Dr. Peter focuses on my main concern which is a very stiff neck and shoulder. This is something I have been dealing with since I was a teenager. I had severe pain on my back in the middle of the night several days in a row a few weeks prior to this, and I knew I needed help. He made my appointment right there after the massage, and sent me to get the x-ray taken after the initial appointment. i just went to beyond chiropractic and got a massage. it was amazing. i shouldn't even be anywhere near a computer right now b/c i'm so blissed out. i hardly even know what i'm doing. i saw amber and she is the QUEEN of massage. i don't even know her last name and it doesn't matter because the next time i see her i'm gonna call her your highness. the thing is, for me, getting a message is usually, almost always, a frustrating, disappointing experience. this is because i have scoliosis. my spine is shaped like the letter S. on top of this, i have a steel rod the full length of my spine with several vertebras fused together. most of the body workers, healers, yoga teachers and the rest don't really know what to do with me. even the ones who've taken a bunch of classes on scoliosis still don't know what to do with me. they all think that steel rod is my spine even after i tell them it isn't. amber knew exactly what time it was. she figured out what was going on with out me even having to tell her. and she fixed me all up. it was amazing. i started having realizations about things in life, i remembered what i'd forgotten at the supermarket & then i forgot about everything like when you wake up from a really crazy dream you can't remember. amber's awesome. she's a nice person, she's very astute and very talented at what she does. and the drive to walnut creek isn't nearly as bad as i thought it was. even in rush hour traffic on a friday it was manageable. read more

I selected Dr. Maryam Noorivaziri from Beyond Chiropractic based on the previous reviews. I have been attending my adjustments based on a plan that Dr. Noorivaziri put together. With my physical therapy and adjustments, I have been for the first time in 3 months pain free. I love to play golf and I played a round with no pain during and after my round. I never had a deep tissue massage until that was recommend to me. After two sessions, I could see my back,getting stronger. I went to beyond chiropractic when I could barely move. I'm a preschool teacher so my lower back was in such pain that I couldn't really do much. Dr. Maryam has been really helpful. She actually takes her time to talk to me and ask me how everything is. She even came in on a Saturday when she doesn't come in to the office to see me because I couldn't make it to my appointment. I really appreciated that she changed her schedule to see me. She doesn't rush to finish and go on to the next. I really have been getting better and my lower back is doing so much better. I can unequivocally give Dr. Mory and the staff at Beyond Chiropractic a top rating. I have had back problems for many years and been to the entire range of medical doctors, physical therapists and chiropractors, but Beyond Chiropractic is by far the best of them all. A year or so ago my back became extremely painful, and worse still I was experiencing excruciating sciatica. It was so bad that I couldn't sleep and had to move to another room because my screaming and moaning was keeping my wife awake also. SEXUAL HARASSMENT ALERT! I was recently reminded of my experience at Beyond Chiropractic with their masseuse, Raul Garcia. It was SO disturbing!! I was the only patient left that Sunday afternoon, and Raul was the only staff member. I experienced some deeply disturbing experiences with him: he placed his shafted on my palm-facing-up hand 5 times as he was massaging my back from the bottom up. He would strategically thrust his pelvic region forward to match the motion of his hands and place his shaft on my hand, which was 1-2 inches away from the edge and would clearly require someone lifting and placing their body part on it. He was making comments the entire time "are you falling asleep on me" to saying "i hope it was worth the wait" at least 3 times while he waited standing in front of me once massage was finished as if waiting for something. I wanted to scream, and get away, but I feared for my safety since we were the only two people there. If someone is this unstable to do that, I couldn't imagine what my startling him would do. What's worse?!?!?! This business DID NOT address the concern!! I called to report this over the phone and requested an email address to submit my written report. I sent the detailed email outlining the events and expressing my discomfort and pain, but I never heard back. I still had a massage that was paid as part of my initial investment, but I never went back, and was not offered a refund or anything. Now, I don't know if Raul is there, but even if he is gone, I still feel discontent with management's lack of response regarding this matter. If you are getting services, especially as a woman, I advise you not to go, but if you must go here, go during normal business hours and make sure there are other staff members around. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Peter since April 2018. I am 65 years old and continue a rigorous exercising regimen at the gym such as boxing, jump rope, weights, and even burpees, etc. Because of age I choose to continue a maintenance appointment with Dr. Peter to allow me to continue my healthy lifestyle. My experience was a little unexpected. I paid for a full body massage. The gentleman asked if there were any areas I really need worked on and I explained my upper back. He was able to work on that area fine but didn't finish the rest of my body. What I'm really giving this bad review for is the fact that he talked almost the whole time. This place is AMAZINGGGG!! I came in the first time on a Groupon for a great price and service but now i love this place and keep coming back! The first time I came in I saw Dr. Mory she did a scan of my back and neck and showed me my problem areas. I am a hairstylist so my neck, shoulders, and back are fairly out of alignment from just work alone. She explained what that meant for the rest of my body and we discussed a plan for moving forward. She was very friendly and nice and explains everything in full detail. After that i saw Michael. He is hands down one of the best massage therapists I have ever had!! We chatted about issue areas, my line of work, workout routines, etc and he helped me understand and adjust daily things in my life that could help with the discomfort I have on a daily basis. I now sleep on my back which i have never ever in my life been able to do but now with his help I can! I wake up in the same position every morning. I love that his pressure is VERY FIRM! HA! Not for the light pressured folks for sure but i love his massages! He actually got thru my problem areas where i have built up scar tissue and helped break thru them in 1 time! I had one session with him several weeks ago and it was really nice that he remembered my issues that we had talked about previously and we got to pick up where we left off. He has given me advice that has helped me greatly outside of the sessions. Slowly bus surely I am improving my posture with his recommendations. I've been having back problems for awhile now, and at the same time I work a very physically-laboring job. I've known about chiropractic for a long time, but I had been a bit apprehensive about it because after doing online research, I had some mixed feelings about it. I decided to give it a try, what do I have to lose right?? I've had a few adjustments from Dr. Mory. Not only is she gentle with her work, but she also explains what she's doing, what she can tell about your spine, and why she does certain techniques. I tend to tense up when being physically handled, but she coaches you with breathing and speaks to you very calmly during the adjustment process and it's very reassuring. What I love about it most though is she does a tiny bit of massage either using a firm ball, or an electronic massager just to help you relax a bit. Sometimes my schedule is lenient, sometimes it isn't, Dr. Mory can do adjustments very quickly but comfortably, or if you have time, she does them slowly. I'm still having back issues, but they're becoming less of a problem--you can't get rid of 12 years of spinal problems with 2 10 minute sessions. Give it time, and you will see the rewards of it. She is so professional, gentle and strong at the same time. She will take the time to explain everything to you. They have a very nice office staff, always ready to help.
