I was having a weird issue where I'd be pedaling along and go to shift and the chain would move, work for a couple pedals, and then slip. Very awesome guy. He is something of a bike guru, he looks at your bike and knows whats wrong. He takes his time with each bike and makes sure everything is done correctly. I took my bike for a tune up and he spotted that that the last bike shop I visited not only lost parts of my bike but also did many of the jobs poorly and incorrectly. When you go to a larger repair shop in the back of a large cycle shop, you're often dealing with one person who isn't even the mechanic on your bike. And the mechanic who does do the work is often tired and indifferent because it's just an hourly job. Great guy! I called late in the afternoon and did not expect him to offer his services that late. I had shifting issues for very long time and so far no other bike mechanics were able to fully fix the problem. Armen came to my house check the issue and the next day returned to replace the failing part. It is already two weeks I ride my bike with no issues at all. (True story: I got stranded with a flat tire last week in Glendale at about 8 p.m. on a Friday night, and called Armen, who was actually willing to come out and rescue me--but then I realized it'd be easier to get an Uber to transport my heavy electric bike, vs. risking damaging Armen's little Saab with it. But he was there to open the garage at 8:30 p.m. for me that night--good luck finding that kind after-hours service at a storefront bike shop!) read more
