Honestly, I cannot say enough terrible things about this place. First the shirt was not ready as promised I was told it would be ready at 4 PM as was promised on the receipt. When I arrived at 4:30 PM, I was asked to come back tomorrow or told I could wait. They do not open until 8 AM and I have a meeting tomorrow at 7 AM so I figured I would wait.. I had to wait a very long time when the shirt finally was pulled out somehow magically. The shirt did not appear to be cleaned, was not in plastic, and certainly did not remove the spot that I was told they would try to remove. On top of this, I had asked for the shirt to be folded but they put it on a hanger. This is a normal men's dress shirt and can you guessed the price? $9.50. I ask for change, but they told me they don't have change for cash. Frankly, I don't know why I should pay when they didn't even clean the shirt but but for some reason I was feeling nice and just gave away cash. Not only was the guy disrespectful and yelled at me, but he didn't do his job. Honestly, you should really stay away from this place. He went off about having been in business for a very long time. I hope his other customers have had better experiences, but my experience with clearly not positive, and I would urge potential future customers to stay away. Good news (3 days later!): I got grandma's spot cleaner from Amazon (5 stars) and it removed the stain entirely within 5 minutes of massaging it into the shirt. no need to hire a professional cleaner for $9.50 who might or might not wash shirt and certainly does not used 'specialized chemicals' as they used to in the olden days. Amazing experience. I brought in a dress that needed to be hemmed and taken in at the sides. The hem came out perfect all around. They took in the bust and then had to add a zipper to the side seam. After all the alterations were done, the dress fell perfectly on my body. You would never realize a zipper was added after the fact. I had read the reviews and they seemed good. So I went, I need something done to my peacoat and have it dry cleaned. I was leaving out of town on Sunday and they were closed on Saturday so he told me it would be rushed by Friday around noon it would be ready. Well Friday I came around to pick up my peacoat and nothing had been done to my coat. I was super disappointed as I came in with the money to pay for it. So now I have to find a new place. Anywho, if you have things to be rushed, I don't recommend coming here for that service. Made me lose time and now I had to take my dirty coat with me on my trip. read more

Absolute scam artists. Do no recommend coming here if you're young and female. As other people have mentioned, they make up their pricing on the spot. Every part of the experience (drop off, calling me, pick up) felt shady and as though I was being scammed. TLDR: Go to any of the other dry cleaning places on the East Side - they offer better pricing, better customer service, and delivery. I brought 1 dress and 4 skirts on Wednesday to get dry cleaned. He told me the 1 dress would cost $45, 2 skirts would cost $70 ($35 each), and the other 2 skirts he had to check with his team if they could dry clean them and he would give me a call the next day to tell me if they could do it and how much it'd be. So I decided right there that I take out the 2 skirts and not have them dry cleaned. And he asked me why I did that. And I said I can just machine wash these rather than pay $70 for them. (I paid less for the two skirts in total). And he looks at the receipt and unconvincingly says "Oh the two skirts were supposed to be $35 total, I accidentally double charged you $35 for each - would you want to do it now?" I still declined because I could tell he was lying and it felt shady. I paid $45 for the 1 dress. He calls me the next stay to tell me that he can do the 2 other leather skirts. I said no thanks, I don't need it anymore. And he says "well they already started on it so i'd like to work out some deal with you." And I said "you told me yesterday that you'd call me to confirm if i wanted to get it done, I am now saying no." and he says "well they already started working on it and they're going to charge me for it so can we work out a deal." he said they usually charge $25 each per skirt. and i was like okay I'll give you $25 for both. and he said "no im not accepting that." In my head I'm literally thinking wow I could give you $0. I'm throwing you a bone despite this entire process being a terrible experience. I reiterate again that he was supposed to call me first to confirm if I wanted it which he did not do and that I did not want the service he was offering. He then agreed to $25. 1 hour ago I just went to pick up the dress and 2 skirts. I get there and pay him $25 for the skirts. He asks me to pay AGAIN for the dress....seemingly forgetting I already paid him on Wednesday for it. He looks down at the receipt and say "wow you only paid me $45 for the dress" in a very cheap, calculative manner. What the f*ck....that is how much he had quoted me from the beginning for the dress. Never coming back here. Go to any of the other dry cleaning places on the East Side - they'll offer better prices, better customer service, and include delivery to your apartment as well. read more

Every piece I had was high quality and returned to me as such, with the exact revisions I'd asked for. They even got stains out that I was sure were there for life! Aman, the tailor, did a gorgeous job on my floor-length bridesmaid dress! He was so professional, accommodating, and it was a very quick turnaround. Aman adjusted the length of the dress and the straps, as well as took the dress in on the hips. It looks beautiful and fits just perfectly! Altered 3 suit jackets for $300. the first one fits great, done it in 5 days for $100. the second one fits ok, done it in 2 weeks for $100. the third one is not so good, done it within 2 weeks for $100. He altered all three the same way, altered the back and the sleeves only. However just started working on the last two jackets in the morning of the pickup day. I came the day before the pick up day (around 4PM) and he did not started anything yet. I was shocked because a week and 6 days had passed but he had not done anything. As far as the owner (a black hair gentlemen), I was glad chit-chatting with him before knowing the result of my second and third jackets. However, after I politely showed him my disatisfaction on the last two jackets, and politely asking and hoping for him to fix the suit, I changed my mind towards him. He told me that the suits were already bad even before I left it to him (which is of course, I already knew that, that's why I brought it to the shop, to be fixed right?). He told me it will be a lot of work to fix the problem and he dont want to do it. After all, I assume his business mentality is to charged client as fairly as possible while also doing the job as less as possible. From this experience I learned that customer satisfaction is not a top priority of his because he will not go above and beyond. FYI: Make sure to take a photo of you with your suit on before they do the work so you can compare the difference. This place is my first experience with alteration. I have never been to any other shops. The three jacket suits that I brought were from Zara, which he believed were not a good quality, so thats why the result was bad. I might be a newbie in this thing, but this is my honest review. Also remember, I have my biases towards him, so my bad experience might not be happening to you. Maybe he was just in a bad mood while doing the job. But again, I spent $300, but I wish I have spent it in other shop. read more

This review is a few years late but I have a much better reference point now... I got two suits altered. This was also my first time altering suits. Sleeves needed to be shortened and pants hemmed. The pants were fine... The jacket though... The suits were from Saks. The sleeves were long by about an inch. The sleeves had four buttons. They are not working buttons... Instead of moving the buttons down, he just took one of them out. Never discussed with me if that was ok. You know what, I can live with three buttons. Not the end of the world. But!!! In the process of doing this he also ripped part of the sleeve!! This is not one but two jackets. Very poor job. He blamed that he didn't have the correct tools (that's not my problem - you shouldn't have taken the job then). But it gets better! He tells me my suits are poor quality and since he messed up, he will offer me a discount on his custom suits. If you can't alter jackets.... I don't know how you can even think about selling custom suits... I have now since altered more than 10 suits (of course at a different place) and no... it's not supposed to be like that and yes, you suck at altering. read more

It's difficult accurately to assess this shop. The people seem to be honest and they stand behind their tailoring work. I try, however, to be discerning and have discovered that the alterations are not always perfectly straight or as closely stitched as I would like. And for simple work, that the seamstress at my dry cleaner's can do, they sometimes charge twice as much. Really, for a simple job, it doesn't make sense to come here. On the other hand, they are quite good at overall tailoring and jackets that need complex work, they do a good job at a fair (but not low) price. So the lesson to take away is that if you are going to them, do it for real tailoring work -taking in and re-tailoring suits and dresses. One other disadvantage: they are not open on Saturday partly, I think, because they are on the lower level of the building they are in that serves as an entrance to the subway, but it is closed on the weekend. read more

I had a shirt that got into a small accident with a morning egg sandwich, so I bought it in this place since I work in the building. When I got to my office, saw that they charged me for a dress (double the price of a shirt). When I called to tell them, the guy said that because the button-up shirt was long-ish it's charged as a dress. Are you kidding? The shirt is silk so this isn't the first time I've had it dry cleaned, never has my normal dry cleaner charged me more because he decided that the shirt "is like" a dress. It can't even be worn that way. Lesson learned - after this transaction, I'm never coming back; I don't do business with unreasonable owners. read more

I purchased a one-of-a-kind beaded blouse that was no other tailor wanted to touch because of the delicate fabric. The tailor here loves fashion and clothes. I could tell because his face lit up when he saw the project I had for him--he had to take in ~30 inches in this blouse to make it fit me. He managed to do a great job and the blouse sits so well on me now. Side note, it's expensive but quality work. Come here for custom work, he'll do a great job. read more

Never got an actual work done but this guy wanted to charge me $130 to take in two skirts - $65 each. Taking in the sides less than an inch. WILDLY AND OFFENSIVELY overpriced. I laughed in his face and walked away. Can 100% find a place that will do the job for cheaper. read more
