There's a reason why Beyond Bespoke is the top-rated tailoring shop in NYC. You don't get that accolade unless you deserve it, and after going to Beyond Bespoke to get my suit tailored for my wedding, I can say without hesitation that they do deserve it! Beyond Bespoke is run by Nick Torres and his partner Stacie, and the whole experience was perfect from beginning to end. They are both super friendly and put you at ease as soon as you walk through the door. The whole experience is the polar opposite of other tailoring shops where you get rushed and pressured and feel uncomfortable. Beyond Bespoke has a nice waiting area, a bunch of nice changing rooms, and a front "showcase" area with mirrors where the measuring and fitting is done. Nick is clearly a master when it comes to knowing what needs to be done to get something to look good. There's no question about that! He is amazingly knowledgable, but also so friendly and approachable that you'll never feel intimidated. He takes his time with you, shows you various options, answers any questions with a smile, and never makes you feel pressured in terms of alteration options. Nick will tell you what changes he can make and what impact they'll have, and you can say yes or no to any of them. He'll even tell you which will have the most impact so that you can focus on those and skip the ones that won't be as noticeable. This is what a tailoring experience should be! I think I had a bit of PTSD from the last time I went to a tailor shop in NYC (years ago) and was nervous walking in. Walking out, I had a big smile on my face. I'm just now getting around to writing this review because I just opened a Yelp account, but Nick and the team at Beyond Bespoke really delivered, so I had to come and give them kudos. Back in October, I purchased an H&M suit on sale to get my feet wet in the custom-tailored suit world. Nick gave it the works! It fit okay off the rack, but he made it look absolutely bespoke - tapering the waist, the arms, the chest, and even changing out the plastic buttons for beautiful corozo ones. (What a surprising difference that makes!) For under $300 (the cost of the suit PLUS tailoring), I looked like I was wearing a suit worth thousands. Coworkers at my event were telling me I looked like I stepped off the pages of GQ! (A nice ego stroke, for sure.) I gladly shared Beyond Bespoke's info with them because I'm an open book, and I believe in giving credit where credit is due. They know their stuff, and even though I work in a casual atmosphere, the next time I need a suit tailored, I'm going to Beyond Bespoke! I needed a new suit jacket and a pair of suit pants altered since the jacket's sleeves were a little long and the pants were as well. The place was easy to find and the staff was very welcoming. There was a short line and as soon as it was my turn, I told them what I needed done and right away they measured me quickly, told me they would have it done in a couple days, and that was it. It was a very in and out operation, but made me feel comfortable that everything would be done properly. When I picked up my jacket and pants it was tailored to perfection. As you will read on the other yelp reviews, yes, it is pricey, however, if you want a guaranteed good job these guys will take care of what seems like anything. Use the Yelp deal. However, you may be able to find other alterations shops that will do just a good of a job (especially for simple things) as these guys and probably for cheaper. But if you don't feel like looking around (because you are in a rush, etc.) and don't mind spending a bit for a very high quality job, these guys will take care of you. read more

The entire team are excellent and efficient - from the moment you walk in the store to the moment everything awaits you on the day of collection, the experience is simply first class. Nick, Michelle and all the team there set the highest standard in New York - a city full of over-priced dressmakers claiming to be 'Tailors'. What really sets the team apart is the counsel and advice they offer about what works well for you, your shape and the attention to detail to the material involved. I simply wouldn't trust anyone else with altering clothes I have paid a lot for which is why I do genuinely travel from Miami specifically for that purpose. Beyond Bespoke is the only tailor allowed to touch my clothes. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!! I've brought in around $6K worth of designer clothes so far and every single piece was tailored to perfection! I never have to worry about my expensive items being ruined. You 100000% get what you pay for. I've also never had to take advantage of their warranty because all my items were always great upon receiving. On top of that, the team is so attentive and patient. They really make sure that everything is exactly the way you want it to be, which is awesome for a perfectionist like me :). Everyone here is truly kind and cares about their art. Nick Torres is absolutely amazing I was in a rush and only had my lunch hour to bring in my bridesmaids dress for alterations. Nick took me right away and explained to me that my dress needed work but not to worry. I had went to consultations in the area for other items and no one compares to beyond bespoke. When I returned to get my dress I couldn't believe it was the same dress, when I brought it in it was big everywhere and now it fits like a glove the dress feels like it was made for me.
