julie yelling a homophobic rant about someone that had just stolen product from the store. I understand it's frustrating to have people steal your product but that doesn't make it okay to be homophobic specially in front of other customers. My friend badly needed to use the Restroom. Jeremy's excuse for not giving us the key was that I was standing on top of customers when I was standing at the empty cash register next to Jeremy's cash register. I explained it was an emergency and he expressed no sympathy that my friend had a medical condition. We also felt discriminated because we were Asian and everyone was white. The white lady who asked for key after us was treated with more respect. Will not go back again until Jeremy is fired!! He needs to work somewhere where people are like him: racist and disrespectful to people with medical conditions. read more

I've been looking everywhere for the limited edition Absolut SF, and when I called around, this was the first place who carried it. Jackpot! It's basically a big warehouse store for all kinds of libations, but also with a large selection of gourmet sodas, cheeses, accessories (ie. fast-pour spouts, wine chillers, etc.). Prices on their hard liquor seemed very good. The buy-one-get-one-five-cents wine sale seemed very good, though honestly you can do just as well at Trader Joe's or Pavilions if you shop smart. They carry everything they are priced right, and there's an hour of free parking underneath the complex. Win. read more

You can make your order ahead of time... pay for it... and then just pick it up an hour later. Or several hours later. This saved me a whole lot of mindless meandering through the store. What can I say? I love me some BevMo, but for some reason, the people who work here - who aren't as helpful as the other BevMo. They have almost everything that you can dream about - either on hand or that they can order, or send you to a different location. Beer, wine, hard liquor, mixers, snacks, pretty much everything that you need for a party! ;) Plenty of parking at this location, but can be frustrating because it's an underground structure - where if you go down one more floor, there's plenty of parking OR parking a little further away from the escalator/elevator. Love this location. Parking is always close by (you can park in the Target / West Hollywood Gateway lot or on the street with meter parking). Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Have never had a problem here and always manage to find something that is enjoyable to drive. Whether its beer, wine or whatever. Poor customer service and never received the "2 hour" delivery; placed an online order, driver called but never showed. Called the store and was put on hold until I called back again to ask for a manager and the clerk told me he was "probably busy". Finally got the manager on the phone who was not helpful and told me that the delivery service is with a third party so he can't help me and he cannot assist with a refund. This store is pretty good. I come to this one the most, they always have the liquor Im looking for. Although lately they've added a grocery store, but it's very expensive when Target is right next door. You can pick up snacks but I would not suggest buying your dinner ingredents out of here. I like that I can come here and get out quick, but I always get an uncomfortable feeling from the cashiers. They're never waiting at the register for customers, you have to put your stuff there and wait for them to appear. I came in to purchase some GlenDronach Scotch and, on the way out the door, the bottle fell out of the cardboard tube. Although this was a 12-year scotch, I aged two years watching the bottle hit the floor. Mario, who cashed me out, said not to worry since the container broke in the store. BevMo doesn't have the best prices, but they send coupons regularly, and also send a 5% off bonus every time you spend $250. If you use and combine those coupons, you've gotta good shot at the best prices for booze, etc. The big problem with THIS Bevmo is, they're the only store that hasn't let me combine coupons. Today, they'd only let me use my $10 off $50 purchase OR my 5% off bonus coupon. Others BevMo's, like the one in West LA on Wilshire Bl., gladly let me combine both coupons in the same purchase. Today my son ordered water and soda to be delivered as the store is only open to pick up or delivery at this time. The website stated delivery between 2&3PM. At 3PM he called to see if it was on the way. A woman answered and said it would arrive "In a few minutes." It did not arrive. At 6PM he called to see where the order was. The woman checked his order and said it was ready. He asked if it would arrive tonight or tomorrow. She said it would arrive tonight as all the items were in stock. At 7:20, I called to see what was up. Nessa answered the phone. I asked for a Manager, she said the Manager was not in. She could help me. I asked about the order. She then tells me she told my son that the order would not arrive tonight, but tomorrow between 1&2PM. He should check his email. He checked his email that was generated at 6PM when he called. It stated the order would be delivered today between 2&3PM which was impossible as it was 6PM when the email was sent. I told her what the email said. She then says she's not responsible for the email system after telling me to check the email for an update. I was angry, and she told me she was going to switch me to Customer Service as I was yelling at her. My daughter works for Trader Joe's IN front of customers daily. This person deals with them on the phone at this point. My problem is not that I had to have the delivery items ASAP. It is the fact that there was not 1 straight answer given, it would've been as simple as " Here are the facts, your delivery will be tomorrow between 1&2PM - Sorry for the inconvenience." That's all, not 14 different stories by 2 different people. Not interested in basically calling my son a liar, he told me what he said, and what she said - He even told her at the time it would be fine for it to be delivered tomorrow. She insisted it would be today. If Bevmo can't handle delivery, then they should not advertise it. ALL stores are slammed, ALL employees are under pressure. I know my daughter is under that pressure. What makes me mad is the absolute confusion at that store. And, the Manager is not there to organize the situation. POOR leadership. Yeah, maybe he needs to work overtime to get it in order. Like most of us do. Never again, one last thing..After I got off the phone I did call Customer Service, and they were overwhelmed and were not taking calls..just emails. So, had I let her transfer me to Customer Service I would have gotten a recording going nowhere, super bad service. UPDATE 3-24 We rec'd an email that the delivery will arrive several hours later than Nessa stated. Also, they reduced the order. My son was told yesterday at 6PM the order was complete, and ready to be delivered. Interesting how suddenly today my order was reduced. When I first walked into the building I was greeted by a very nice young man who was willing to help and answer any questions I had. He was very pleasurable and made my experience trying something new a little easier. However, that quickly changed when I got to the counter. The girl at the counter was very dismissive to me. I watched her greet and speak to the person in front of me in line. When it became my turn, her smile immediately changed. I did not get a hello, or even eye contact. She asked me for my bev card number and I gave it to her, and she began scanning my items. I noticed that one of my bottles rang in a few dollar more than it had been advertised for. I mentioned to her that "I believe that price was wrong", and she completely ignored me. So I mentioned it again ... again nothing. Then when she was done, she just gave me the total. I ordered the wine I needed online and it was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. It took them about 20 minutes to fill the order, which was impressive. You get an email when your order is ready. This BevMo is humongous! Even though parking is a tad annoying because you have to go into the underground garage shared with Target, it was surprisingly easy to get from lot to BevMo. I ordered online to save time but seeing as the store was not very busy, this was unnecessary. Once inside there are aisles upon aisles of alcohol. From wines and beers to ciders, mixers, bar tools and snacks. Overall they have a decent selection. I think they could offer more variety in terms of bottle size. At events it's fun to pour magnums and they didn't have many magnums. I also think it's nice to offer more half bottles or splits. Prices are fair and they often run the $.05 promotion where you buy one wine and get the other for $.05. Recently they did this on a great Bordeaux that I've seen sold elsewhere for $30/bottle. The staff was friendly and eager to please and more than willing to escort me to my car with my order. One hour free parking in the lot. read more

I am a loyal Bevmo customer who was having some issues getting a large order in and was having to drive to all the locations around the Los Angeles/Weho/Hollywood area trying to get a ton of beverages and mixers for a party ***after 4th of July Holiday. Nobody was able to help at any of the locations and it was very frustrating having had Bevmo do many events for me the last 10 years or so...Probably even longer. I was finally back at where I started at the Weho location and two very helpful associates names Monet and Kristina finally helped me for a very long time and put the order together for me and got it all loaded into my car. An extreme amount of product to be pulled and discussions to be had and they were so kind and patient and even helped load up the truck when the 4 very large dollies were brought to the loading dock. Thank you again Monet and Kristina! (Also the manager on duty that day (who's name escapes me) was also kind enough to cover for them while they hooked me up and got all that I needed. I will say this is a stressful time and I appreciate her answering my questions - the delivery was late but it was explained that they have had an influx of orders. I went to buy a bottle of liquor. The Target in the same shopping center sold it for a dollar cheaper so I asked if they'd price match. She said "no sorry, we only price match to Total Wine". Turns out Total Wine sold it for 4 dollars cheaper. I thought, score! She said "oh sorry I can't price match after all that because it's lower than our cost". Obviously, this makes zero sense to me but I asked if I could have the dollar cheaper that Target offered instead than and she said "No sorry, we only price match to Total Wine". Time after time, I've given this place a second chance due to horrific customer service - thinking, "Hey! Maybe not everyone hates their job, their life, and - most of all - their customers?!" Plus, it's super convenient for me. But upon receiving increasingly worse customer service with each visit to this location, the straw(s) finally broke this camel's back - and propelled me to write my first-ever negative review on Yelp! (Yes, it took a lot.) I work in the libation (and food) sales business and cross paths with similar folk (as well as like-minded customers) all day long and I can't tell them quickly enough to avoid Bevmo AT ALL COSTS. After entirely too many foolish second chances, I'm taking any and all business elsewhere - and if you're reading this, do yourself a favor and do the same. There are so many other options nearby - and hell, you'll probably find better prices, too. (To be clear, the service is specific to this store. We called after wandering around the parking lot for ten minutes looking for a labeled BevMo pick up spot and were given instructions to pull near the loading dock. We then waited another 20 minutes for our order to be brought out, it still wasn't, so we ended up calling the location again. They finally brought it out to us after that second call.
