LOVE this place. And let me tell you I am PICKY. I was referred to BFH2T by a friend and have been seeing Bri for about 2 years now. I leave every time knowing I'm getting the treatment I deserve and my hair has never looked or felt better!! Bri has me on a whole new hair regimine for at home and finally my hair is healthy and growing!!! I love it. I am also a huge budget person so I know I'm also getting a deal on my treatments - esp. compared to other local salons I've visited. I have met the owner and other stylists on multiple occassions and have always been impressed with their professionalism and courtesy. It saddens me to have to write a terrible review. I was looking for a Deva cut/ Curly girl specialist in the area and came across Debbie from Beautiful from head 2 toe. I did a little research and looked at all the rave reviews so I decided to make an apt. Which was super easy with their online appointment booking. I arrived with my hair freshly washed and air dried as per the instructions that were given to me. I had to wait a few minutes for her to finish up her previous client before me. We briefly talked about what I wanted, I informed her I would like to keep as much length as possible and that I had some damage from heat and bleach. I wanted my curls more defined. When she was cutting my hair she seemed very rushed, not taking her time. She even had an interruption from her financial adviser in the middle of the haircut and she left to sign papers! She seemed more interested in getting the right shape of my hair to my head proportions instead of getting curl definition. She was combing my hair and stretching it up and over the top of my head. By this time she had brushed most of my curls out so it was hard to see any curl definition at all. As her assistant was washing me her next client arrived, no wonder she was in a huge hurry to finish my cut. After her assistant washed, conditioned, and put gel in my hair she stuck me under a HOT dryer hood. My hair frizzed out so bad from the heat it looked horrible. Debbie came back in to touch up/cut after drying and it was a dry frizzy mess. She cut a few pieces and said she was done. I pointed out a few pieces that needed to be trimmed and she told me that I was being too picky! How unbelievably rude! So I left the salon looking worse than when I came in. The next morning I styled my hair myself and quickly realized how bad of a hair cut I really got! What little curls you could see looked terrible. It looked like a shag haircut from the 80's. It was horrible! AND to top it all off I paid over $100 for the worst hair cut of my life. I have since found another curly hair specialist that took the time to cut each individual curl like a true Deva cut should have been. Unfortunately it cost me more money to clean up the mess Debbie made from my hair. I won't keep you here all day with the multitude of adjectives I could use to describe my satisfaction with the team at BFH2T; but I will say that as a newbie to Livermore, and the chance for a change from my commute to SJ for hair care, I am so very pleased with my decision to come here. I have a great stylist, Miss Bri, who is young, energetic, and really knows how to nail down what a fun girl like me is looking for. :) She started with a haircut, but it didn't take long for me to hand the reigns over to her talented self and now... well let's just say, I look oober Fabulous. :) Chelsea gave me fun Rock Star Toes, a hot yet classy cellophane tipped set of slammin' finger nails, and soon enough - the new Jan Marini product(s) I've started using will have my skin in order, too. Debbie has been cutting/coloring my hair for about 5 years now. Being a natural redhead, I was hesitant to have my hair colored at all (it had been badly colored in the past...think Ronald McDonald red). But the gray hairs were coming in with a vengeance so I had to do something. Debbie is the BEST at maintaining one's natural color while hiding the grays. She is supportive of any hairstyle/color one chooses, but will always kindly give her recommendations if she thinks something will work better. I was referred by a friend to go here for cut and highlights. I was very hesitant because of yelp reviews, I'm always reading reviews before I check something out. Well I decided to give it a shot and went in with an open mind and wow was I surprised. I had cut and highlights done by Bri she was a blast. The sign for the salon could be better- more legible it was hard to see because it's brown with the words cut out but it was cute nonetheless. Once there I was shocked to see it was busy after reading the reviews, it was also 10am! Bri got right down to business and chopped my hair off and began the highlights on it, only took 1 HR which was awesome! I got the tour.. I think it's a given that you'll get the tour and you will be wanting it just to see what else goes on in the house. I met the owner too seemed nice definitely a little TMI but seriously who doesn't go to a salon and complain about their lives? that's what salons are for...right? girl time with perfect strangers and then you find out you relate on so many different levels and you want to go back for more! I'll definitely recommend this place to my girls who want to try something new. Pricing very very reasonable! My only complaint is the lighting... it was difficult to see the new highlights in dimmer lighting. read more

This place is Awesome!!! from the moment you walk in the door you feel very welcome. I have been coming to this salon for many years now and have never left disappointed or upset that something did not turn out right. I get my hair done by Bri and she is amazing!! she gets my hair perfect every-time, from the color to the cut and style. I recently started having facials done with Melissa and my skin has never looked so good. I was having problems with breakouts so when I would go see her she would customize my facial depending on my skin. Since having facials done my breakouts have been becoming less and less frequent. She also put me on a skin care regimen using cleansers and moisturizers. They have a great selection of skincare: Jan Marini, ARC and Dermalogica. So far the only thing I have not experienced yet with the salon is a massage or waxing service, soon though... All the girls at Beautiful from Head 2 Toe are so friendly and nice!! read more

This review is for wedding hair and makeup done at my hotel suite. Amanda and Katie did our hair, and Bri did our makeup. These girls are loads of fun to be around and are fantastic at what they do! By the end of our session, my 3 bridesmaids, my mom, mother-in-law, and I looked and felt great! The girls were very responsive and patient with hair and makeup preferences, and for those of us who didn't really have preferences, the girls were really good at helping us find an elegant look that worked for each of us. The entire session was well-orchestrated so that hair curling, styling, makeup, and touch-ups were done at a relaxed pace. Bri was kind enough to even squeeze in an extra makeup session for my mother-in-law, which my mother-in-law really appreciated and enjoyed! Thanks to Amanda, Katie, and Bri for getting my wedding day off to a great start! I still see Debbie; one daughter sees her as well, still; other, Amanda (I meant AMANDA in prior review...knew it started with an A...LOL) They are all incredibly talented and know their art. Debbie never ceases to amaze me with what she can do with curls. She LOVES what she does, and you can tell. I can't tell you the number of curly heads with awesome cuts I have casually inquired as to who does their hair, and it's always Debbie! The salon is always ultra clean, they always offer a beverage-fantastic coffee! Debbie is genuine, generous, and funny, but serious when it comes to hair. Plus, if you need a minor bang trim, or don't like this or that after a few days, she is happy to see you. Although I have always loved what she has done, but I do appreciate that she wants you to be thoroughly happy with your hair, and that you get what you want. I was the first client at Debbie's new saloon. I need a pedicure for a event I was going to and even though the shop was "still under construction" and not open yet, Debbie took the time to do a beautiful job on my toes! She has never given me a bad haircut/color and takes her time to make sure she gets it perfect nor has she caused me any "pain" as Sun E stated....what a bitch, you must one of those people who is always complaining, get a life!!!!! A little over two years ago my husband started going to Debbie. When my hairstylist left the place she was working, and didn't stay in the business he recommended I go here. It had been a year since I had my haircut. In that time I had attempted to color my hair myself. I was never truly happy with it. After Debbie cut my hair I was amazed. It hadn't looked that good in a long time. Later I took my teenage daughter to her for a haircut and coloring. She did a great job on our hair, we had it done the same day. She really knew what she was doing when it came to what color would work best for us in the range of color we were looking for. She also took in to consideration how often I would be able to afford to get the roots done. Since then I've started taking my two youngest children to her. The youngest girl, 8, can be difficult to cut because she doesn't sit still. Debbie was patient, even though it had been a long day for her. She figured out how to get my daughter to sit still and did a fabulous job on her hair. Before she cut it she had her go through the books to look for a cut she would like. Then Debbie, my daughter and I all discussed what style would work best for her. Taking into consideration what she liked, what her hair type is, and her "life style". My youngest loved it. I have also been here for massages. All I can say is OMG they are GREAT. Just make sure you drink plenty of water afterward because the massage will release a lot of stuff. My oldest daughter loved her mani-pedi and the design they did on her toes. We both enjoyed our facials and understanding of what we need for our lives. In the end I'm glad my husband found Debbie and that we all go here. read more

I went to see Debbie after I got a MAJOR botched color job at a professional salon in Danville. I kid you not, my hair was BLUE!!! To make it all worse my botched hair appt was on Thursday, 8/11/11 and my daughter's wedding is 8/20/11. I was in tears. I called Debbie first thing at 10am on Friday morning, 8/12/11 and she had a cancellation at 1pm on Friday. I went there and she almost completely corrected my hair. I do still have a bit of gold in my blonde hair, but I am amazed that she got it almost back to perfect and although my hair is dry from all the processing, I am hopeful to have my healthy hair back. I also have long hair, so this was quite the job!! I am calling her to see if I can get a few lowlights just at my part where the gold is until we can get it fully corrected. I almost had a nervous breakdown over this and she assured me that she would get it fixed! She is amazing!!! read more

My husband and I have been going to Debbie at Beautiful from Head to Toe for almost 8 years now - she is amazing!!! My husband has curly hair, and she is able to cut it so it is not unruly, and all lays the same way - AWESOME! She also does my hair, and has never done me wrong - I have medium length hair, and it has always been wavy, but recently it has gotten more curly (oh and did I mention that I hate to spend time on my hair?) - she keeps my hair cut so it requires minimal styiling and always looks great! And now she even cuts my 3 year olds hair - and bang trims are always free - a great bonus for my daughter and I who only need our hair cut every few months! This salon is a gem! I love being able to come here and relax while I get my hair or nails done. Amanda does my color and extensions and she has magic hands. She is so sweet and takes a lot of pride in her work, as she should since I LOVE my hair. She always makes a point to ask me about how my extensions are feeling and whether there is anything she can do differently. She is always eager to learn about new tips and tricks for hair, which is great for me too. I went to another hair dresser for 15 years before Amanda, so I was reluctant to start up again with someone new, but I'm glad I did. Brittni does my nails here also. I have an acrylic set and fill them every two weeks. Brittni is super creative and always has a fun, new idea for my nails when I come in. She is also very sweet and pays close attention to my needs when I am in there. I have VERY sensitive nail beds and she is always willing to take her time with me so my nails don't burn. I give Beautiful from Head 2 Toe 5 stars for their willingness to make every client's experience one to remember. Their prices are set perfectly for the quality of work they do here. Debbie is a life saver!!! I came to her one night about 745pm almost in tears. My hair cut was screwed up twice by another salon. I walked in and asked her to help!! Updated review: Came back to see Jasynn again after a few months. My hair has been breaking, thinning, and a on the fritz scary mess again. Jasynn performed her miracle work on it and it has so much shape and curl! Brie came by and checked it and also offered a lot of good advice. These ladies really know what they are doing and provide a welcoming environment. Place is really cute and clean, too! Will be back in a few months. Totally worth the hour drive. Old review: My sister referred me to Jasynn after she saw her for the first time. I had so many issues with my hair and Jasynn took the time to really listen to what was wrong with my hair and really understood what my concerns were. She sat down with me I told her everything I needed to, and didn't feel rushed for a single second. My hair after the cut looks amazing. It curls the way it's supposed to and feels and looks really good. Jasynn is so sweet and friendly I'm so happy to say that I found a new hairstylist. I received a $50 spa.com gift card for my birthday. I couldn't find any place in Hayward that uses that specific card for payment, so I shopped around and found Beautiful from Head to Toe in Livermore. I booked in advance and payed $12.50 up front before my Saturday appointment. I thought I was getting a $25.00 pedicure which meant I would be paying another $12.50 from the card and whatever tip I decided to leave. After two wonderful cups of corree and an hour of attention, Imagine my surprise when I was told that my total was $45!!! $20 more than I thought I would be paying. So the"3/4 pedicure" cost me $50 because I did leave Samantha $5. This was ridiculous. The toes are very pretty, however, my heels were NOT touched and they are cracked and in need of a pedicure treatment. I have been going to Donna in Hayward for years and get a full spa pedicure for under $20.00 and that comes with the massage with lotion, too. The products were wonderful, Samantha was engaging, but I was so disappointed at the price and my poor heels are not happy. I should just have re-gifted the card and gone to Donna as usual. read more

I will never go back to this salon. I brought my daughter in to Bri for highlights and when she walked out her hair looked exactly the same, despite being told "you are going to be so blonde when you leave here". When I called the same evening to complain I was told it was her hairs fault, that she will need another process, but she will give us $20 off the next appointment. My daughter has had highlights before. She has never needed two appointments. So over $100 wasted. I decided to write a review after talking to two other hair stylists that said that is not true with highlights, only lowlights occasionally. They said she didn't leave it in long enough, which sounds more likely than blaming my daughters hair. I gave her a chance to make it right before writing a review and she chose not to. So consider yourself warned that if she messes up you will just be out a lot of money. If I could give her negative stars I would. read more

I highly DO NOT recommend this salon. I found this "salon" via spafinder so that I could use a coupon that I had received. The experience that I had was not that of a high-quality business. When I walked in the door, rather than getting me started on my service, instead they wanted to give me a tour of the place. I just wanted to get my service and be done. They didn't ask me, they just announced their intention and I had to tell them no, that I didn't want to do that. Then they were completely put off by my answer which made the service from the beginning very uncomfortable. The nail service that I had was adequate, but I could have gotten the same service at my local Vietnamese salon for less than 1/2 the price and 1/2 the time. There was no value add and in fact the salon surroundings and location was a big turn-off. I had said upfront that I wanted a no polish manicure but the technician put polish on my nails anyway. I wasn't really paying attention and when I realized what she was doing I asked her to stop and then she wiped the polish off haphazardly -- she was pleasant, she just wasn't very precise with her work. The atmosphere of the place is exactly what this place looks like from the outside -- like someone's small, cramped, unkempt home. For the prices they charge I prefer to take my business to a real salon. The final issue was when I went to pay. I was first surprised that I was charged full price for my manicure considering it was no-polish, but I didn't say anything...(should have in hindsight). Then the coupon that I was using was from a service that they had not dealt with recently, but wanted me to be responsible for the full service charges if they could not figure out how to redeem the coupon. The owner took no responsibility for their own business marketing relationships and whether they were active or not and wanted to pass on the cost of their mishandling to me, the customer. After our discussion, she threw up her hands and walked away from me. Truly appalling behavior from a business owner. The funny thing is, although I really was not impressed with the salon, I was looking at some of their products and wondering if I should come back to look further into their Deva hair care line. A smart business owner has the viewpoint that the customer is always right and treats them that way. Had that been my experience maybe I would have been a repeat customer...who knows. I went in for my first ever real hair cut and it was a Devacut. I was extremely nervous about cutting my hair I had been talking myself up all week so I actually would make it to my appointment. To start when I called to make the appointment it was definitely a trust booster that the woman I spoke to knew everything about the Devacut process. When looking for a stylist you don't know how many times I heard "you're going to have to contact the stylist to get information on that" like what? You don't know what happens in your salon? But the woman who took my call gave me a run down of how my hair should be when I come in and what would happen at my appointment. Debbie and her assistant are amazing. I was nervous but they are confidence inspiring. Debbie is so...I don't have the words, I was so unhappy with my half straight (from all the heat products I've used) frizzy, dry hair that I had no idea how to take care of because no matter how good the products I bought were supposed to be they just weren't working for my hair and that frustration is the worst. Debbie talked me through the whole cut and kept in mind that I was so NOT ready for shorter than my shoulders hair lol - Her assistant gave me a step by step on how to wash, condition complete with a mirror so I could WATCH how she was applying the products and working them into my hair. Debbie walked me through how to set, clip, dry, and style my hair. They both spoke about each product they used and what it's purpose was. How to take care of my daily so I'm not spending a hour everyday trying to get this hair under control. Honestly seeing how knowledgeable she was when it came to curls put me so at ease. My hair looks so amazing now, when she showed me my before and after I cried. It has been such a struggle and my natural hair was such a confidence downer and hard to deal with period, I think I was so used to it looking bad that seeing it look this good just did something to me. I'm not a crier I swear. This whole experience did something to me, I've never been so excited to take a selfie in my life lol read more
