Dr…read more Lisenby and his crew of experienced staff have really done a tremendous job of helping me get my teeth back aligned the way I'd like them to be. I shopped at another orthodontic clinic (Spillers) and Dr Lisenby is so much better at listening to me as a patient and adapting his overall plan to my requests as his patient. I feel strongly about not putting micro-plastics in my body and expressed to Dr. Gordon at Spiller's that I didn't want plastic Invisalign parts in my body because of my concerns about exposure to micro plastics. And Spillers's Orthodontics was not willing to accommodate my concerns about micro plastics and were not willing to apply the old-school "train tracks" braces that are made from metal and not from plastics. Dr. Gordon at Spillers's told me that I would have to wear a plastic piece in my mouth for the rest of my life to keep my lower teeth in line. But, that's not something that I wanted. And I'm really grateful to Dr. Lisenby for being kind enough and considerate enough to let me use the old-school method which would pretty much eliminate my exposure to micro plastics through orthodontics. I'm really glad I went with Dr. Lisenby instead of Spillers's. And I would recommend Dr. Lisenby to any of my friends and family. So, a big thanks to Lisenby Orthodontics!

They were very kind and gentle with my 5 year-old…read more However, we waited over an hour in the dental waiting room after a brief wait in the front office. Our appointment was at 2:30. I had to get my child out of school early because you can't be late. We waited about 30 minutes for the dental hygienist who was very sweet, named Barbara. She took time to let my son look at her tools before using them, she even offer a choice of flavored for the toothpaste. Another, thirty minutes before we saw the the Dr., who was very nice and very professional, but we were kept waiting too long in an empty room. We read all of the books I brought with us multiple times. My child was tired and hungry by the time he was seen. I don't blame the service providers, as much as The scheduling , but it would have been much better to just make an appointment for 3 or 3:30pm if we when we didn't leave the office until after 4:30pm. I requested a private room, but I expected to be seen promptly. We will return, because it was very clean and organized. The doctors and staff were all very good with children.

I called our orthodontist in Oklahoma to see if we could make an appointment for when we returned. Our orthodontist was going to be taking his vacation once we returned, so we would have to go see another orthodontist that would be covering while he is on vacation. His office staff suggested that we try to find a local orthodontist that might be able to see her while we are still in Decatur, so that she did not have to stay uncomfortable while on vacation. I called one office and it was going to be $150 to clip a wire. I called a second office and they were going to charge $360 to clip the wire. My best friend and her husband suggested that I call Decatur Orthodontics, so I did. Allyssa was my first interaction with the office. She was kind and super helpful. She was able to get us in right away. Our visit was less than 5 minutes once we arrived. The office staff was helpful, kind, and extremely efficient. The office was super clean and very organized. They were kind enough to take care of this for us as a complimentary service. If we lived in Decatur, this is where we would go!
