Small, family-owned bakery with a restaurant on one side. Have been coming to the bakery for years, but cannot speak for the restaurant. I'm surprised by the reviews talking about rude customer service, as I've experienced and seen nothing but courteous, friendly service. Their pastries are tasty, and their breads are the best around. Lots of varieties, and they often have freshly-baked ciabatta rolls. Great breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches as well.

My wife and I desired an Italian Eggs Sausage Peppers and Provolone Cheese on a Ciabatta roll sandwich. And Biagio's delivered a 5 star sandwich. Delicious and exceeded expectations. Thank you!

Our friends got a few treats from Biagio's for a gathering and they were truly spectacular. The tiramisu and cheesecakes were so rich and decadent! They packaged the treats so well too, with liners between each one so the flavors didn't blend together in transit! Perfect for when you have a dinner party to go to but don't want to go empty handed

Why have we never come here? I've been to Biagio's for lunch plenty of times over the years but never came in for supper. Shame on me! Food was DELICIOUS. It's NOT pictured because we were such greedy gophers and gobbled it down before it occurred to me to take photos. We split a burrata salad then hubby had Shrimp Fra Diavolo and I had Linguine al Volgone. Excellent food and good quality as well as quantity. Hard to come by these days. We had a super nice server named Sebastián and he was ever so attentive. They are a BYOB and play Frank (Sinatra) in the background which just adds to the ambiance. Simple and elegant. We will be back. You should come too!

However, last week I looked them up and ordered through Yelp (facilitated by Grubhub, apparently). I ordered 2 of the roast beefs, 2 chopped chickens and a chicken Caesar salad and salivated during my 30 min drive to pick up. I arrived to an entirely still and locked store. No sign of anyone. I've often noticed vendors failing to update working hours, and that is frustrating. But what's worse is when I've got Yelp blaming Grubhub and Grubhub blaming everyone. I called and there was never anyone at the store though Grubhub took my money and gave me a pickup time. They agreed to refund me in several days but did absolutely nothing to compensate or remedy the situation and took no responsibility. So I will not be using Grubhub again (and that may mean ordering through Yelp if they only work through Grubhub). I hope Carved cleans up their act with times. Very frustrating when nobody takes responsibility and I don't know whether I can even trust ordering food through Yelp.

However, it…read moreis unrelated to Dorsi's, which means no more wonderful chicken salad, a Dorsi family recipe. Life moves on. We tried the Stirling Dip, which consists of sliced roast beef, sharp provolone, and caramelized onion on a garlic baguette. It also comes with a side serving of beef au jus, pickled cucumbers, and red onions. The beef was high-quality and so tender! The sandwich was stacked with a lot of beef, and we split it. It was super filling, and we had a hard time finishing it. The bread was soft and delicious. The sandwich cost $18.00. It was juicy enough that it didn't need to be dipped in the au jus. I would have given it 5 stars, but it was on the salty side. They told us that they will start serving meals in the future.

O'Bagel precedes itself. I felt the necessity to hit one of the franchises in their growing empire…read moreto get a sense of the hype. And in doing so - I was stunned to see the poor reviews on this Basking Ridge spot. After my go about - I have to admit, I'm still a bit bewildered. You folks are strange. So much to learn and not so much time. Take the knowledge you can from me whilst I'm still here. I was in the area scouting Morocco's training sessions - amongst other things... busy guy. Somewhat strong, somewhat not. Subpar successful. Borderline handsome. Leaning ugly, but it's a thin border and it depends on the day. It doesn't depend on the day, but let me live. Anyways... I was extremely excited upon finding that there were not 1 but 2 locations near the fields of which I was partitioning. And so ventured to this growing venture I did. I rammed head first into the glass door; however, I was best to the punch by a lovely family. I pummeled them to the ground. Somebody copped a feel but I acted like I didn't notice. Life of a Lobstah. Anyways I back-spring off the floor into a split lunge up into a squat and out into a Mr. Clean crossover stance, finalize it all with the MJ shrug. Don't believe it if you must - But you need to start exercising trust. You know what I'm talking about. Your therapist(s) say the same. Anyways... the menu is intimidating so I decided to keep it somewhat simple, I guess. Chicken - Bacon - Egg and Cheese on a sesame bagel. Marvelous. More places should do it, but not every runner is a sprinter. The cutlet was more of a juicy tender which surprised me but also made me very happy. The O'Bagel sauce was creamy, great texture and really subtle but noticeable strength in flavor. The bagel was also solid size, good crunch and nice softness. It was all very good. But, I think it's still moving towards greatness. Truth be told - I need to try more of their beautifully crafted and thoughtful creations. If I were in the area, I'd go here a good amount. This is a case where something unfortunately didn't over succeed on the hype but did probably meet the hype. I left happy - content - with no traces of tears (at least because of them... tears for other reasons? Maybe.... I found out my new pet pink panther is not actually pink. Nor is it a panther. I've already said too much...) I respect the grind, and I firmly believe that the potential of this chain is greater than 5 out of 5. I think they are scratching the surface of the moon. Itching a crater, planting a flag, pushing against gravity. Im thinkin collabs. I'm thinkin more sandwiches. More meals. More pastries. I'm thinking that I'll be following along closely from a far, from time to time, here and there, on occasion... but on occasion nonetheless. To lead, one must learn to follow. I said what I said and I mean what I meant. O'Baby, O'Bonotucci, O'Bagel I wish you previously unbeknownst success in your space - And I recommend others attempt this spot!

Lupa is located in a section of Berkely Heights that has seen a lot of recent construction, so it is very pretty and clean. You couldn't be blamed if you bypassed the restaurant. It is not very flashy looking and that is part of its charm. Be warned, there are not a lot of parking spaces behind the restaurant so you may wind up parking in the bank parking lot next to it (when the bank is closed of course). The staff at Lupa is super friendly and treats you like a regular even if this is your first time. The host was super nice, the waitress fantastic and the chef even came to our table to talk to us when we were done eating! The interior is very clean and modern looking. It's elegant and perfect for virtually any event including dates, anniversaries and family get togethers. We wound up sitting in the same area as the bar, which mostly has 2-4 seater tables and of course you can sit at the bar as well. The other side of the restaurant is where the larger tables are located. Here's a rundown of what we had: CLAMS ON TOAST Baby clams. crispy ham. thyme When I ordered this, I expected to see slices of toast with crispy ham and baby clams on top. Instead, it is two large pieces of wonderfully toasted bread with crispy ham on top. The actual clams sit in a *delicious* broth. Taken altogether these various components form a delicious bite. Be sure to dip that bread into the broth! SQUID INK SPAGHETTI lobster knuckles and claws. broccoli florets. grape tomatoes. Sherry Cream Sauce This dish has a wonderfully deep and earthy flavor. I've had squid ink pasta before and this was a wonderful example of it. The sauce was perfect and it was cooked beautifully. HANGER STEAK Truffled pomme frites. Chimichurri The steak was beautifully cooked (we had it medium rare) and the chimichurri sauce was great. However, the steak needed a bit more salt (and I'm not usually one to add salt to food). The pomme frites were wonderfully crispy and tasty. BROCCOLI RABE lemon. Kilos Broccoli rabe is a simple side dish but it is one of my favorites. It is also one that can easily be overcooked. These folks cooked it perfectly and it made for a fantastic side dish. My party and I loved our experience at Lupa and we all agreed we would happily return any time!
