Friendly service, reasonable prices. Haven't been here before but prices cheaper than in Pasadena. Husband needs his bike serviced. I believe the owner helped us out, Martin. He saw bike was missing a spoke, rim bent, needed to be cleaned, oiled, and needed air in shocks. He also pointed out we needed a new chain. $75 for every thing. However because I was only person in the shop he promptly took care of my need. My little boy's bike had a blown back tire and Martin changed it in about 15 minutes flat. Martin's Bikes - Putting on a new road tire in the shop - Bikes Near Me - Los Angeles, California

TLDR; I was charged $95 for him to change brake pads and replace handlebar tape. $70 in labor (15 minutes worth) and $30 in parts ($20 for tape, $10 for brakes). Feels bad man. My road bike needed a tune-up as it wasn't shifting properly. I wanted to support the local economy during COVID so I decided to take it to Martin's Bikes. I dropped it off on Saturday and was told it would be ready Monday. It was eventually "ready" on Wednesday. I called Wednesday afternoon and he said the bike was ready to go. When I pull up to the shop, the only thing I see that has been changed is the handlebar tape. As I wait in front of his shop, he is changing the brake pads as he's talking to me about how nice of a bike I have. I asked him if he tuned the derailleur as it wasn't shifting right and he claimed everything was great. This was a straight lie. (I'm currently watching YouTube videos on how to tune the derailleur as it is still shifting incorrectly.) It is a terrible feeling to go home, be out $100 and be in the same position as when I took my bike in. I would consider this bike shop to be the equivalent of the shady mechanic who charges an arm and a leg to replace the air filter in your car. It is a bummer, but I will probably go to REI or some corporate shop to guarantee workmanship. read more

Wooo. So i turned in my bike for a simple tune up, Martin said to come back in 2-3 days . I gave him one week and it still wasn't done . I called him everyday after one week until he told me it was finished. I rode the bike and i ate shit , the chain came completely off . I went in and he fixed it for free but he held it for another week. Bad experience and a lot of money spent. Never again. read more

This location is the best place to get you cycle serviced or if you're in the market to get a new high performance bike. I highly recommend checking them out. This afternoon I stopped by to get a flat tire repaired and they went above what they needed to do and replaced the inner tube. I was early. I walked up to the women (while she was opening the shop) I'm guessing it was the wife. I told her I was interested in a road bike. She said out loud we don't have any road bikes under $1,500.00 as if she were bragging. I thought okkkayyy! She repeated it again as I looked around. This is a great bike shop!! Great service and a lot of accessories from, Helmets, socks, cleats, jerseys, shades, and bicycle parts and mountain bike shorts!! I went in to buy some grips for my bike. I ended up spending $60 on things I needed. It would have been about $90 buck but the owner gave me a $30 stand for free!!! YES!! For FREE!! I felt like lucky customer # 100!! Been coming here for 10 years, Martins is one of the only old school bike shops in ELA. He is very fair and very reasonable with prices. The tune ups are cheap and he continues to have old school prices. If you are close by I would recommend this bike shop hands down. read more

Im a beginner cyclist and purchase a used fuji road bike to begin with. I took my bike to Martins bike shop and he took care of me. Very satisfied with the customer service. I had my bike tuned up, wheels aligned, gear and chain cleaned. Was ready the same day but couldn't pick up. The next day i came out work late Friday afternoon. I have been there two times,, first time I bought the bike the bike I bought needed to be tuned up so I left it so he could adjust it when I picked up nothing had been done to it,, so I left it again when I picked up it was OK,, six months later the bike needs a tuneup I call him at 5:00 PM and ask him what time he closes he tells me 6 o'clock I told him I will be there in half an hour he said OK I will be here waiting for you I show up at 5:32 and he is closed, it be nice if he had the common courtesy just to call me and say that he cannot wait instead of me driving all the way over there and all the way back home, I will not ever go there again read more

Usually call ahead and confirm Martin is not running an errand before heading over. I needed some grease for my bike and wasn't in my area so I called the first bike shop on yelp. I explained how I wanted to buy some grease for my bottom bracket. Martin said he doesn't have any for sale but he would give me some for free. I know grease isn't expensive but not many bike shops will offer that to random customers... naturally I thought "what's the catch?" maybe this guy wants me to go to his shop so I can buy something while I'm there. From the moment I got there I could tell Martin is a straight shooter with a sense of humor who just happens to run a full service bike shop... I'm glad I called the right guy. Great bike shop, even though I haven't bought anything. I stopped by asking for information on sizing my bike, and other small details. I left with a HUGE amount of info and a week later I came back to buy a bunch of small items, socks, shirts and I'm even thinking about joining his cycling club...that is as soon as I'm in better cycling condition...HAHAHHAHA....
