We were trying to leave, car lights are one and about 10 kids all ages continue to ride bikes in the parking lot, clearly seeing a car trying to leave. parents did very little to stop them. They play cricket and throw balls in the parking lot every day, no regards for the cars. The screaming from the volleyball court can be heard from inside your apartment. Adults and children. Office staff is kind and maintenance is pretty good and nice but the overall atmosphere is overwhelming. read more

OVERLY PRICED APARTMENTS. Prices are overly price and keep going up when you renew the lease. I have a 1bed, 1bath for 1650$. I renewed my lease and it is now 1740$. I did not give my 60 day notice i gave them 30 days instead and now i have to be responsible for extended time at the new rate they had raised which is $1907 that's only the base rent. I've only lived here for 2 years and have issues with incorrect payments. Giving my written notice they still gave me incorrect dates and prices, i did not want to stay longer and pay more than what i do not owe. I have service animals and they still charged me for them for months in living here until i had notice inadequate charges. Parking is very hard to fine by 4pm. After work i have to park either outside the gates by the leasing office or way further down pass my building number. I am almost 7 months pregnant and it's already hard for me to walk long distance. The gates are always breaking and setting up an alarm off during the day or at night. Leasing office do not answer there phones or call you back. Communication is poor. My car got towed because they did not have a handy cap painting, only a sign that is easily missed that is hanged up on there mail room. I had to report it to 911 so they could locate where my car was which i had to pay 325$ cash from the tow company. read more

I lived at Bexley at Westridge last year. Agents were generally helpful and complex was primarily clean, services prompt, decent parking and good neighborhood vibe (re: noise levels, positive resident interactions, pets, etc). I wish this review ended there- apologies for the rest of this lengthy post: Overall, I enjoyed living at Bexley, and would have given 5 stars, except upon move out, I was incorrectly charged for updates/repairs to the tune of about $2,000. The bill arrived about 6 wks after move out (which is their prerogative), but came as a surprise to me, and I spent months of personal time and effort working with someone in the billing dept. out of state, to resolve the situation. Eventually, most charges were removed, notably because I had filled out my move-in sheet in great detail- saved the copy, and I had taken very thorough photos of everything when I moved out, since I dropped off my keys to an agent at the end of the day, which they approved, but we did not do a walk-through of the apt. at that time (do not make the same mistake)! Weeks later, I was billed for a stovetop replacement (which I never used once). I only microwaved, because when I cooked, I did so at a relative's house to literally avoid any stove issues! The photos saved me because mine looked like move-in condition and the photos they had on file were completely different w/scratches- what?!?! I was also billed for warped floors, which I had listed on the move-in sheet. Fortunately, the associate at the billing office was decent enough to remove those items based on photos and paperwork I had provided. The third item was an issue with early move-out, which I discussed with an associate at the Bexley office, who was very helpful at the time, but since I failed to get our convo in writing, I ate the $700 fee which I had asked about when I consulted with the agent to plan the early move. Understandably, the fee is mentioned in the lease, however, the individual who explained my options gave the impression that no fees would apply under the circumstances we discussed- apparently, I had a $700 miscommunication and re-learned an expensive lesson- get it in writing/email! I still do not know why I was billed with those extra charge- it defies basic decency, but I hope my cautionary tale helps someone, just sorry it took so long to resolve and subsequently share- truly blemished an otherwise positive experience, hope you have better fortunes! read more

I chose these apartments last year for location to my kids high school and for the little bit of yard for my dogs. My choices were very limited do o accepted the apartment. Upon moving in it was clear it was not professionally cleaned or inspected because the blinds and light switches had dirt that needed to be washed and scrubbed off, the patio had kids paint on concrete and the yard was all mud. I noted this on inspection form when moving in. I was told they do not refresh the yards for new resident but I was allowed to spend my own money to input sod down (with no reimbursement). Not having the money to do that I just accepted it as is. There was bird feces always on the patio from roof above and when I asked if something could be done about it because it's a health hazard I was told no so I tried to do the best I could to sweep it off and dump water when I could. When it would storm it blows it all over the patio. Fast forward I renewed my leas e for less than a year because I am moving out of state but the bird feces has become harder to manage: I contacted the office again to request something be done because it's a health hazard for me and my pets and I don't have the proper equipment to clean it long story short, after some miscommunication and assumptions my the new property manager, her solution was to put in a work order when it becomes a lot and she will try to get someone to come clean it because they aren't allowed to disturb the birds. I say all of this to say that the environment is dirty, I feel like I can't keep the apartment clean enough despite my best, military inspection level efforts. It feels gross living here and the rent is unreal. I'm appreciative for the consistent efforts to check how people are living with their mandatory maintenance and pest control inspections, and the maintenance people themselves are really great but I would definitely say stay away and find a place that will make sure the unit is cleaned and sanitized, doesn't smell like the spices from the previous family... (it is still in the cabinets along with the dirt in the cracks and crevices of the light switches and floor boards). It feels gross. read more

Update: there was a shooting. Cannot wait to move out of this place. Counting down the days. Gym doors don't work. You have to pay for maintenance to replace a light bulb. I have emailed and called the number below multiple times to try and terminate my lease early and I've gotten no response. read more

I have been living in Bexley for almost 3 years now. And so my partner and I are moving into a 1 bed, - bath (Miller floor plan). Brandon helped us through the entire way of this process. We communicated amazingly, attitude on point, outfit... on point! He's the person to go too! Can't forget to shout out the new girl Candance... she's flippin' awesome and the sweetest! - Staff is incompetent and never on the same page. - Staff takes too long to resolve simple issues. They hardly ever follow up. - Staff lies to you and tells you they will work with you with issues but they don't care. -They claim that they need to go into apartments to change air filters but mine has still been the same one. -Gates are always broken or amenities are always under maintenance. -There's theft and staff claim they can't do anything about it. Makes you question what the staff can actually do. -Staff openly disclose private information about other tenants and then lie and say they don't. -The more you interact with the staff, the more you understand that they are not there to help you at all. -Noise levels are bad. -There are always dog droppings everywhere even on the concrete. -The property is severely mismanaged. I gave 2 stars because in the beginning, living here was better. However, I am leaving as soon as my lease is up and will NEVER live here again. I have had several issues with the neighbors above me and management does not seem to care and they have not been truthful. The grounds used to be beautiful but now there is trash, glass, and dog waste all around. It is supposed to be a gated community; however, the gates have not been working for over a month now. Valet trash pickup is hit & miss. Because the FOBs are working, the gym is available until 6 pm. So like how does that help the working folks who commute?? I am not sure the rent is worth amenties that either are not available or do not work at all. Renter beware! read more

I am only giving this apartment complex one star because the apartments themselves are pretty nice. My biggest complaint is the parking situation! I live in the front of the complex and there is NEVER any parking close to where I live. I normally have to park on the complete opposite side of my apartment and walk all the way back to the front. This really sucks when it's raining, freezing cold, or super hot. There are definitely not enough spots in the front couple complexes to fit everyone's car so I am sure everyone has the same problem. Another problem I have is the deal with the key fobs to get through the gates. I live with my boyfriend but I am not on the lease. Therefore, the front office told me I can't have a clicker to get through the gate. This is very irritating because I either have to call my boyfriend to open the gate or just wait for someone to drive through. I live here, so I come in and out of the gate every morning and every night. I should be able to have a clicker to get in and out easily. The nice thing about this place are the apartments themselves. They have many layout options to choose from and most are open floor plans, which I love! The appliances are also nice and have worked well so far. It also comes with a washer and dryer which is super convenient. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. They're working with a really sketchy towing company that is charging $300 per car that gets towed away and they only accept cash or amex only. This towing company is in Plano and more than 30 minutes away, it's happened to be the same towing company that towed my friends car at another apartment and they had the same experience as mine. They have been saying that they're trying to improve the parking situation but now it's getting even worse. All the people from the leasing office are liars since they kept denying that they have nothing to do with the towing company and for some reason they just appear inside the complex and tow cars. They can be really nice to you at the beginning but when you become resident here they just don't care anymore. read more

Lately the up keep of the grounds has gone down. There is dog poop everywhere. You literally can not walk off the sidewalk. The trash situation is gross. There is just so much trash, especially at the pool. The trash cans are always over filled and piled up the side by the end of the weekend. The pool was great at first, but now all the couches and furniture are just beyond gross. They look like they have never been cleaned. Last weekend there was green algae growing on the steps in the pool and on the pool chairs. This weekend the problem was still there and had not been noticed or taken care of and now there is green algae growing around the pool lights as well. Not to mention the pool chairs in the pool had brown slimy grime on them as well. The water looked very cloudy and I didn't even wanna go in the water. It's also a small pool for the amount of tenants that are using it every day. They should have built 2 pools for the amount of people that live here. I always have trouble finding parking at literally all times. Once we get off work its a gamble to find a spot. Forget finding any place to park after 8 . Your going to be walking a long distance. Which is hard to do if you have groceries or kids. The grounds need a serious cleaning all around. The entry to my apt story floor is stained from everyone's trash bags. There were literal maggots out side my apt from my neighbors trash. Besides that the apartments are nice inside. The apartment community is friendly and they have alot of great events each month, like food trucks, pool parties, and yoga mornings. The rent is high compared to others in the area, especially for what you are getting in amenities. I like living here. It just needs a good scrub down. read more

When my husband I first moved in everything was nice. No pet waste. Hallways were clean. Pool was spotless. Activity center was clean and relaxing. Now, 3 months later, it has all gone downhill. The pool area is disgusting. I don't even want to go down there anymore. The chairs in the pool are dirty and slimy. The lounge chairs look like they have never been cleaned. The BBQs are overloaded with grease and food drippings. Trash cans are over flowing constantly, the amount of trash left in the cabana areas is appalling. The algae growing in the pool creeps me out. Now on to the activity center. I have complained multiple times to the front office about the destruction this room goes through. There are constantly unsupervised kids that come in and throw the pool balls around the room, that jump on the furniture, use the coffee machine and pour sugar everywhere. The trash is everywhere. There are only 2 pool cues that aren't broken. We pay a lot of money for these amenities and it sucks that we can't even use them. The ground in our hallway is disgusting with the amount of trash juice that leaks everywhere from people's trash sitting outside for days on end. The lack of enforcement of rules around here is ridiculous. I constantly feel bad about complaining because the employees look at me like I'm stupid. Like they are just there to hang out and talk instead of actually taking care of peoples complaints. I understand property management is hard. A lot of people complain. There is a lot of maintenance, etc. but if you charge this much for rent because of the amenities I believe they should be taken care of with the money we pay. We have a year lease and we are guaranteed out of here when that time is up. read more

Parking here is terrible!!! Apparently, after my car got TOWED AWAY they told me if there's no parking spot I should park outside of the complex, outside of the gate next to the road. They even were LYING about not working with the towing company, the gate is broken and maybe "somehow" they got the gate code. But the fact is another person from the leasing office admitted they're working with them to tow cars here now before people even parked on the white lines, in the middle of the road and nobody got towed ever. If you come home after 10 pm ( this is what the lady from the leasing office said ) then you have to drive around to see if anyone is leaving, or you will have to park outside and walk all the way back. read more

My family and I have only been living in our apartment for 2 1/2 months, but I can't say enough great things about this apartment community. I'll start with Ambria who has been a total sweetheart and super patient from the time she gave me the tour and every interaction afterwards. The apartment that we stay in is absolutely beautiful! Nice layout, wood floors, granite counters and super CLEAN! The few times that I've submitted a maintenance request, they've always been very prompt in getting the issue resolved. As a matter of fact, I was having an issue with what I "thought" was my smoke alarm malfunctioning. Devon M. and Luke D. both came to my apartment (after their regular scheduled work hours) to assist me after I called the main office. After changing all of the batteries, disconnecting all of the smoke alarms, there still was a beeping noise that continued to radiate, periodically throughout the apartment. Devon M. and Luke D. spent a substantial amount of time canvassing through my entire apartment, intent on locating where the noise was coming. Finally, Devon M. walked over to my carbon monoxide detector (that I had brought into the apartment from my last home) that was plugged into an outlet and inquired what it was. After I told him, he unplugged the carbon monoxide detector, took out the battery and laid the detector down on the table. It was a few minutes afterwards, that we all realized the beeping noise had disappeared. Guys, the only thing that changed was Devon M. unplugging MY carbon monoxide detector that I brought into the apartment. It wasn't even the friggin smoke alarm!!! Needless to say I felt awful that these gentlemen had wasted their time on something that, unbeknownst to me and them, was a simple fix. Both gentlemen were super gracious, as I apologized profusely for imposing on their after work time. Devon M. and Luke D. went above and beyond what was required of them to assist me. My family and I are beyond grateful that we don't have to spend a 3rd night with the constant beeping noise from the.... carbon monoxide detector! read more

This is my first lease since college, and I find the experience so far just as pleasant. The unit was spotless on move in, the whole process was simple and stress free. The staff respond promptly to inquires and aren't a pain to deal with. This community goes above and beyond. Every staff member is genuinely kind on a consistent basis. I have to give extra attention to the amazing Alba that keep the place looking pristine. This wonderful lady not only cleans the clubhouse every day, but greets you with the most heart felt smile that makes you feel like 1 million bucks. You can't help but smile back and have a good day. Let me start by saying I love my apartment. The layout is great, it's so pretty, and I love the upgraded options (granite countertops, all wood-look floors, subway tile backsplash, etc). However, the maintenance of the entire complex has really declined since I first moved in (while they were still under construction, so all was brand-new). I know they have been short-staffed on maintenance for a while, and the manager of the crew was very nice and handled my issue himself, after hours, while I was there to see what was being done. He was great. But, that was after I had emailed management three times, and gone into the office myself, only to be treated like I had no idea what I was talking about. The grounds are lovely, however we are surrounded by tenants who refuse to pick up after their dogs so you literally have to watch your step if you are ever walking through a grassy area. Not management's fault, it's just another issue to deal with that's pretty unpleasant. The side of my building is apparently used by many dogs and on hot days I can smell it when I open my door. The most frustrating thing of all though is the parking situation, much like everyone else has stated. It's been "addressed" repeatedly and "solutions" have been put in place but honestly nothing short of offering tenants a dedicated spot is going to work. The place costs too much to not have a parking spot included. Perhaps if they didn't give abandoned vehicles so many warnings before towing them, there would be more parking options and people wouldn't have to resort to parking across the complex or parking illegally and getting towed. I've quietly put up with many things during my two years in my apartment but I will now be looking for another place to live, as it has become out of control. I cannot recommend to anyone, which is a shame, as they really are beautiful homes. read more
