I absolutely love this place, from the alterations to the custom clothing. I started my quest to up my style game as a new year's resolution, and Beyond Bespoke has been by my side from the beginning. Nick and Stacie take pride in their work and strive to make their clients (including me) look the best that they can. Their customer service skills are top notch, and it is absolutely refreshing to get that kind of treatment in this busy city. So far, I have gotten entire suits, odd trousers, and sports coats tailored by Nick and his team. Some of the alterations that I needed are considered major surgeries, including shoulder reduction and shortening sleeves from shoulders. However, Nick and team performed said surgeries beautifully. After trying on each altered garment, it felt like I had bought clothes that were made for me! I have gotten quite a few compliments while wearing said garments around the office. And, if any of my coworkers ask who my tailor is, I don't hesitate to tell them that it's Nick at Beyond Bespoke. I also ordered a fully bespoke blazer from Beyond Bespoke about 2 months ago and have been wearing it for about 2 weeks now. The quality and fit is amazing. I love how I was able to take the reins on the design while also getting valuable styling input from Nick and Stacie. The end product was a sleek blazer that fit like a glove, is muted enough to wear around the office, and is stylish enough to wear casually around the city. More recently, I ordered a package of 7 dress shirts. Stacie was very helpful in the fabric selection process and very accommodating of all of my subsequent order changes, of which there were quite a few. These shirts should be finished in a month or so and will most likely be the subject of another review... I could not be more impressed with Beyond Bespoke's quality and professionalism. It's easy to make an appointment, everyone there is fantastic at their jobs, and the work they do is phenomenal. I have now had two bridesmaid dresses altered by Beyond Bespoke this year, and both turned out perfectly (even though I forgot to bring my heeled shoes along for the fitting of a dress that needed to be shortened-- BB worked it out!) Their prices are fair for the excellent work that they do, and they explain the cost of each element that's being altered so you understand how they came to the final price. On top of that, they turn alterations around quickly even during the busy season. The gentleman who owns this place and all his employees are the nicest. I got here with a coworker barely a min before they closed and they not only set my pants up for hemming, they fixed my coworker's torn pant seam on the spot so he wouldn't have to come back for such a minor alteration. I also appreciated his good eye. Most tailors ask 'how long do you want these.' This gentleman just knew how long work trousers should be for high heels. Unlike some of the other bridal alteration shops I reached out to, they send you email confirmations and reminders for your appointments - definitely gave me peace of mind as I was stood up by another shop for an appointment after I trekked into the city from BK with my dress on a hot summer day! I considered this my new go-to place for tailoring, but not anymore. I've been there three times now. The first was to have a seam fixed and a button replaced, they did the job while I waited and everything looked great. The second time was to have a dress hemmed. The work was fine but they charged over $100, just for hemming. This seemed a little ridiculous, as the dress itself was the same price as the hemming, but I paid it anyways since it seemed like a quality place. The third time I went in the woman who greeted me was very rude and dismissive. There was no "hi" or "hello" just "Do you have an appointment?" when I said no she said their turnaround time was currently 2 weeks. I explained that it wasn't a dress alteration and I just needed to have a grommet put on, but she just goes "No. Two weeks." then just stared at me like I was expected to leave, so I did. She was so dismissive and she didn't even look at the garment I had. This was especially disappointing as I read many other reviews below about "rush jobs" and how friendly they are (there is a review below mine from 2 weeks ago about how accommodating and quick they are). ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! I needed a last minute alteration for the skirt I was wearing to graduation (meaning I was already stressed about a million things and needed the skirt to be perfect ASAP). I brought the skirt in Monday afternoon. The skirt had a complicated lace design. I needed the waist taken in. I picked up the skirt Wednesday afternoon and it was exquisite. There are no words. Actually there are. Nick, Stacy and Nellie are the BOMB. Why? See below: - The shop was closed the weekend before Columbus Day but since I was having a surprise wedding and couldn't risk bringing my wedding dress to work on a weekday to stop in at Beyond Bespoke during the week, Nick snuck me a weekend appointment with Nellie who happened to be working that day any way. Basically he went out of his way to do me a solid before I was even a paying customer. - After my initial fitting, the bill came out to higher than I wanted/expected/budgeted for (also because I'm an idiot and thought tailoring would be magic, fast and cheap -- OOPS). Nick and Nellie worked with me to bring down the cost and was totally happy to let me sleep on it, take it for a second opinion, etc. - My wedding dress wasn't made well, so Nellie patiently reconstructed my left boob dart like five times. Nick made sure I got the last appointment on Tuesdays so that I'd have all the attention. They also explained to me why it wasn't working and strategized ways to fix it. - Some of my fittings happened on days when it rained/snowed and on those days, Stacy cleaned and wiped down the floors so that I wouldn't get my train dirty during the fittings. -On the day I picked up my gown, Stacy had one of the tailors (who's name I didn't catch) walk me downstairs to my uber and arrange my dress in the backseat so that there would be minimal wrinkles. -they never try to upsell you or pressure you into getting more things done. -Nick fixed the torn up inside lining of my husband's peacoat in 10 minutes free of charge as a wedding gift. -throughout each fitting, Nick and Stacy were super friendly and just put me at ease. -they let me drop in unscheduled to match my veil to my dress and then squeezed in an impromptu fitting at the same time since my dress happened to be ready for the next round. -they don't take on more than they can handle - during peak wedding season, they will turn away clients rather than accept and not be able to deliver, which i think is a classy move. -they regularly get invited to their clients' weddings. -they also alter for famous people and fashion show folks. Bottom line: this dream team is one in a million and I'm so so lucky to have found them. I've since recommended a number of my coworkers and bride friends for their tailoring needs. read more

I was searching online for someone to alter a dress i needed for an upcoming event. I found Beyond Bespoke called for an appointment and came in that night. My fitting was quick and easy. I paid my deposit and was out of there in under 20 minutes!!! The turnaround for my dress was one week, unfortunately during that time the event in which i planned to wear the dress was cancelled. I immediately called Nick who advised me the dress was already completed. I went to pick up the dress a day early the dress looked fabulous. Nick was fantastic and told me not to worry about the rest of the money for the alterations!! I will definitely be going back in the future and telling everyone i know about Beyond Bespoke! I wrote a post on this a couple of days ago, but it seems to have never posted. [Edit: Apparently my review got filtered....for reasons that I don't understand. I don't have a vendetta. BB's staff was nice to me, but they did a poor job for a bridal tailor. If that makes this an illegitimate review then I guess Yelp thinks my experience is not a basis for being dissatisfied with a business's work.] I took a delicate wedding dress here and BB charged me $150 for a hand-done hem. I was willing to pay it because the dress was delicate, and I figured the cost included the promise of treating it with care. The staff was all very nice and concerned with my satisfaction, but they damaged the dress and the hemline was originally uneven. I was extremely disappointed and would have asked for a refund if I thought I could keep my composure while explaining how frustrated I was. They may be good at other alterations but you should not take a wedding dress to them thinking their premium will buy you peace of mind. I regret taking mine there. read more

I was SHOCKED by all the positive reviews... but if you read between the lines, it's clear that they provide discounts for those who write positive reviews/check-in, so I guess it all makes sense. This place made alterations that were not agreed upon, and ruined my garments permanently. Oh yeah, they're also a complete ripoff.
