I was referred to this practice by a friend while looking for a new dentist. She raved about Dr. Bhat. I decided to give it a try. This is a husband/wife owned practice. Both of them are absolutely amazing with such warm personalities. They make you feel welcome and put your mind at ease. I believe they have 2 locations. They pass on their knowledge to you so that you can take great care of your teeth and educate you of your best options without trying to just take your money. How does one give a review to a dentist? Is the dentist a pleasant place to visit? Does the high pitched sound of a dental drill bring back good memories? I hate to say it, but I have had enough dental work done to give an informed review on a dentist office. I have been to Dr. Bhat more a few times not and have spent a lot of money there. The office on Hwy 155 is in a good area and it was next to my place of employment so I went to them and their work is fantastic. The office is run by a husband and wife and they are a friendly pair. Even when they are letting you know you need improvement they do not make you feel ashamed or embarrassed. Their office manager is no nonsense and will split payments for things like crowns. They even let me pay ahead. As far as I can tell they accept most insurances. When I have taken my children there, the were good with them even though they are not considered a children's dentist. The sign says by appointment only but when I had an emergency they were able to see me right away and even stayed late. Personally, I am going to keep going there until I do not need a dentist any more. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 8:00am and I had confirmed my appointment a couple of days before...unfortunately I was up all night the night before my appointment with a migraine so I called to reschedule my appointment and I was charged $140 for breaking my appointment. I tried to explain to them (the lady who works the front desk is extremely rude and condescending) that I was on the way to the doctor to get medicine for my migraine but she didn't seem to care and told me the doctor (the wife) told her they still had to charge me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They have no policy for when someone wakes up sick! I cancelled my remaining appointments with them and will spread the word how HORRIBLE this office is. read more

The employees are so nice!! Extremely attentive to detail during tooth cleaning, x-rays and exam. They even answer all questions before and after about your teeth. Give great tips for a better smile. I've been to the Eagles Landing location several times. Their prices are excellent. The receptionist is always nice - I didn't catch her name, but she was as nice as any other dental receptionist I've had... The lead time for appointments is short. Usually the week you call, or the week after. No waiting for months like some other places. The waiting room is clean and usually empty, except for one visit when there were about 5 people waiting, but we were all taken back within about 15 minutes, so even with a full waiting room we were all taken care of promptly. The usual wait is 5-10 minutes. I usually spend another 10 minutes sitting in the chair waiting on a dentist to arrive, which is par for most offices. Everyone is nice and friendly. Especially the male Dr Bhat, he is quite jovial and always gives me a good laugh when I'm in his chair. Once they get started on you it is over reasonably quickly. I've been to a lot of dentists, and had basically the same procedures done at them all, and Bhat dental seems to have a lot of efficiency in comparison. My only major complaint, and the reason I deducted a star, is that neither Dr Bhat (there are 2 Dr Bhats, husband and wife), neither of them can give a painless shot. Dental injections do not have to be painful, but here they will hurt you. I've been to dentists who took their time and made sure there was no pain during injection. These guys do not do that. They nail you in the head with an apology, and a whole lot of pain. I definitely would not bring a child here because of that. It is unnecessarily painful, and could be avoided with a little patience and proper technique. So, in closing, if painful shots don't bother you, this place will get you taken care of quickly and properly, as far as I can tell from the 8 fillings, scaling and planing (deep clean), and surgical extraction, that I've had done there. read more

Not a good experience. I have never had a cavity before in my 50 years. I went to these people for a general cleaning and was told that I needed $3800 worth of work done to my mouth. This was just to clean my teeth mind you! I decided to get a second opinion from another local dentist and he told me that my teeth were in exceptional condition for my age. I did not have 1 cavity and the enamel was in pristine condition. I later went to the dental hygiene school at Clayton University and was also told my teeth just needed a light cleaning. The total cost including xrays was $60. Another thing I did not like about Bhat Dental was that the dentist kept moving the lamp around to get better views of the inside of my mouth. After touching the handle she never cleaned her fingers before putting them back into my mouth. I should have said something to her but did not. I just rinsed my mouth out with mouth wash afterwards and prayed that I did not catch anything nasty. read more

Mr. Bhatt is nice but Mrs. Bhatt is rude, downright hateful . I paid well over 2k for dentures with poor fit & make sores in my mouth. I cannot wear them & she will not have the lab remake nor correct the issue. If I buy pants at Macys I can return if they do not fit. Shouldn't that be possible on such expensive & important item as my teeth?? Yes , she fitted me first & yes I did tell her they were incorrect at that time !! read more

This is my first time writing a bad review on anything. I usually only take the time to do 5 star reviews. I had a horrible experience at Bhat dental. The receptionist named Coretta was so very rude and even raised her voice at me. She hung up on my insurance company, and embarrassed me in front of the others in the waiting room. It was my first appointment and I was so upset from the way she treated me that I had to go outside for a minute and cry. I will never return there. Hopefully they will get a new front desk person who has respect for other people. Customer service was so bad. Don't waste your time in making an appointment. read more

I called bhat dental asking them if they took my insurance, which they said they did. Then come to find out from my insurance that bhat dental is not a contractor for humana meaning they can overcharge me anything they want and Humana will only cover the amount that is given so now I'm stuck with a $136 bill from bhat dental because they are greedy and worry about taking your money more than about your health. read more

I often just read reviews, but found the only review on this practice very negative. I experienced the exact opposite at this practice. I have recently changed insurance companies, and had a terrible toothache, so I called and a very NICE lady, Coretta answered the phone. She offered me an appointment that, even though I was hurting, would not work for me. I thanked her and told her I would call when I came back from my trip out of town. She said, "Wait, I can work you in early tomorrow morning. Would that work for you?" I was beyond grateful to her. After I gave her the information about my insurance, we hung up, and I realized that I had given her the wrong information. I called back, left her a message, and she quickly responded, telling me she had already reached my insurance company and all was in order. When I got to the practice the next morning, a beautiful, smiling Coretta greeted me, and the rest of the staff there was kind and accommodating. Dr. Balcos took the time to explain things to me, and made sure that I would not be in pain over the long holiday weekend. Not only will I be back next week for my treatment, I'll be sure to tell everyone what a joy it was to be taken care of at this dental practice.
