Came back for the actual service which was really great for when you are seeing someone new. I really liked the stylist and vibed with her. However, the quotes were a bit different from expected but especially the bizarre custom and not verbalized expectations about tipping different people and not paying the stylists directly. The older front desk lady was quite rude and loud about it- very brusque. I didn't want to make it more overwhelming as it already was with the confusing situation. However, I'd like to request management to ensure front desk staff be trained with friendly customer service for paying clients especially if they aren't aware of your custom. I'd like to continue seeing the person I saw next time around but I wouldn't come on the day the old rude lady is there.

I went to Hannah, who at first was okay but at my second to last appointment did an awful job. Before my hair mistake color wise, somehow she turned my hair green. That was fixed at the time but I ended up with what looked like a giant skunk stripe in my hair when it went up. I went through the process of calling and asking for it to be fixed, which is already super awkward but I paid for a service with a certain expectation, and they also naturally have you go back to the person who made the mistake which is again, awkward. She wasn't able to, or willing to, fix my hair, just made it a little less drastic and advised me to wear my hair in a totally new and different style than my norm because it would hide her error. She also then refused to dry it unless I wanted to pay for a separate blow out, so it wasn't as obvious to me how little she fixed since I left with damp hair. To lessen my confidence in her abilities, she also got a call from a client, which she took in front of me, where the client complained that she had missed a good amount of spots whilst dying her hair a few days prior. Not a good look overall. My new colorist was very polite in explaining how she'd have to fix my botched color but I'm still a bit salty about what I paid for what I got here.

I first visited the hair salon and the front desk attendants were very helpful and friendly. Then I went to the location in the back, near the Goodwill store where I received my facial. The students were all very professional. My attendant was knowledgeable, gentle, and accommodating and provided me with a very relaxing and enjoyable "spa-like" experience. I've had some expensive curly cuts where they scolded me for not using their specific products and when they styled my hair there was so much product it almost felt greasy. Not the case with Ashlea! Here is why: 1) I respect any woman who books all of her own appointments herself, washes and blowdries your hair herself, and then styles your hair. There was no shampoo assistant in other words. This is a very hardworking lady! 2) Shanni was warm, friendly, and professional without being 'over the top". She's a normal, chill woman earning a living. 3) Shanni has 1 stylists chair in her salon where YOU the client sit, while Shanni styles your hair. You can watch the tv she has on. Having the opportunity to sit one on one with her made me feel very comfortable. When you go to most salons you will see everyone in there getting their hair done. Shanni puts ALL of her FOCUS and ATTENTION on YOU during your time with her. I was AMAZED by this. 4) Shanni took her time braiding my hair for the weave install. This stylist took HOURS on my hair, and not once did she rush or burn me when using the flat iron. 5) Shanni provided me with a complimentary bottle of water upon request. 6) Her tone when speaking to me was very respectful and never dismissive. 7) My hair was done perfectly. My own husband could tell how pleased I was by the look on my face. I have had horrific experiences with other stylists. Shanni was truly a breath of fresh air! 8) Her skill level was top tier!
