I had to get a molar tooth pulled and Dr Yassin was excellent. She's really good at what she does. I've still had some residual pain in that area deep in the gums, so when I came back to have work done on another tooth, Dr Cheema actually looked at my x-ray (from where the molar tooth was pulled) and she took the time to explain that based on where that tooth and infection were, it was likely that my nerve was what was still giving me the pain. This was what I suspected but her validation was what I needed. Dr Cheema is also excellent and she is very patient, always taking time to make sure I've had my questions answered and that I'm good. In general, it's actually fun to sit and chat with the dentists/assistants while they work on my teeth so I don't mind anytime I have to go back. Their office has been very helpful and patient with me. I appreciate all of them so much.

SCAM Great experience at the office - terrible communication with billing…read more I called Lanier Dental on June 23, 2026 to schedule a dental new patient cleaning. During this phone call I asked very direct questions regarding my insurance provider, if they were in network, and what to expect. I booked my appointment purely based on the fact that I was told my insurance was in network. I asked specifically "would my insurance cover a cleaning along with new patient x-rays" I was told yes. On July 3, 2026 I had my appointment. The appointment was great! The customer service was amazing...it lasted three hours. As I went to check out I was told I needed to pay $125 as a co-pay. I asked why it was such a large co-pay, the lady at the front kindly explained her reasoning and made me only pay $100. She told me to call my insurance in a few weeks (since it is in network!) to see if I will get a refund. July 28, 2026 I call my insurance provider to see if I will get reimbursed for such a large co-pay. The insurance provider said Lanier Dental is not in network and that I owe them over $300. I spoke with Lanier dental and asked them to explain why they stated that they were in network, but my bill and insurance is showing otherwise. I was told that I signed a document prior to receiving services stating that I agreed to this. (I have no doubt I definitely signed this) This document was a long document. Do not trust what you are told regarding insurance, do not sign the new patient paperwork without confirming with your insurance provider what will be covered. Ideally a simple phone call to Lanier Dental stating "Will this be covered by my insurance?" should provide clarity on what your bill will look like after a visit.

I love this dental practice!! Their staff is amazing and I'm so grateful to be apart of it now for the last 2 months. They go above and beyond for each patient even from the second they walk into the door! I brought my 4 year old little boy in for his dental health visit not to long ago, to see Dr. Brittany and Karen. I was a little nervous about how he would do with the whole process but my mind was set at ease from the second they walked out to get him. They let him be apart of his treatment by telling him about everything that they were doing, as well as why they were doing it. They gave him a Teddy bear to hold on to during all this, and were so good with him. I've never seen a child leave the dentist and be excited to come back, but he's talked constantly about how much he loved it. It means so much to me that they took the extra time to make sure he wasn't scared to be there. I highly recommend BGW Dental Group! read more

Just moved to the area and needed to establish a new Dentist. I got a recommendation from a friend for BGW in Gainesville. I could not be more pleased with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in their offices I was welcomed by the friendly team at the front desk. The waiting area as well as the overall dental rooms were clean and tidy. My cleaning and x-rays were handled efficiently, pain-free and actually quite enjoyable. The hygienist and her assistant were friendly and full of useful advice and overall made me comfortable. The dentist was professional and clear on what he needed to share with me. The overall professionalism I experienced from everyone there made my visit enjoyable. This was my initial visit to BGW Dental Group for a routine check up and cleaning. Megan was the hygienist who greeted me warmly and escorted me back to the examination room. As she took x-rays, she kept me posted on every step of the way. She then did a thorough cleaning and polishing of my teeth, still talking with me the entire time to let me know how everything looked. After she finished, Dr Ryan Wood came in and did a thorough examination of my mouth and teeth. Dr Wood shared with me any issues that he found. I could not be more pleased with the entire experience. Dr. Bennett and his team preformed oral surgery on me, this morning. It was immediately evident that they had "invested" in planning and preparation, well before I arrived, from the surgical team being in the room, waiting for me to get started to the administrative team that had all of the financial, scheduling, and the post opp prescriptions, so my family could drop them off at Wal-Mart while I was in surgery - they were ready for pick-up, immediately. Thanks for the detailed verbal and written instructions for my recovery, I am recovering comfortably at home. The staff is tremendously helpful from the phone to the vehicle when your finished and always ready to assist you with any questions or concern. The quality of care that you receive is unmatched by any other service that I have experience. I was personally super nervous because I had only had checkups and cleanings up until this point. BEST dental experience anyone could have!!! Friendly, professional and accommodating staff from the minute you walk in. These people really care about your oral health and will go through length to make sure you get the best care no matter what. Seriously!! They will work with you to make sure your mouth (and the rest of you) is healthy!!! I can't even recommend any one dentist or hygienist because they are all equally awesome. Dr. Wood, Tara and his team are AWESOME! I had a tooth extracted after several months of trying to save the tooth plus a bone graft. The entire experience from sedation to leaving the facility was great! Everyone was very pleasant and attentive to my needs and worked seamlessly together. They were all smiling and joyful which in turn calmed my nerves and the whole atmosphere was upbeat. As soon as the procedure was complete, Dr. Wood spoke with my driver with instructions for me for the remainder of the day and Tara got me together and wheeled me to my ride home. Dr. Bennett and Tiffani were both so helpful. I had my cleaning and I have TMJ which makes it SO DIFFICULT for me during dental appointments but they both worked with me to make it as painless as possible. They both gave me recommendations to help with my TMJ by making referrals to specialists, explaining how Botox could help and/or braces to help align my jawline. They explained everything in detail so I could understand and were just overall FABULOUS. Going to BGW makes going to the dentist much easier for me. read more

I've been a patient here for many years, and you won't find a better practice. From the front office staff, to anyone else you encounter. I've normally always seen Dr. Bennett, who is an amazing person and dentist. I needed an emergency visit but I saw Dr. Wells, and needed an extraction. He and Ally were absolutely wonderful. Sasha is my hygienist and she is as good as it gets. I have been seen at one time or another by all of the Dentists that practice there and they have all been very good. I continue to recommend them as the best in this part of the Southeast Should you have any need of Dental work they should be your go to people. The ongoing preventive care is superb and the remedial care (fillings, crowns) are reasonably priced and once in there they stay there with no problems. Just a great place PERIOD. Randy H read more

I have been a patient here for over 4 years. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave....it is nothing but amazing!! The staff, the Doctor's and the beautiful new office are above and beyond what you could ever imagine!! They make you feel like family, not just a patient. We moved to the Gainsville area about a year ago and were desperate for a new family Dentist. When you compare the marriage thing with finding a dentist, I figure you can always leave the husband at home but your smile will always be the first thing people notice about you. And for the record, I do love my husband dearly and knew quickly what a great gem he was (no research needed)........so here we go....new place......no dentist.......How do you find a good one........Since my occupation is in the medical field, I knew that I wanted a dentist that invests in his own business and has the newest advances and technology. I literally read every review and profile of every dentist around and none can come close to Dr. Gritsiv. There is a special machine that only a few dentists have in this area --- it is called a Cerec machine and in dentistry, it is a game-changer. The Cerec machine is extremely expensive and requires extensive training and in the Gainsville area, only two or three dentists have this machine. If you compare dentists to vehicles, a regular dentist would compare to riding a bicycle while a Cerec Dentist is driving a Tesla. Both will get you to the final destination but the process with a Cerec Doctor is much faster and when you arrive at your final destination you look much better after riding a Tesla for 50 miles than driving your bicycle. The Cerec machine can make a crown or overlay in minutes and looks and fits better. No more nasty impressions, temporary fillings, and unsightly marks, once finished it is completely indistinguishable from your real teeth. What makes Oakwood Smiles such a great Dental office, is a combination of an extremely talented dentist, completely painless procedure, top-of-the-line technology, wonderful staff with a truly caring attitude, and a beautiful office. Most importantly, I trust Dr. Gritsiv explicitly and he only recommends a treatment plan that is truly in line with the condition of your teeth. (Trust me there are plenty of shady dentists that will do unnecessary work to make a buck) Sure you might find another dentist that might be a little cheaper but you will not find a better dentist.

He contradicts himself from one visit to the next. When you have a serious medical condition, and try to explain the precautions for procedures, he huffs, "It doesn't matter." He didn't even try to help with the reason for my visit on this particular day. All he wanted to discuss was an upcoming procedure, which is not happening with him. He said one thing the first visit and a totally different thing this time. He's all over the place. I will find a kind and competent dentist that listens to medical concerns. And by the way, I have friends and family who have left the practice since Dr Owen took over, because of some of the same things I am sharing now. However, his assistant was a helpful and polite young man. I am blessed to be surrounded by kind, competent and compassionate medical professionals. Unfortunately, Dr (??) Owens is not one of them.

Why would they leave doctors on their website that aren't working there anymore? If they can't even keep their website updated, can I trust them with my dental care?
